Darth Branwen is A Monster!

Reaction to the memorable scenes from Star Wars: Rogue One

The Cast

Darth Vader-Qrow Branwen

Director Krenic-Arthur Watts

Rebels in hallway-Roman Torchwick's/Junior's men/White Fang soldiers.

The Audience that were in the first viewing, were rattled to the core. "So, we're watching where Ruby's uncle is a bad guy?" Velvet asked, a bit timid. Remembering the descriptions from the students that told the newcomers.

"He isn't a bad guy," Ruby denied. "He was Salem's slave in that world." Huh, figured that out just by watching Shards of the Past, G-Fan thought.  Took Revenge of the Sith for me to realize that.

"This is like," the Boy stops and does some mental calculations, "Twenty-two years after our first viewing."

G-Fan-The Empire has ruled the galaxy with an iron fist and has completed building the weapon that can destroy any trace of rebellion. You'll watch the following events.

The Boy tossed the Qrow Orb into the screen and the lights dim. The Audience grew apprehensive. One because of Darth Vader. Two because Qrow was a villian, something some of them aren't used to. Some grew curious at the mention of a weapon.

The screen lights up to show the Audience the fiery surface of the Mustafar planet. Some thought it was pretty. Then they saw an Imperial shuttle fly over the lava rivers until it reached the landing platform of a large black castle.

Inside the castle a elderly man enters a chamber with four Imperial Red Guards and a large bacta tank. The man kneels down and says, "My Lord, Director Watts is here." Inside the tank, the Audience see the form of a person. And then they all hear, "Khooohh-Pruuhh."

Some of the younger Audience gulped nervously. A very few were looking forward to see the Sith Lord. Watts perked up at the mention of his name. Cinder scowled and rolled her eyes. Well, eye.

Slowly the bacta tank begins to drain and the Audience have a brief glimpse of pale and burnt skin and see that the person in the tank had no limbs and wore a breathing mask. The scene changes to show Director Arthur Watts standing alone in another room. He wore white Imperial clothes with a large white cape on his shoulders.

A loud thud was heard and a large door opens up. The Audience see a dark figure standing in the steam as an all-too-familiar shadow was casted on the wall behind Watts covering him in the darkness. (Sun-Okay, I'll be honest. That looks cool.)

The figure walks through the steam until Watts onscreen and the Audience now get a clear look at him as the shadow on the wall shrinks to normal size.

Darth Vader walks off the bridge and onto the platform Watts was on. "Director Watts." the Sith Lord greeted. Watts swallowed nervously. "Lord Vader." he greeted back.

Vader eyes him as he walks to the edge of the platform. "You seem unsettled," he noted as he looked out the window to watch some lava boil.

"No," Watts said, slightly shaking his head. "Just...pressed for time. There is great many things to attend to."

"My apologies," Vader said, though the Audience could tell by his tone that he wasn't sorry. Not. One. Bit. He turns away from the window, "You do have a great many things to explain."

"I delivered the weapon the Empress requested," Watts replied, getting the attention of the Audience. "I deserve an audience to make sure she understands its remarkable-" he stops himself once Darth Vader stepped closer to him. His mask may have been emotionless and expressionless, but it felt like the mask was daring him to rant. "...potential." he finished.

"Its powers to create problems has certainly been confirmed," the Sith Lord replies harshly, getting the doctor offscreen to become confused. "A city destroyed and an Imperial facility openly attacked." he listed as he walked around Watts.

Watts-It was Governor Gele who suggested the test.

All but Whitley frowned at the mention of Jacques. Ilia's scales turned red, Ghira and Kali scowled, Adam and Sun snorted, Blake and Sienna's ears flattened against their heads. Velvet just slightly narrowed her eyes.

Vader-You were not summoned here to grovel, Director Watts.

"I-" Watts begins but is interrupted with the Sith stating, "There is no Death Star. The Senate has been informed that Oniyuri was destroyed in a mining disaster."

"Yes, Lord Vader." Director Watts bowed his head.

Darth Vader-I expect you not to rest until you can assure the Empress that Marcus Black has not compromised the weapon in any way.

The Sith Lord walks to around to the bridge as Watts turns around asks, "So...I'm still in command?"

Vader stopped abruptly.

Most of the Audience grew tense. "He overstepped there," Coco said. Cinder leaned forward, wondering what the Sith will do to her rival. Watts was hoping his other wouldn't be killed.

"You'll speak to the Empress about-" before the Watts onscreen could finish, the Audience heard something rising up and Watts stopped in mid-sentence. He tugged on his collar, feeling like steel fingers had grabbed his throat in an iron grip.

It became too much for him and he fell to his knees, gasping for air like a fish out of water and on dry land, trying to tug on the invisible fingers desperately.

Darth Vader turns around and says, "Careful not to choke on your aspirations, Director."

The Audience see his right hand raised and his forefinger and thumb were raised like they were holding an object.

He drops his hand as he continued walking. Watts now felt the invisible fingers release their grip on his throat and he was able to breath.

