--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I do not own the characters of TV show teen wolf such as Scott, Derek, Allison, Stiles, and so on. I do not own the show teen wolf. I do not own the ideas of the TV show Teen Wolf. (Though I wish I could be such an amazing writer as the writer of Teen Wolf!!!) I do own my characters such as Emily and her friend Stephanie because I created the two girls.

Chapter 10:

It would have been a lot more peaceful out here in the forest if I didn’t have the two boys with me. I had decided to stick around with them for a little while before I went running. I wasn’t going to keep them out of trouble; I went to hear what they had to say about the body. They showed me where they had entered the forest and where Stiles’ father caught him before they had found anything.

“Well I think I’m going to go running. You sure you don’t need help looking for your inhaler?” I asked Scott.

“Yeah I’m sure. Thanks Em.”

Before I could make my way out of sight Scott called after me.

“Hey, we are going to go to the school fields after to practice. I wont be home till late.”

“Sure, sounds good!” I yelled back making my way down the hill.

I sped up my pace down the trail. The trees moving faster and faster besides me as I ran. A branch being crushed underneath my feet caused a sharp noise to echo through the absolutely silent forest. I cursed my self under my breath for forgetting my iPod. It helped drown out all the noise that usually freaking me out.

I couldn’t help but feel like I was being followed. I slowed a little so I could turn around to see who was there but there was no one. Just a beautiful orange and yellow forest around me. Seeing the forest like this calmed me. The sun shot through any hole it could find through the canopy of trees causing the forest floor to light up with bright colors.

Deciding it was nothing; I continued to run, quickening my pace just in case. But before my fears could subside a snapping sound behind me brought me to an abrupt stop.

“OK, someone is defiantly there.” I said under my breath.

Scanning the forest line I saw nothing and the forest was silent for a few more moments just before I heard footsteps coming right towards me. I could feel my body tense up. Who ever it was, was running my way.

Before I could react I saw a girl about my age come around the corner. I had never seen her before. She was a little taller than me. She was wearing pretty much the same workout clothes as me, with her brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. With her iPod in her ears she barely noticed me until she was only a few feet away from me.

“Oh. Hey. You scared me.” She said a little shy while pulling out her headphones.

“Hey. “ I said awkwardly.

We both stood there staring at one another. Gez, this was so awkward but finally she broke the silence.

“Did I scare you?” She said pointing towards my fists, which were clinched.

“To be honest, yes.” I laughed. “I’m not used to other people running out here.”

Things where getting a lot less awkward the more we talked.

“Are you new around here? I haven’t seen you around.”

“Yes, my family and I actually just moved here from up north.”

“Oh. That’s cool. My names Emily.” I said reaching out my hand towards her.

“Allison.” She said with a smile.

We both shook hands and smiled.

“Sorry, my social skill kind of suck.” I laughed.

She laughed back.

“Well you’re not the only one.” She said motioning to herself. “I move so much I have never been able to keep up with friends.”

“Wow, that must be horrible. I have never moved. Iv lived in Beacon Hills my entire life.”

“Well, I guess as long as I have a family with me it isn’t as bad as you think.”

I chuckled, “That’s true.”

We ended up staying there and talking for a long time. She told me she was pretty bummed out about school being canceled for the second day of class. I told her about my brother and Stiles and that she was lucky to have had a first day of class. She thought it was pretty funny I had been stuck in a car but she also thought it was pretty cruel too. The more I talked to Alison the more I became to like her. We were so a like in so many ways. She even told me about this guy she met the first day of school. She seemed pretty interested in him too.

Before I knew it, my phone was buzzing in my pocket.

“Hold on one second. That’s probably my brother.”

“No its fine.” She motioned for me to pick it up.

I walked away from Alison a little bit. I looked at my phone and to my surprise it was,

“Derek?”

“Hm?” Alison questioned.

“Oh, nothing sorry. I’m talking to myself.” I laughed but quickly became serious again as I opened my phone. It was only text.

‘Do you want to meet me at the Coffee House tonight? I need to talk.’

Butterflies quickly erupted in my stomach. Was this a date or something? I quickly responded saying yes. I snapped my phone closed and made my way over to Alison again.

“Call me stupid, but by the look on your face, that was a guy.” She nudged my arm with her elbow. “And you like him.”

That’s when I realized the big smile planted across my face. I felt my face becoming red.

“I guess so. I have never fell for a guy. He is just so handsome and so sweet and caring and…”

Alison cut me off, “And he’s your prince charming.”

“Well not yet exactly.” I laughed, “I have only met him once and I think he just asked me out on a date, but I’m not sure. He said he needs to talk to me about something.”

“Well that could be good and bad.” She smiled.

My phone buzzed again and I quickly picked it out of my pocket to look at it,

‘Il pick you up if that’s ok? 4 o-clock?’

I texted him back, ‘Sounds good. I’m not going to trust my brother and his friend to take me anymore.’

“Well?” Alison asked.

“He is picking me up at four.” I said sheepishly. I was feeling all giddy inside.

Alison laughed, “ Well you better get going! You have only got five hours until he picks you up.” She said the last part sarcastically.

“I guess so. I will see you later then?” I asked with a smile.

“Yes. It was really nice meeting you.”

“You too! Hopefully Il see you at school next time.” I smiled while we both began walking our different ways.

“Of course.” She replied. Her voice was muffled, as she wasn’t facing my direction.

I began making my way through the forest towards where I knew we had entered. I had to admit I was pretty excited about seeing Derek tonight but I was also kind of nervous. What did he need to talk to me about? I reached the edge of the forest.

I would find out soon enough.
