--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Chapter 69 RECAP:

--Emily's POV:

I heard Derek suddenly curse under his breath and I watched the back of his head as he shifted into his werewolf form. I looked over at my brother and noticed he was shifting as well. I quickly noticed that the hunters were uneasy as well as they looked around. I noticed Allison for the first time but didn’t think much of it. After all, she is the daughter to a hunter. I wondered how long she had been a hunter as well. Wait! If Allison is a hunter and my brother was a werewolf, it can’t be good. Allison and I exchanged confused glances as we watched all the people around us grow uneasy.

I sat silently as Derek's ears formed into points. I couldn't see anymore of his face though.

"Derek, what's wrong?" I whispered.

My eyes grew wide for a few seconds as he slowly turned his head towards me. It was only the second time I had seen him like this. His face was completely transformed. I felt lost as I looked into his glowing blue eyes. They looked so cold and icy. I didn't look away as he took my hand in his. I smiled slightly as his eyes flashed back to their normal piercing green before returning to the icy blue as if he was silently telling me that it was still him behind his werewolf form.

Out of nowhere, a horrible roar echoed through the forest.

"He's here!" Mr. Argent said.

"Who?" I asked Derek, hoping it wasn't who I thought it was.

Derek looked away from me but I could still see him long canines as he spoke.

"The Alpha."

Chapter 70:

--Derek's POV:

"Stay behind me." I growled as I helped Em to her feet.

"Ok." She replied as she stood behind me. I can hear her voice shaking out of fear.

I instinctively reached behind me and wrapped my fingers around her much smaller hand. Her heartbeat slowed down to a normal pace and she relaxed slightly.

A loud and threatening growl echoed through the forest again but this time it was closer. Much closer.

The three humans in front of me didn't even have time to react as the huge werewolf ran past them, taking out Chris Argent first. The Alpha disappeared into the forest as fast as he appeared. Chris fell to the ground unconscious from the blow, his gun flying out of his hand in the process.

The much younger Argent was next. Allison was knocked to the ground as well as my uncle swept through the group so quickly that I wasn't even able to keep up with him.

Scott was by Allison's side within seconds as we waited for the Alpha to attack again.

I saw that Kate was now the only one standing and I knew exactly what my uncle was doing. I backed up, pushing Em with me, to further us from the group.

Kate frantically searched around her looking and pointing her gun every which way trying to find my uncle.

In a flash, my uncle was right in front of her. She squeezed the trigger on her gun but it was no use. The bullet went flying up in to the air as my uncle’s clawed paw wrapped around her wrist. With a sickening snap he broke her wrist as if it was a toothpick. Emily winced behind me as we both watched the scene unfolding in front of us.

"No! Stop!" Allison screamed but there was nothing she could do.

We all watched as the Alpha's fur slowly fell from his skin, revealing slightly tanned flesh similar to my own.

Kate's eyes widened as she saw my uncle now standing in front of her.

"You." She whispered.

I could practically sense the shock surrounding everyone. No one but I knew that my uncle was the Alpha so their reactions didn't really surprise me.

"Derek, who is that?" Em whispered, her small fingers clutching tighter around my clawed hand.

"My uncle Peter." I spoke under my breath.

I could tell that Em was just as shocked as everyone else. My uncle was supposed to be in a coma, not going around killing everyone involved in the fire.

"But..." She started but trailed off.

My uncle’s head snapped towards us and I tensed as his lips curled upward into a wicked smile. What made me feel worse is that his eyes were not on me. There were on Emily.

"Hello Emily." Peter smirked as Em shook at his voice. "Don't worry. I will be done with her soon, then you can have my full attention."

"You won't go anywhere near her." Scott butted in.

He was now standing with Allison behind him not far away from my uncle and Kate.

"You couldn't stop me." Peter snorted.

"No, maybe not on his own, but we could." I snarled putting an emphasis on the word ‘we.’

Peter ignored us both and turned his attention back to Kate, who was still in his grasp writhing in pain.

"Lets not get to far ahead for now. I need to take care of you first before I do anything more." He said, his voice and face growing deadly serious.

Kate kicked at him and screamed as he drug her towards our old home. Allison moved forward to stop him but Scott stopped her. He quickly lunged towards Peter but my uncle was prepared. He turned on his heal and without releasing Kate, he smashed his free hand into Scott's face. Scott fell backward and didn't get up.

I heard Em gasp and before I could stop her she was running towards him. Thankfully my uncle was to focused on Kate and drug her into the house leaving us all outside. I was by Em's side in seconds as she kneeled down next to Scott. He was unconscious but I knew he would wake up soon. My uncle had held back. He needed Scott.

Allison suddenly ran past us as she too went inside my old house after the Alpha. I cursed under my breath knowing she was probably running to her own death by going after my uncle.

--Emily's POV:

My heart was pounding. It felt like it was about to make my chest explode. I shook Scott, as he lay unconscious on the forest floor. I took a deep breath as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Scott? Are you ok?" I asked as he slowly pushed himself up on his elbows.

