I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Epilogue- Part 1:

--Emily's POV:

I couldn't help the smile that crept along my face as I looked down at my phone and saw Derek's name.

'Almost ready?' He texted.

I quickly sent back 'yes' and ran frantically around my room, throwing clothes into my duffel bag.

Butterflies flew around in my stomach as I packed the rest of my things thinking about what Derek was up too. I didn't even know where we were going. All he had said was pack a whole weekends worth of clothes and anything else I might need. He would be picking me up any time now and I felt like I wasn't ready. Scott was supposed to be home anytime now and I was trying to leave before he caught me leaving.

Sean already knew I was going and was downstairs watching TV. He no longer was my official bodyguard because Derek had been cleared of all his charges but he still hung around the house. Kate had been blamed for all the murders and everything seemed to be getting back to normal.

Sean had insisted on coming over today after I told him Derek was going to have me all weekend. I knew the only reason he was here was so he could lecture me and tell me to be careful. I knew it had to do with the fact that Derek was an Alpha now.

I didn't know much about the whole werewolf rank things but I knew Derek wouldn't hurt me. Don't get me wrong, it did scare me a little that he had killed his uncle but it was only because he had too. After that night, Sean and Derek talked to me about Derek now being the Alpha. Derek and I had spent the entire night talking after Sean had left. I was shaken and still a little in shock from the events from that night but Derek was with me, comforting me. Derek had seen how his new red eyes had scared me and told me that he wouldn't ever let me be around him when he was like that. I was thankful for it. I knew I would get used to it eventually but it would take time. The only reason they frightened me so much was because of what his uncle had put me through. I shivered just thinking about Peter.

"Em! Get down here before he gets here! I need to talk to you!" Sean's yelling from downstairs shook me from my daydreaming.

"Coming!" I screamed back.

I quickly threw on my thin black jacket that hung tightly against my body. I threw my duffle bag over my shoulder and shoved my phone in my front pocket. I winced as my hurt arm protested from the sudden movement. I couldn't stop thinking about when Scott had ripped me out of Peters grasp that night right before he was able to bite me. I rubbed my wrapped up arm as I recalled everything that happened that night. Scott felt horrible for fracturing my lower arm but I didn't mind. He was protecting me from Peter after all. Thankfully I didn't have to get a huge hard cast because the fracture wasn't that big. Instead I was stuck with what they called a soft cast, which consisted of a lot of bandages wrapped tightly around my lower arm. The best part was that I could remove it when I took a shower instead of having to go through the horrible task of trying to not get it wet as I bathed.

I ran out of my room and down the stairs, nearly tripping as I missed a step. Sean was standing by the bottom of the stairs laughing at my clumsiness. I glared at him for laughing at me and dropped my bag near the door and followed him into the kitchen. As I sat down at the table with him he glanced behind me at my duffle bag near the front door.

"Do you really need such a big bag? He isn't taking you away for forever right?" He joked but I could tell he was a little concerned about it.

"No, only this weekend." I smiled just thinking about it.

Sean shook his head and rubbed his temple with his fingers as if he was stressed.

"Em," He paused and took a deep breath, "I know you aren't going to listen to anything I'm about to say but at least hear me out. At least tell me where you two are going." He said growing serious.

I could only smile seeing how protective Sean was over me. I was thankful to have so many people around me that cared about me so much.

"I already told you, I don't know where we are going. He won't tell me." I said.

Sean let out a frustrated sigh and leaned back in his chair, crossing his toned arms across his chest.

"I’m not sure if I'm ok with that." He mumbled.

I had to suppress a laugh as my eyes met his blue ones.

"Sean, I will be fine. You're starting to sound like my mom." I teased.

He took another deep breath and looked antsy, like he was trying to decide if he wanted to tell me something or not. He always had this look when he knew something that I didn't and I was going to find out.

"Why don't you want me going with him?" I asked while squinting my eyes.

I was a little confused when his face became flushed and a little red. I couldn't believe my eyes. Sean was blushing.

"Ok, now you have to tell me." I snapped, getting a little freaked out why he was blushing about what he was thinking about.

