~Chapter 3~

*I DO NOT OWN THE HAIKYUU FRANCHISE*

*I DO OWN THE STORY*

*THERE IS CURSING IN THE CHAPTER*

Oikawas POV:

When I got home it was silent. I figured my parents were out again. They're usually out on trips, my family doesn't have much money even though my dad is a pro volleyball player. He dosent send money to us.

My mom goes on trips to different countries with multiple different charity's. And as much as I'm glad she's helping other people, I still am her son yet she barley sees me.

I miss her so much and the part that pains me the most is that my dad takes advantage of the fact that his wife is never home.

Multiple times he has come home after a big game with a girl somewhere around my age. But despite the fact I know, I still cant find it in myself to tell my mom. I think that somewhere in me I thinks he's going to change, no. I want him to change. I want us to be the same family as we were before my accident.

Before I lost my leg, my family was normal. My dad didn't cheat, my mom was home and we didn't need to worry about having to pay extra with my prosthetics.

My mom says she dosent mind going with charity's to help people, but I do.

After confirming that my parents are both gone, I walk to the kitchen and heat up some instant ramen. Its what I normally have for dinner when my parents are out of town.

After I eat I head to my room. I lay on my bed and as if it was on cue, my phone buzzed.

Iwa-Chan:

hey Oikawa you ok from tonight? sorry if i brought up some old memories you didn't want to remember.

:Oikawa

yes everythings fine, its not your fault

I say. But before I can send the message I pass out.

When I wake up I hear the sounds os crackling and sizzling. I walk out of my room slowly to see my mom in the kitchen making breakfast.

She turns around when she hears me in the hallway and turns off the stove. When she sees me she dosent hesitate to run up to me and squeeze me tight.

"Tooru, I missed you so so so much." She says through tears. It takes me a minute to process everything that happened. But when I realize me mother is home I squeeze her back. "Mom, I missed you to."

I didn't realize it until my mom wiped my tears, but I was crying. I was crying because I missed her so much. I missed the sound of her voice. Her smell. The way she says my name. The way she holds me so tight I think I might die.

She knew about everything that happened. She was the first one I told about how I left everyone behind. She was one of the only ones to understand. The only one who didn't blame me for feeling the way I did.

After it first happened, my father blamed me. He started going out and drinking more. Thats when he started coming home with girls when my mom wasn't home and finding excuses to be away when my mom was home.

It hurt her more than I could ever know, but of corse she never told anyone. She didn't want people to worry about her.

My mom has always been my best friend. My biggest fan. The person I could depend on. So of corse she didn't want me to see her like that. She didn't want me to think she was weak.

When she pulls away from the hug, I see her eyes are glassy and it looks like she's about to cry. And thats when I see why. I look at the door to see my dad in the doorway with a girl about my age.

Tears start spilling from my moms eyes and my dad looks as pale as a ghost. "Y- Yo - You weren't supposed to b- be here..." Then I recognize the girl my dad is with. She's a girl from my school. I walk up to him and slap him. Then I glare at the girl and before they can say anything I yell at them.

"WHY THE HELL DID YOU HAVE TO COME NOW?! MOM JUST GOT BACK AND NOW YOUR HERE TO RUIN IT- AND WITH A GIRL FROM MY SCHOOL?! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU SICK ASSHOLE! GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR HOUSE AND DONT EVER COME BACK! DO YOU HEAR ME?!" My dad seems shocked but then he nods and I look at the girl from my school.

"And you. I don't even wanna hear your excuse. He's almost twice your age, yet you wanna do it with him?! You know he's a married man, right? Did you ever think about how you could hurt me and my mom? Huh, did you?" I look at her and my vision blurs. And then tears start falling from my face.

The girl opens her mouth but before she can say anything I slam the door in her face and lock it. And just to be safe I drag the couch so its in front of the door.

Then I look back at my mom to see her on her knees sobbing. I run to her and pull her into my embrace.

"Shh, shh. Its ok mom. I got them out of here. They won't be coming back." I say, and to my mom  I am comforting her. But really its for me to.

We sit there for 30 or more minutes before I get ready for school. When I come out of my room I see my mom asleep on the couch. I pull a blanket on her and walk out the back door and start heading to school.

On my way I see a person sleeping under a lamp post. Quickly I run over to them and am shocked to see who it is...

Iwaizumi.

I debate weather or not to wake him up and decide against it. So instead I take off my jacket and put it over him, take out my bento box and put it by him with a little note attached to it saying:

For Iwaizumi

Sorry I just couldn't let you starve. Hope you like it <3

Then I get on his phone and share his location to his parents. After that I hurry off and go to class. But before I go to class I stop in the principles office. Really my uncles office.

When he sees me he welcomes me in with a smile. "Hi Tooru, need something or do you just want to talk to your uncle?" I caught a bit at his remark and then sit. "I just wanted to tell you that Iwaizumi Hajime will be late today or completely skip his classes." He looks at me with a confused look on him face, but he simply says "Ok thanks Tooru, I'm glad your getting back in touch with your friends." I smile and walk to class.

While I'm walking I hear people behind me. At first I don't pay any attention to it, but when I use the bathroom and see them waiting for me when I come out, it starts to bother me.

So I turn around to face the group of all girls (my old fan-girls I'm assuming.) And look at the one in the front straight in the eyes. I smile my waiter smile and try to sound normal.

"Can I help you?" I say in a mocking tone. They look at each other and then one of them points to my leg. My heart almost skips a beat. They know. But how can they know. Not unless Iwa-Chan told anyone. But he wouldnt.

Thats when it hits me. The girl that my dad brought home. Her. Damn her.

"Ah yes, I'm guessing your friend told you?" The girls nod and then one of them catches me eye. I walk to her and put my hand out for a handshake.

"Hi, I'm Oikawa Tooru. And you are?" She puts out her hand and in a small voice she says "I'm Taw Yin (OC)." I look at her hand that I'm shaking.

"So how did it happen, if you don't mind me asking?" She looks shocked to say the least and then says "H- How did you know?" I smile a bit to myself and then say "Its the best kind of prosthetic there is. How could I not know?"

She blushes a bit -I wonder why?- and then says "I got into a car crash. It was really bad." I give her a sad expression. "That sucks. But if I can say one thing, its welcome to the club."

After that I walk off and head to class. As I walk away I hear the girls talking to each other.

"OMG Taw-San, your so lucky!"

"Yeah Taw-San, so so so lucky!"

"He held YOUR hand, OIKAWA held YOUR hand!!" I smile. Normally you would expect high school girls to be jealous or mad, but instead they were praising her. It makes me feel wonderful and happy to know that not all high school girls live up to the stereotypes.

It somehow made my day a little bit better, so thank you girls. Thank you Taw Yin.

A/n: Hey guys! Sorry it took me so long to write chapter 3, but I think it was worth the wait. Sorry if it was a bit sloppy, I just finished watching Attack On Titan: No Regrets, so I'm a little mentally damaged. If you guys have seen it you will understand why. But anyways hope you enjoy and thanks for waiting!