He shook his head but didn't answer me. Instead, he looked around him frantically.

"Where's Allison?" He asked, his eyes glowing a bright yellow.

"In the house." Derek said next to me as he stood up.

Scott was on his feet in seconds and before I could even protest, both Derek and Scott were gone. I silently cursed at them for going inside without me even though they had purposely left me out here for my protection.

The cold air made everything so much worse as I stood to my feet and made the stupid decision to go inside after them. My feet couldn't carry me up the stairs to the front porch fast enough.

I ran through the front door with out hesitation and felt my stomach drop. I watched in horror as Derek's uncle held Kate with her back against his chest and his claws against her neck. Everyone stood across the room from Peter and Kate watching them carefully and cautiously.

"I think you owe me and my family an apology." Peter growled.

"Please, just give him what he wants." Allison begged, tears rolling freely down her cheeks.

Kate looked like she was fighting an inner battle. It was obvious she wasn't sorry for killing his and Derek's family.

"Say it! Say you're sorry for completely demolishing and destroying my family!" Peter yelled as his claws pressed harder into her throat.

Kate was silent for a few moments and I could see fear flash across her eyes for a mere second.

"I'm sorry." She whispered, her voice hoarse and shaky.

Peter stood up a little straighter as the words left Kate's mouth. A sinister smile played on his lips as he took a deep breath, as if he had a huge weight taken off his back.

"Now." He started with a smile. "I don't know about you, but that didn't sound like a very sincere apology."

I slapped my hands to my mouth in shock as his claws ripped across her throat and her body was thrown to the ground. She was dead before she even hit the ground. I looked up at Derek and noticed that he seemed completely unaffected by her brutal death. If anything he seemed relieved.

Allison's screams echoed through the old burnt house around us. She tried to go to Kate's body but Scott quickly grabbed her by her upper arm. He spun her around and held her in his arms as she cried.

I could feel myself shaking and going into shock. I had just witnessed a freaking werewolf rip someone’s throat out right in front of me. My eyes went to Derek, who had just turned to look at me. Everything seemed to move in slow motion and I was so confused as his eyes widened.

It wasn't until I turned back towards across the room that I saw why he looked like that. Derek's uncle was right in front of me. He cocked his head to the side as he watched me.

"Lets finish what I started." His eyes flashed red and he smiled.

I saw Derek running towards us but he wasn't fast enough. Peter's hand wrapped tightly around my arm and brought it towards his face. I couldn't move as his teeth formed into long fangs. Everything was still in slow motion as his teeth slowly pressed into my wrist. He was going to try and change me for good.

I felt a new hand wrap around my free arm and my body was violently jerked away from Peter. I let out a piercing cry as my arm felt like it was being broken in half as I was thrown behind my savior.

I landed on my back behind him but I quickly sat up worried that Peter would be after me again. I held on to my aching arm and looked up from the floor. Scott stood near my feet in front of me. Peter stood in front of him looking extremely pissed off. He took a step forward but Derek appeared in front of him as well. Scott glanced back at me and looked almost apologetic for being so rough with me. I gave him a small smile and winced as I looked down at my arm. The skin was already turning purple and swelling up where his fingers had gripped my skin.

"Get out of here. Both of you." Derek growled at both Allison and I.

He didn't need to tell me twice. I scrambled to my feet and ran to Allison, who was still staring at her aunt’s dead body. She was in shock.

I grabbed her arm and her head snapped towards me. Her eyes were red from crying and she looked like she was going to say something but I stopped her.

"It's ok." I whispered as I took her and moved towards the door.

"You won't be able to run for forever. These two won't always be here to protect you." I heard Peter laugh as he called after me but I tried my best to ignore it.

I didn't even turn around, I just kept moving with Allison until we were outside. As we reached the porch we heard snarls and loud crashing sounds coming from the house. We quickly ran down the porch stairs and Allison moved away from me to her dad. He was still lying were Peter had knocked him down earlier but he looked like he was waking up and Allison was helping him sit up.

"Dad. He killed Kate." I heard Allison's shaky voice.

I turned towards the house and silently hoped that Scott and Derek would be ok. I hated the fact that I couldn't do anything and I couldn't help. More crashes and loud animalistic sounds came from the house, making me fearful of what was going on in there. I needed to be sure that they were ok.

As I took a step forward I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to see Mr. Argent standing next to me.

"Stay here." He told me as he cocked his gun back, ready to shoot anything that came out of the house.

Allison joined us with her bow and arrow in hand.

All of our heads snapped towards the house as a body flew through the front window and landed across the front yard. Soon after, another body came flying the front door, landing near the first one.

I felt my heart drop, seeing that both Scott and Derek were the ones thrown from the house and were now struggling to get on their feet.

A loud howl came from the house making all of us turn towards the house again. The Alpha slowly walked out of the front door. His pitch-black fur shimmered in the moonlight as he walked on all fours down the porch stairs right towards us. Mr. Argent aimed his gun right at him as did Allison with her bow but I was beginning to think nothing could stop Derek's uncle now.

