Keefe

Keefe shifted his weight uncomfortably as he stood in Mr. Forkle's office. After an embarrassing reunion, Mr. Forkle had insisted they get to work right away.

So now, Keefe found himself standing in a room full of people he'd never thought he'd see again. Biana stood beside him, looking just as nervous. While Fitz glared at him from the opposite side of the circular table. Dex also seemed to ignore Keefe. While, he caught the others constantly sneaking glances at him. As if he were an alien.

"Sophie was last seen in New York." Mr. Forkle explained, "So, I think it's best to start there."

"But," Biana said, "Don't you think they'd want to be far away from the place they'd taken her?" Half the room nodded in agreement. Not Fitz. He was too busy scowling at Keefe.

"True," Mr. Forkle argued, "But, it's our only lead. As, all the Neverseen's bases that we knew of, were destroyed. And with no idea as to where they could be right now, our best chances lay with New York." Biana closed her mouth. And everyone else seemed to agree, as well.

"Anyway," Mr. Forkle continued, "Dex, I'd like it if you could hook us up to the security cameras in New York City and other cities within this range," he said, pointing to the table that had been scribbled on with notes. Dex nodded.

"I'm sending Squall, Blur, and Granite to investigate in person. I'll tell them after this." Everyone nodded their heads, obediently.

"What about us?" Marella asked, flipping her braids over her shoulder.

"Well, as to Miss Vacker's wishes," Mr. Forkle paused to gesture to Biana, "Keefe, Biana, and Fitz," Fitz growled at the sound of his own name paired with Keefe's, "will all be working on their own investigation as they try to communicate with Sophie."

Linh raised a confused eyebrow as she asked, "How does that involve us?"

"You guys, will be there if they need anything." Bangs Boy, who had been lurking in the corner, groaned.

"Great," he spat, "We get to be the extras." Mr. Forkle had no response, as if admitting it.

"Well," he said, instead, "Disperse. Dex, follow me to the tech room." And with that, Keefe, Fitz, Biana, and the rest of the group, Tam, Linh, Marella, and Stina were the only ones in the room.
