Chapter 2

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Chapter 2:

I have to say; this definitely isn't how I expected my first day of back school to be. Sitting in Stile's car for five hours was pretty boring.

My phone had already died because the lack of charge it had from last night. I was getting in a bad habit of forgetting to charge it.

Sitting in the backseat I decided I should probably do something productive. Pulling out the book we were supposed to read this summer I began to read.

An hour passed and I was just about sick of the stupid book so I decided to get in the front seat and try to hot wire the car. Before you say anything, yes I know, it sounds dumb but I had seen way to many guy movies with Scott and Stiles. How hard could it be?

Reaching the front seat I realized something. Something that definitely would of been helpful when first becoming 'trapped.' I almost laughed.

"Emily." I sighed. "You. Are. An. Idiot."

Reaching for the front door, I slowly opening it up. I must be one of the stupidest people on Earth.

I hugged myself to keep warm as the cool air hit me immediately as the door swung open. I grabbed my backpack and started to head home. What was the point of going in the school when I had already missed more than half of the day already?

It was going to be a long walk home but at least it was nice outside. The sun was up so It wasn't too cold yet. I just had to get home before it was close to getting dark.

Walking home probably wasn't the smartest idea but nothing really happened in this town, crime was seldom. The gravel along side the road made scratching noises under my feet with every step I took. The trees were swaying gently in the wind causing some leaves that weren't able to hold on to their branches anymore to be taken away by the wind.

Walking on the road along side the forest got me thinking about my dream last night. Of course now I was starting to freak myself out having stupid visions of a monster jumping out of the forest and dragging me back in. Shivering at the thought, I began to walk a little faster.

It seemed like forever since leaving Stiles' car and my stomach was telling me how hungry I was. Coming up to a busier part of town I saw the small Cafe that had been there for ages. I decided it was probably a good idea to stop for now. I could rest a while before making the rest of the walk home.

There were only three cars in front of it. An old beat up car, a yellow Mustang, and a black Camaro that had obviously just pulled up because its lights had just turned off. Walking in, I noticed there weren't as many people there as usual. There were only two men sitting at the bar. The bell rang as the door opened once again behind me. It must have been the person in the Camaro.

The man behind the counter smiled at me, "What would you like ma'am?"

Looking over the menu I decided quickly on the Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino and a bagel. I didn't want to keep the person waiting behind me in line.

"Sure thing. It will be right out." I sat down at the bar and waited for my order to be ready.

Searching through my bag I soon realized my wallet was not in my purse. It had to be in Stiles car. I began to panic, 'What do I do now?'

It got kind of quiet right after that except for the slow music being played in the background. The counter was empty now. The person that was behind me must of already ordered.

I sat awkwardly in my bar stool not sure if I should tell the waiter or not. I had never been in this kind of situation before.

"Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino!" My stomach almost hit the floor. As soon as I slide out of my chair I looked strait down at the floor almost the whole way to the counter where the waiter waited with my order. Before I even made it to the counter a figure stood in my way holding something out to me.

I looked up to see a tall guy in a black leather jacket and jeans, he had black hair and piercing, pale green eyes. He didn't budge; I realized what was going on as soon as I looked down at what he was holding out towards me.

"Here." He said, holding out a twenty-dollar bill.

"Oh no, I cant take that. Thank you but..."

"Fine." He said as he turned and handed the money to the waiter.

I stared at him blankly. Did he really just do that?

He grabbed my order while grabbing his own and walked back over to me.

"Here, now you don't have a choice."

I couldn't say anything at first.

"Th..ank you." Finally breaking the silence. "You really didn't have to do that."

"I know." He said while walking away towards a table in the back. He stopped before sitting down and smiled at me. Dang he has white teeth, I thought, laughing at my stupid comment in my head. He motioned for me to come to him. I slowly began to walk over to him.

"Would you like to join me?"

Is this a good idea? I don't even know this guy, he could be a crazy murderer for all I know. This was just to perfect for my liking.

"Don't worry. I'm not a psychotic murder or what ever you're thinking." He chuckled.