"Hell, I have no idea how to say this." He said under his breath while he ran his hand through his blonde hair.

"Just say it." I told him.

"Don’t say anything until I'm finished, ok?" He spoke, looking me directly in the eyes.

I felt small and a little unnerved by his eye contact. This must be really serious. He took a deep, long breath and began.

"Em, you and Derek are mates." He started.

"Tell me something I don't know." I smiled, even though the idea of mates even existing still hadn't sunk in.

"Em. Stop talking and let me finish." Sean smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Ok, sorry." I smirked.

"Anyways, to a werewolf, mates are the most sacred and purest form of love to them. They will protect them at all costs and if one were to die, the other would more than likely die as well."

I felt my heart sink as his words met my ears. His words were deep and meaningful. If something happened to me, Derek would die? I felt sick just thinking about Derek dying. It was the worst feeling ever to even think about it.

"Are you listening?" Sean asked looking at me concerned.

I looked up at him and smiled a little.

"Yes, sorry I was just thinking about what you were saying. Go on please."

Sean nodded his head and started up again.

"You two are mates," He repeated, "But not fully mates yet, at least from what I know. You two are connected no matter what but Derek needs you. He needs 'every' part of you." He paused waiting for any reaction to what he was saying.

It didn't hit me at first but when it did, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I felt my face heat up as I realized what he was talking about.

"Oh." I said not able to say anything else from sheer embarrassment.

How in the heck did Sean know that Derek and I hadn't 'done the deed' yet? I mentally slapped myself realizing they had probably talked about it behind my back. This was so awkward.

It did make since though now. When Derek's uncle had attacked me, he had told me that Derek hadn't fully claimed me yet. That was probably what he was talking about.

"This is going a lot worse than I though it would." Sean said under his breath. "Look, I'm sorry. I just wanted to tell you to be 'safe,' as you might say. Having one of you around was hard enough. I really don't want to have to look after little Emily’s as well."

I suddenly stood up and put my hands over my ears.

"That's it! No more!" I said, not being able to handle anymore of this awkward conversation.

Sean only laughed at me.

"I just wanted to inform you." He said as he chuckled at my childish reactions.

"No. No. No. No! I'm just going to forget that this conversation ever happened. I can’t believe you even brought it up!" I screamed.

"What are you two talking about?" A new voice came from the kitchen entrance.

I spun around on my heel and I thought I was going to pass out. There standing against the doorframe with a smirk planted across his face was none other than Derek Hale himself. My face grew a darker shade of red as my jaw hit the floor. Sean's laughter filled my ears yet again, but this time, a lot louder. I quickly composed my self and shook my head. I didn't bother asking how he got into my house. He was a freaking werewolf for god’s sake.

"We weren't talking about anything." I spoke quickly and snappy.

My blush didn't go away though as I stared at the more than attractive man in front of me. His tight black shirt hugged his muscled body in all the right places, showing off his extremely fit body. His jeans looked amazing on him as usual and his jet-black hair was as it always was.

I had to force myself to look away from him and back at Sean.

"Please tell me he," I paused, hitching a thumb over my shoulder at Derek, "doesn't know that you were going to talk to me about this?"

I was praying that Derek hadn't put him up to it or something like that.

"No, he doesn't know." Sean chuckled.

I took a sigh of relief and looked back at Derek, who was watching me with a raised eyebrow.

"It's nothing. Don't worry." I said to Derek before he could say anything about it.

He shook his head and smiled at me.

"We better get going."

"Finally. Let's get out of here." I said, throwing my hands up in the air overdramatically. "I need to get away from this place."

I was about to walk past Derek but was stopped when he grabbed my arm and brought me into a short but sweet kiss.

My blush grew knowing Sean was in the room and had seen us. I heard a chuckle from behind me and decided to ignore them. Being in the same room with those two was just too much. I put my head down and walked past Derek and grabbed my bag by the front door.

Before I could open the door, Derek appeared next to me and I jumped from his sudden appearance.

"Sorry." He mumbled as he took the duffle bag off my arm and hitched it over one of his shoulders.

All three of us walked outside and I couldn't help my smile as I saw Derek's black Camaro. I seriously love that car.

