Chapter 18

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Chapter 18:

--Derek's POV:

"Yup." She agreed popping the 'p' at the end.

She stood there next to the kitchen table uncomfortably silent. Taking a wild guess, she had probably just remembered what had happened a few minuets ago.

"Want to go watch TV?" I said trying to break the ice.

"Sure." She sounded relieved that I had finally said something so she didn't have to.

She led me to the living room just across from the kitchen. We both sat down on the same brown leather couch that was in front of the TV. The living room was a much darker room than the kitchen. The walls were painted a dark brown and the whole room was decorated with old lamps and old furnishes.

As soon as she had sat down I noticed her body had tensed up a little. I didn't want her to feel uncomfortable so I took the remote from the table in front of us and turned on the TV. She smiled back at me while rubbing the back of her head nervously.

"Sorry." She said with a sheepish grin.

"Don't be. Just relax." I said laughing at her as her face turned a shade redder.

--Emily's POV:

I could feel my face burning as I sat down watching Derek turn on the TV.

"Sorry." I said while giving him a ridiculous grin.

"Don't be. Just relax." Derek replied laughing at me.

"What's so funny?" I demanded.

"Oh. Nothing." He said shrugging and turning towards the TV.

"Tell me!" I said sitting up in the chair.

Derek just glanced over at me then set his eyes back on the TV. I couldn't help but notice the smile playing on his lips. For some reason I knew he was going to make fun of me about earlier.

"Is it about earlier?" I said waiting for a response.

Again he didn't answer. He just sat there trying not to smile. The TV's images were casting shadows across his face.

"Fine, don't answer me. That was all you earlier anyway." I whispered folding my arms trying to insult him with out him hearing. As I plopped back down in my seat I heard Derek burst in to laughter.

"What?" I said confused.

"Well, I just think what you just said was funny. I don't know what you're talking about. You threw yourself on me."

I sat there in shock. How did he hear me? I was screaming in my head because I was pretty sure my face was looking like a cherry now. All Derek could do was sit there and laugh at me. After a few seconds he started to calm down and stop laughing. I could have sworn I saw a tear in his eyes from his uncontrollable laughing fit. He slowly leaned towards me reaching out his hand. I felt everything slow down as if the world was about to stop turning. I felt his warm finger under neither my chin. He was still smiling as he pushed my jaw up so my mouth wasn't still wide open from the shock. He moved back to his seat and crossed his arms.

"Thanks." I chuckled realizing how stupid I had probably looked staring at him with my mouth wide open.

He had some nerve messing with me like that. I had never seen this side of Derek before. He was acting a lot more relaxed now and I really liked it. I watched him in disbelief as he smiled watching the TV. Damn, he was so handsome.

"A photo would last longer." He said never taking his eyes off the TV.

I quickly looked away from him at the TV.

"Ha. Ha." I said mocking him.

He just chuckled in reply.

"So what are you watching?" I asked finally realizing he hadn't found anything to watch and was just flipping through the channels.

"Not sure yet. Can't find anything." He looked so cute because he was disappointed he hadn't found anything good to watch yet.

"How about a movie." I said getting up and taking the remote from his hand.

"Sounds perfect. I barely watch TV because of this reason. There is never anything on." Derek said folding his arms across his chest while letting out a huge breath of air.

I smiled at his childness then walked over to cabinet underneath the TV where the movies were.

"So what are you in the mode for?" I said while looking at all the movies Scott and I had collected over the years.

"It doesn't matter to me."

Typical guy answer.

"Well there's scary, action, comedy, and chick flick."

"Well go ahead and forget about the chick flick." Derek said chuckling behind me.

"I thought you said it doesn't matter to you what we watch?" I responded with a smirk on my face. It was fun giving Derek a taste of his own medicine.

"True." Derek laughed.

"Hm. Well there is Sherlock Holmes? I haven't seen it. My brother just bought it about a week ago but we haven't watched it yet."

"That's fine with me." Derek agreed.

I quickly put the movie in and ran to the kitchen. As I passed Derek he had a confused look on his face.

A few minuets passed and I returned with popcorn. Derek thanked me as I gave him the bag as I sat down just in time for the opening credits. I scooted closer to Derek so I could reach the popcorn. I didn't mind being closer to him either. We both fell into silence as the movie started.

About halfway through the movie I felt like my eyelids were at least a hundred pounds. It wasn't that the movie was bad or anything. I was just so exhausted. I reached into the popcorn bag that was now in my lap and shoved a few pieces in my mouth hoping it would help me wake up. It didn't work at all. There was nothing that could stop me from drifting off into sleep. Before I could stop myself, I drifted off into dreamland.

--Derek's POV:

The movie was actually turning out to be a really good one. I hadn't seen a movie in a while.

"Can you pass the...?" I stopped in the middle of my sentence as I looked over at Em. She was completely dead asleep next to me. How could she be asleep during this movie? I shook my head at her. She must have been so exhausted.

Her breathing was heavy so I was pretty sure she was dead asleep. Well I guess its time to call it a night. I smiled looking at her sleeping figure. She looked so beautiful.

Getting up out of my seat, I made my way over to her. I carefully removed the bag of half eaten popcorn from her hands and placed it on the table. I gently pushed my left arm underneath her so I could lift her up. My other arm went underneath her legs as I carefully picked her up bridal style, holding her close to me.

I began to make my way over to the stairs that were around the corner. Before I could make it to the first stair she stirred in her sleep. I immediately froze hoping I hadn't woken her up. She turned in my arms a little so she was more against my chest. She buried her head into my shoulder as her hand made its way to the middle of my chest. She then stopped moving. She had fallen back into her deep sleep and I was really grateful for that.

After a minuet or so I finally made it up the stairs, which led to a long hallway. I checked the rooms and figured the room with all the stuffed animals was hers. I made my way through her bedroom door, carful not to hit her head or feet against the doorframe. I reached her bed and began to gently place her down on it. She must of subconsciously realized that she was on her bed because she turned a little and grabbed her pillow. I smiled at her as she made herself comfy. Grabbing the blankets I placed them over her. She smiled in her sleep. I wanted to know more than anything in the world what had just made her smile. She was so beautiful lying there.

It hurt me more than anything knowing that I had to leave. I couldn't stay by her side all night.