Smiling warily at him, I took the seat he had pulled out for me earlier.

"Sorry, I'm a worry wart." I mentally slapped myself. Who says worry wart anymore anyway?

"No worries. I understand." He said; he leaned back in his seat taking a sip of his coffee.

I started to open my bag that had the bagel in it. Curiosity began to hit me. "So how did you know I didn't have my money with me?"

He looked up at me again, "I saw you looking through your bag. I was pretty sure you had forgot it when you cursed. I am pretty sure everyone here knew by the way you were acting too."

A blush immediately crept onto my face. "Was I really that obvious?"

The stranger grinned once again, "Yes."

"Well thank you again." I said finally taking a bite out of my bagel.

He replied with a chuckle.

The rest of our meal consisted of us talking back and forth about random stuff. Turns out he used to live here in Beacon Hills and was visiting his sister. He currently lives up north now. When I asked why he moved he didn't really talk about it, I decided he probably had a reason for not saying, so I left it alone. Plus it wasn't like we knew eachother that well so I didn't expect him to tell me his life story.

We had both finished our meals by the time it started getting dark outside. Time had really flown talking to this guy. I even told him what my brother and Stiles had done to me early this morning. Of course he thought it was hilarious.

"Well I better get going." I said sighing. I didn't exactly want to leave. This was the most fun I had had all day.

"Are you walking? I noticed when you walked in you came from the street."

"Yes." I said in a monotone. "Remember my brother and his friend thought it would be funny to lock me in the car I was supposed to be going home in if my friend couldn't take me?" I said shyly.

"If you don't mind, I could take you home?" He questioned, almost seeming concerned with me walking home alone.

For some reason I felt completely comfortable with this guy. If it had been anyone else I wouldn't of even dared catch a ride home with him, let alone have dinner with him.

"Oh, you really don't have to. You already did so much for me. I feel bad enough." I replied scratching the back of my head.

"It really isn't that big of a deal. I don't mind at all." He said standing up.

"Are you sure?" I questioned.

He answered me by grabbing my bag and rolling his eyes.

"Il take that as a yes."

I hurried after him. Just as we both exited the coffee shop he unlocked the car and walked over to the passengers side of the car. I couldn't help the smile that crept on to my face as he opened the door for me. He grined handsomely back at me and shut the door after I had got in. Black leather covered the entire interior of his car. The car definitely matched him.

The car ride was pretty quiet. Not the awkward kind of quiet, a comfortable kind of quiet. His car was really nice. The leather seats were really comfortable and warm underneath me. He must of noticed me pull my jacket closer around my body because he had turned up the heat.

Suddenly I realized, I didn't even know this guys name.

I gave him the last directions to my house and before I knew it, we were sitting outside my house still in his car. It was completely dark outside now.

"Well thank you again..." I said remembering again that I didn't know his name.

"Derek." He said as he reached out to shake my hand.

"Emily. Well everyone calls me Em." I said reaching out to shake his hand. His hands were incredibly warm and inviting. "Well, thank you Derek."

He was quiet as he released my hand. He inhaled sharply looking out his front window.

"You ok?" I asked. He shook his head and looked at me.

"Yeah. I need to get going. It is pretty late and I am suposed to be meeting my sister."

"Ok." Reaching for the door handle I opened it. "I will see you around?"

"Yes." He said weakly. He looked like he was going to be sick or pass out.

"Are you sure you are ok?" I questioned again now becoming a little concerened.

Derek's hands gripped the steering wheel tighter.

I began to think that I had done something wrong. "I'm sorry." I whispered as I closed the door. The window rolled down before I was able to walk away.

"Its not you. I just need to go, my sister. I'm sorry." Derek looked strait into my eyes.

Sighing I smiled at him. He managed to smile back at me.

"Well go!"

"Thank you." He said. "Il see you soon."

He sped around the corner and out of my sight. That was a little weird but I didn't seem to mind. He had his reasons, I guess.

I held my bag against my chest hugging it. 'Il see you soon.' Repeating those words in my head I turned around and walked towards my house.

This day had definitely turned out to be a good day.