Derek walked ahead and threw my bag in the backseat then went to the passenger side to open my door. He stood there waiting for me to tell Sean goodbye. I was still standing on my porch with Sean.

I turned towards Sean and felt bad when I saw the frown written across his face. As soon as he saw me looking at him, his face lit up and he put on a fake smile.

"I’ll be ok Sean." I told him as I wrapped my arms around him into a hug.

He quickly returned the hug and burrowed his face on the top of my head.

"If he goes all wolfed out, you call me." He said, his voice muffled by my hair.

"I will." I laughed and smiled as he kissed the top of my head just as a brother would to their sister.

We both laughed as we heard a very low and barely addible growl coming from Derek's direction. I let go of Sean, not wanting Derek to get even more jealous.

Sean looked up at Derek and gave him a cocky grin as if rubbing the kiss on my head in his face. I playfully punched him on the arm for purposely trying to provoke Derek. His eyes returned to me and he took a deep breath.

"So you remember your alibi for this weekend, right?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm at Allison's all weekend." I replied.

After that horrible night in the forest with Peter, Allison felt terrible for everything she had done and had promised to make it up to me. I had decided to use that to my advantage this weekend. She had agreed to back me up this weekend and tell my mom I was with her all weekend. I had told my mom and Scott that I would be with her as well and they believed me. Scott wasn't to happy about me stealing Allison all weekend considering they were now back together. Allison had been told the truth about everything and how Derek and Scott weren't as dangerous as Kate had put them out to be. Of course, her dad, Mr. Argent had something else to say about werewolves but she understood because he was a hunter. I was so happy Allison and my brother were back together though.

In the end, the only two people who knew what was actually going on this weekend were Sean and Allison.

"All right. I think that's it." Sean smiled.

"Ok. Thanks." I replied as I turned to Derek, who was still leaning against his car with his arms across his muscled chest. He looked a little annoyed and I knew it was time to say goodbye to Sean.

"I better get going." I mumbled to Sean.

"Yeah, he doesn't look to happy. Text me when you find out where you are going." Sean chuckled as I began walking towards Derek.

"Have fun and be safe." He said while drawling out the word 'safe.'

I blushed madly. It was more than awkward hearing Sean tell me to use protection.

I ignored his stupid comment. I went past Derek and quickly went through the door he had opened for me and plopped down in the seat.

He shut the door and I watched as Sean met up with him at the front of the car. I watched horrified as they exchanged a few words I couldn't hear from the inside of the car. Please tell me Sean isn’t telling Derek the same thing he had told me. The two men looked angry and so serious talking to one another. I rolled my eyes at them and knocked on the front window to get their attention. Both of their heads snapped toward me and within a minuet, Derek was getting in the drivers seat next to me.

"What was that all about?" I asked him.

"Nothing." Derek said with a smile and shook his head.

I left it at that, my excitement was to overwhelming to care about what they said and talked about outside the car.

"Are you ok?" He suddenly asked as he pulled away from my house and began driving down the road.

"Yeah, why?" I said a little to quickly, my anxiousness getting the better of me.

"Your heart is racing." He chuckled.

I smiled at him, fascinated that he could hear my heartbeat.

"I'm excited." I admitted.

"Good." He said, glancing over at me, and then turning his attention back to the road.

I found myself staring at him and smiling like an idiot. I had fallen so hard for this man. Yet what Sean had told me was in the back of my mind and worrying me a little. Was Derek taking me wherever he was taking me just to finish this so-called mate process? No, he isn't like that. Maybe I was just over thinking it. But what if he was? Half of me was screaming yes but the other half was scared out of its mind. The only way I could know for sure was if I asked him. Right now I just needed to relax and enjoy the ride and not think anything about it.

Derek turned to look at me for a second but I quickly looked away, not letting him see that I was watching him as I had an inner struggle within.

I leaned against the car window and watched the beautiful forest trees fly past us. I thought about telling Derek to slow down but I trusted him to keep me safe. My eyes slowly began to close and I knew I would fall asleep soon, the steady humming of the engine slowly lulling me to sleep.