"Yikes," Neon said with a shiver. She wasn't the only one intimidated with Vader. And his dark joke only seemed to have made Salem and Tyrian laugh. And Neo and the Boy. Watts rubbed his throat nervously.  Cinder smiled and said, "I like this Darth Vader."

"Do not push your luck with Darth Vader," G-Fan  said seriously. Many of the Audience nodded.

The scene changed to show the planet Scarif. The Rebel Alliance had attacked the Imperial Outpost to receive plans of the Empire's superweapon called the Death Star. The battle was fierce until the Empire sent the Death Star itself and destroyed the outpost.

The Empire was too late, the Rebels transmitted the plans to one of their cruisers. Before the Rebels jumped into hyperspace, Darth Vader's Star Destroyer appeared.

"Uh oh," many said. While they didn't know much about the Rebel Alliance but they knew they were rebelling against Salem's Empire. Some hoped the plans of the "Death Star" would be out the bad guys' hands. If it could destroy a city, then the Rebels needed it away from the Empire.

Onscreen, Darth Vader stood in the bridge of the Star Destroyer, watching the Imperial fleet disarm the Rebel flagship ship. Under the mask, his eyes narrowed. He felt a presence similar to her. A presence to Leona.

An officer walks up and says, "The Rebel flagship has been disabled my Lord, but has received transmissions from the surface."

He narrowed his eyes. Then they have transmitted the plans there, he thought before he ordered, "Prepare a boarding part." He exits the bridge. I will lead it myself.

Inside the Rebel flagship, Rebel soldiers ran to escape into another ship. A small group stood near a computer as the Death Star plans downloaded onto a disc.

One of them grabbed the disc and said, "Hurry! We got to go now!" the other Rebels followed him a hallway door. A man pressed the button to open it. The door slid before stopping six inches.

Many blinked in confusion. They could understand that the ship was disabled but none of them could understand the door jamming like that. Raven had a feeling that it wasn't a technical malfunction.

One of them tried to push the door as another called out for any of his comrades. "Hey! Hey! Help!"

The Rebel soldiers pounded on the door that jammed in front of them. A loud noise was heard and the rebels turned to the dark end of the hallway.

It was eerily silent until a coarse sound was heard.

"Khooohh-Pruuhh."

Kssshh!!

Darth Vader's lightsaber ignited, revealing his presence to the Rebels and the Audience, his lightsaber lighting up the hallway in a low red glow.

"I have a feeling those guys are dead." Adam said. No one mad an argument.

"I gotta admit that looks cool," Nora said sheepishly. The Good side agreed with her, even if they didn't like it. "That's the difference between the good side and the bad side Pinky," Roman said. "We make it look good." (1)

Fear-No terror was very visible on the Rebels' faces. Even as one of them shouted, "Open fire!" The Rebels held their blasters up and fired upon Lord Vader.

The Sith Lord calmly strode forward, swing and twisting his saber casually. Deflecting the blaster bolts to the walls around him. Then he deflected two bolts back to their own shooters.

"He's not even trying," Velvet said in horror. Everyone else was silent. Now they can see why Darth Vader was the most dangerous swordsman in the galaxy. Now the Bad Side wanted Qrow on their side more than ever. He may not have the same power as Darth Vader, but Salem knew he could have the skills.

One of the Rebels pounded harder on the door. "HELP US!" The terror in the man's eyes made the Good Side powerless. Darth Vader deflected two bolts before he grabbed one of the Rebels and slammed into the roof.

At the door another Rebel  was on the other side, "It's jammed," the one inside said as they both tried to pull the door open.

Lord Vader swung his lightsaber backwards and sliced the Rebel's torso in half before he held his palm out to Force Deflect a blaster bolt with his hand back to its shooter.

Everyone was stumped at the feat, even Tyrian was silent. The Boy was playing the Imperial March on a violin.

With a gesture in his hand, Darth Vader Force Pulled the blasters and started to cut the Rebels down like Jason Vahoores in a summer camp. The second to the last tried to pick a blaster up but the Sith Lord Force Choked him until his neck snapped and he tossed him aside.

Realizing that he wasn't going to escape from the Empress's second in command, the last Rebel held out the disc. "Here, here," he said urgently. "TAKE IT! TAKE IT!" The other Rebel grabbed the disc just as Darth Vader plunged his lightsaber through the man and through the door before he let go of the door with the Force.

As the other Rebel ran, his comrades fired at the Dark Lord. By the time Lord Vader was done with the Rebels, he walked through the door and saw that the Rebel that got away had entered another cruiser which was now flying away. His anger burned, he wanted to reach the ship with the Force but he stopped.

He felt it again. The presence that reminded him of Leona. The screen went black with the Imperial March and Vader's mechanical breathing was heard.

END

Soooooooo... whatcha think of that?

Honestly these were my favorite scenes from Rogue One. If the movie was meant for Fan service, it was good fan service. Disney only made one Star Wars movie.

The title fits right? Darth Vader is a monster when it comes to fighting. Rogue One proves it.

1) It's a bit from Men In Black. "You know the difference between me and you? I make this look good."

Next time...

One more thing...

LONG LIVE LORD DARTH VADER!

In Arnold's words, "I'll be back."

May the Force be with you.
