Chapter 24

Before you read! > I had A LOT of time to write yesterday considering having to go on lockdown for the all tornadoes (pictures on my twitter) near us so I got 3 new chapters done! Crazy day haha so since I already have 2 more chapters written expect more updates more offten in the next few days!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Chapter 24:

--Emily’s POV:

I couldn’t tell you how long we stood there in the forest next to his old home. The trees swayed gently in the wind and created a low rustling sound. Derek’s arms were still wrapped around my body as we watched each other. He towered over me and with a pained expression, like he didn’t know how to tell me whatever he was going to tell me. I wanted to know what he was going to say but by the look on his face it wasn’t going to be easy for him to say. I didn’t want to pressure him but at the same time I wanted to know some things.

“Derek. You don’t have to.” I began to say before he interrupted.

“No. You want to know and Iv put you through enough already.”

As he removed his arms from me and I couldn’t help the pout that snuck onto my face. Derek smiled at my expression and I quickly removed any trace of the pout as my face began to turn bright red.

“Lets get out of here though.” Derek said as he placed his hand in front of me for me to take.

“Agreed.” I chuckled nervously while taking his hand in mine.

I gained another smile from Derek as he led me away from his old burnt home. I looked around while we walked through the forest, keeping an eye out for whatever the hell was out there.

--Derek’s POV:

“No. You want to know and I have put you through enough already.” I said as my arms slipped away from her.

I watched as her bottom lip stuck out in disappointment. I smiled at her just before she wiped the expression off her face and her face turned red.

“Lets get out of here though.” I said while offering my hand to her.

I knew the Alpha was gone but I didn’t want her here. It wasn’t safe for her.

Why was the Alpha here in the first place? He hadn’t sensed me but he had definitely sensed Emily. He seemed like he wasn’t there for her though and had left her alone for now. But, I had a feeling when I heard his second growl that he gained some interest in her.

All I could do was hope it wasn’t enough for him to come after her. I hated to admit it but he was so much stronger then me. Thoughts of what would happen if he attacked us rushed through my head. I wouldn’t be able to hold him off for very long by myself.

“Agreed.” Emily said breaking me out of my thoughts. Her voice was tainted with nervousness. She took my hand and I began to lead her away.

I needed to keep her away from her brother tonight as well. It was a full moon tonight and I couldn’t let her be anywhere near him if he was truly bitten. She would be safer with me. I would be able to control myself better then he would even though I already found myself losing control around her because of the full moon.

Coming from what Emily had said about him I was almost one hundred percent he had been turned. It didn’t help that she had said he was going to the party tonight with his new crush. That was probably one of the worse things he could possibly do right now because his hormones will be going crazy. It worried me that he would probably turn tonight and he could be in a lot of trouble. The hunters would be on him in seconds or he could end up killing someone. I would have to find a way to slip away from Emily tonight so I could keep him in line.

--Scott’s POV:

“Dude! I told you!” Stiles yelled as he approached me from across the room.

This whole week had been crazy. I had told Stiles about my encounter with Allison but of course all this did was send him into a frenzy saying he told me so. I just couldn’t bring myself to believe him.

It didn’t help that our lacrosse coach had forced us to practice with the lacrosse team this week even though we didn’t have school. He wanted to figure out who was going to play and who wasn’t. I had played extremely well and had even beat Jackson at his own game. Jackson was the popular kid in our class and was the team captain of the lacrosse team. Lets just say he was the schools typical most popular jock, well except for Zach. That bastard.

Coach had told me at the end of practice that I was going to be on first line and I couldn’t even express my excitement. Everything was turning out so well. I had an amazing girl and everything was going my way. This whole werewolf thing was the only thing holding me back now and the fact that it was impossible was making everything worse right now. I didn’t want to hear any of it, especially from Stiles.

I hadn’t realized Stiles was now in front of me. He hadn’t taken his Adderall and he was practically bouncing off the walls with questions and so called werewolf facts.

“There is no way I’m a werewolf Stiles. It just isn’t possible.” I replied.

“Scott did you not see yourself out on the field? You were practically an animal out there! You almost killed Jackson! His face was priceless when couch said you made first line!” Stiles yelled as he spoke with his hands.

I sat there trying to contain myself. He was beginning to piss me off more and more tonight. I felt like I was really on edge as Stiles kept talking.

“And! Tonight is a full moon!”

“Stiles.” I warned.

“I have been doing some research and I think it’s a terrible idea to go to the party tonight. Shifting is controlled by a rise in your heartbeat and seeing that you are going with Allison and Allison makes your heart rate rise, it is like practically like asking to get found out, or kill some one, or kill her, or kill everyone at the party, or worse you might kill me.” Stiles ran on and on as he reached for my phone on the counter. “You have to text Allison right now and tell her you can’t go tonight.”

Without even thinking, I flew across the room and slammed Stiles into the wall.

“No!” I screamed at him as my fist raised up ready to punch him. I could feel my heart pounding and it felt like it was about to burst out of my chest.

I was able to stop myself from driving my fist into his face some how. He looked at me frightened as he held his breath.

“I am so sorry.” I said as I released him from my grasp.

Stiles just stood there stunned. I knew exactly what was on his mind and I didn’t want to hear it.

“I’m sorry.” I repeated as I grabbed my phone. “I need to go get ready for tonight.”

I left as fast as I could on my bike and flew down the streets towards my house.

As I arrived at my house I shook my head trying to get my thoughts strait. I had almost punched my best friend in the face over a stupid phone. I noticed that Mom’s car was in the driveway. I prayed that she was going to work tonight so I could escape easily. There was no way I was getting this lucky sneaking out every night.

Running inside I quickly jumped in the shower trying to avoid mom. I finished and wrapped a towel around my waist, quickly making my way out of my room. I jumped when my mom came around the corner into my room almost crashing into me.

“Mom! Ever heard of knocking?”

She gave me a weak smile and held out her hand. She looked exhausted from work. I looked at her in surprise as the car keys dangled from her hand. We only had one car and we all had to share it but of course mom got first dibs because of work.

I didn’t move at first so she waved them at me again annoyed.

“I know your going out tonight. Just be careful.” She said while rolling her eyes.

I took the keys from her hand and smiled in relief. “Thank you mom.”

“So is she pretty?” She asked while picking up some of my laudry on the floor and putting them in the laundry basket tucked under neither one of her arms.

“Really mom?”

“Well I’m just wondering. Be safe ok? If you know what I mean.” She said being completely serious and giving me the ‘mom look.’

“Mom!” I yelped.

“What? I am being serious. Tell me you are going to be careful or you might as well give me those keys back right now.”

“I will mom.” I groaned.

“Good.” She said with a satisfied smile. “Have fun.”

And with that she left the room and I could feel my body relaxing. I needed to get going soon as I eyed the alarm clock on the dresser. I told Allison I was going to be there at eight and it was ten minuets until eight. I quickly got dressed and made a b line for the car.

I wasn’t going to let anyone or anything ruin this night.