A loud shot rang out as Mr. Argent pulled the trigger and the bullet flew through the air. The Alpha continued to walk towards us, only faltering slightly as the bullets hit his hide.

Allison drew back her arm and shot an arrow at him but he caught it as if it was in slow motion for him. He easily snapped the arrow in half and let it fall to the ground.

Derek and Scott flew past me, and in a flash they were attacking Peter. My eyes couldn't keep up with the fight in front of me and I couldn't see who was winning.

Before I knew what was going on, Scott was being thrown away. Peter was on top of him in seconds with his claws raised and ready to plunge into my brother’s chest and throat.

A few more gunshots rang in my ears and the Alpha stumbled to the side. Mr. Argent had shot the Alpha's side and shoulder making him almost fall over.

Derek was next to him in a blink of an eye. I saw Derek's face and actually felt a ping of fear race through me. He looked terrifying and full of rage. Derek's hand wrapped around his uncle's throat and threw him off Scott and even more off balance.

Derek's claws continued to swipe across his uncle’s chest and body as I moved near Scott and helped him up. I heard another gun shot and watched as Mr. Argent joined the fight. His bullets never missed their target. I could tell that the huge Alpha werewolf had met its match. For the first time, Peter was losing the battle.

I looked away, unable to bear seeing Derek plunge his claws into Peter's chest with a sickening sound. I only looked back when silence filled the air around us. Derek still held his claws into his uncle's chest and was staring directly into his eyes. It looked as if the Alpha was holding on to life by a mere thread. Blood dripped off his black fur and pooled at his feet. Blood covered Derek's arms and hands making me feel sick and queasy.

"You won't ever touch her again." Derek snarled at his uncle.

I felt myself shaking as Derek's words left his mouth. He didn't sound like himself and his voice dripped with authority and power.

We all watched as the Alpha slowly shifted back into his human form. He made no attempt to remove Derek's claws from his chest simply because he didn't have the strength too. His raven black hair fell from his body once again and the once huge monster that stood in front of us was now only a man. He weakly chuckled, spitting up blood as he did.

His eyes slowly drifted towards me and I felt myself stiffen. Derek glanced back at me as well. I froze as his icy blue eyes met mine. They were so cold and empty. Derek realized that his uncle was looking at me again and pushed his claws deeper into Peter's chest. There was no way he hadn't reached his heart yet.

Peter looked back at Derek and smiled, except this time his smile was actually sincere.

"She's beautiful, Derek. You chose well." He spoke, blood dripping down his lips.

We all held out breaths, as he spoke, not sure what he was up to.

Derek's face softened for a few seconds but then returned back to its normal hard exterior soon after.

I almost felt bad for Peter, but I knew better. He was up to something and Derek apparently knew it too.

He ripped his hand out of his chest and let him fall to the ground.

Peter lay on his back gasping for air. I didn't know if werewolves could heal from such a brutal hit but all I knew is that we had won this fight, finally.

Derek slowly knelt over him and I felt my stomach turn, knowing what was going to come.

"Derek! Wait!" Scott suddenly yelled as he joined my side.

I looked up at him confused as to why he didn't want Derek to finish his uncle off. Not that I didn't necessarily want him to die. I didn't believe in taking anyone's life but in this situation, we had no choice.

"Please don't, this isn't part of the deal." Scott said desperately.

"Scott. What are you talking about?" I whispered.

"I have to be the one to kill the Alpha. It's the only way I can become human again; to kill the one that bit you." He said, his eyes never leaving Derek.

I looked at Derek wide eyed but he never looked up. He only stared down at his uncle.

"Derek..." Scott started.

His voice sounded so desperate. Did he really hate being a werewolf that much?

"You have already decided what you are going to do. You would rather become an Alpha by killing me, then saving your own mate's brother." Peter hoarsely whispered to Derek.

Derek said nothing. He only slowly raised his razor sharp claws above him, aiming for his throat.

"No matter what you think, you're just as bad as I am." Peter told Derek as if he was encouraging him to take his life.

Peter's head slowly turned towards me and his eyes glowed red but softened at the same time. His glowing red eyes turned back up to Derek and I could have sworn I saw sadness and pain in them.

"Protect her with your life. She's family now. These pathetic humans will come for you and tear you apart just like they tore our family apart."

Derek still said nothing but it didn't take a rocket scientist to know that he agreed with him. He wouldn't let anything between us.

I turned my gaze to the forest floor in front of me as Derek's claws went down. I didn't want to see Derek kill him.

I felt Scott tense next to me, as everything grew silent again. I looked up to see Derek slowly standing up from his uncle’s dead body. I couldn't see his face but judging by his ears, he was back in his human form. Scott's hand slowly wrapped around my arm and pulled me a little behind him.

Derek slowly turned towards us and I could feel the fear rising in me as his eyes met mine. His eyes were no longer the icy blue. They were glowing red just how his uncle's had. I shook as he fully turned towards us. His words echoed in my brain.

"I'm the Alpha now."
