Chapter 6: crib or bed?

Rose p.o.v

Before we could go shopping I needed some clean clothes on. Daddy carried me to the room I slept in and put me down on the bed. He told me that the maid, Stella, had brought some of her clothes that I could wear because all of Daddy's clothes were too big for me.

After I was done with changing in the clean clothes he made two pigtails in my hair. I really felt happy. It was a long time ago that someone did my hair, or took care of me as Derek did. I think this was the happiest I have been in my entire life.

Once I sat in my car seat at the back of the car I thought of our talk this morning. I had my doubts about the whole situation. But then again I felt safe with this man, how strange it maybe sounds. I didn't know a thing about the ddlg/clg lifestyle but it sounded really nice and just what I wanted. Especially because I haven't been looking after for a long time.

From a young age, I had to grow up. I had to learn to clean and cook at the age of eight and I never really could live as a normal child could. This offer from Derek gave me a chance to live like a child again. To gain some time I missed from my own childhood. Also when I slipped into my headspace I forgot everything about my haunting past. And this time I didn't need to be careful anymore.

I remembered how I would sit in my room at my old home playing with my only stuffie, Belle, that I was always careful that my father wouldn't walk in and caught me in the act. I was always so afraid he would see me like that and that wasn't the only reason I was afraid of my own father.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when Daddy ask me something, "Baby girl, are you okay?" I looked through the mirror, looking in his warm brown eyes, and said, "I'm fine Daddy! I am so excited to go shopping!" Daddy chuckled.

"Oke, oke, baby girl, but remember inside voices," he said while looking back in my eyes when he had to stop for traffic lights.

"Sorry, Daddy," I said while looking down in my lap again. Maybe I was a bit too much.

"It's okay sweetheart, I understand why you are so excited there is nothing wrong with that. In fact, I'm really happy you look forward to our little trip." Daddy said with a smile to make me feel better and it did. I smiled back and looked outside the window up to the sky. A swarm of birds flew by. It looked very pretty.

The car came to a halt in a parking garage. I looked around a bit confused. I thought Daddy said we were going to shop, so why are we at a parking garage. There are no shops here. Well, I trusted Daddy and would see it for myself where we were. Daddy walked around the car to get to me and opened the door.

"Well, look who we have here, a beautiful princess," Daddy said and I giggled. He was so funny and silly. He unbuckled me and helped me out of the car.

"Now, remember the rules, baby girl."

"Always hold Daddy's hand outside of the house?" I asked because I didn't know for sure if he only wanted to hear that rule or more.

"Yes indeed, so hold on tight, oke?"

I nodded my head but I saw soon the 'words, little girl, I need words' look on Daddy's face. "Yes, Daddy."

"Good girl, now follow me." I hold Daddy's hand tight and followed him through the garage to the stairs. We walked them up and then went through a door. When we stepped through it I saw all kinds of shops around me and within a second it clicked for me where we were.

I tucked at Daddy's hand and looked with fear in my eyes. "Daddy, this is a mall," I whispered. Tears started to form in my eyes. Daddy tried to calm me down and lowered his body to meet my eye.

"Sssh, ssh, it's oke. This isn't the same mall where I found you close to. And, and if a big man comes up to us I am there to protect you oke? I will protect you, sweetheart," he said while cupping my face and wiping the few tears away that left my eyes.

"Promise?"

"I pinky promise," Daddy said while holding his pinky out. I linked my pinky with him and hold his hand again. He led the way through the mall and I saw that the first store we went to was the toy store. A small smile formed on my face and the excitement came back. We walked both in and we went to the section with all the stuffies. I looked in awe because I had never so many stuffies in one place together.

"You can pick out three to take home with you," Daddy said while I looked at him in disbelief.

"Three? Are you sure Daddy? Three is a lot."

Daddy chuckled, "Yes sweetie, you can pick out three to your liking and I'm pretty sure about that." Again I looked at him in disbelief then I looked at all the stuffies. I really had no idea which one I wanted. After a couple of minutes, I had found three stuffies I really liked. One of them was a reindeer, the other a stormcloud and a koala named Koya.

I didn't know yet which one was going to be my favorite but for now, I liked all of them. When Daddy asked if I was sure he walked up front so he could pay for the stuffies. I was so happy. I couldn't wait to go home and play with them. Then after the toy store, we went to some clothing stores to pick up some other supplies for me as Daddy put it.

After a lot of walking and trying on some clothes, we finally got to go home. I was really tired by then. Even though I had lived on the street for a while, I never walked that much.

Daddy noticed that I became tired so he cut the shopping trip and went to the parking garage. Daddy had asked if I wanted to be carried but there were a lot of bags so I politely declined his offer, even though it was very tempting. He had buckled me up and had put the bags in the trunk except for the one with the stuffies. That one he had put beside me so I could choose which one I wanted in my arms during the ride.

I had chosen the reindeer to play with during the car ride to our home. Yes our home, I really liked that idea. While I was playing with her I started to feel sleepy. Just when I wanted to close my eyes Daddy had opened my door to get me out.

"Looks like somebody needs her nap, hmm?" Daddy tilted me out of the car and placed me on his hip. He stroked some hair out of my face and headed to the front door. I had placed my head on his chest with Aurora, the reindeer stuffie, close in my arms.

"Do you want to sleep in a bed or do you want to try out the crib?"

"Crib? Do you have a crib, Daddy?" I asked when he walked me upstairs.

Daddy laughed, "Yes dear I have a crib at home, do you want to see it so you can decide?"

I nodded my head and Daddy walked to a different room where I haven't been in yet. When we walked in, the room looked like a nursery. It was very pretty, I really like the soft pink color.

"So, do you want to sleep in here, baby girl?" Daddy patted my head making me even more sleepy. I just nodded my head because I wanted to sleep and the crib looked really comfortable.

I felt Daddy placing me down and as soon as I touch the mattress I fell in a deep, deep slumber.

The shopping trip went well and I was proud of my little girl, my little Rose. She had hold my hand the whole time and listened really well to me. I never had a little that was so well behaved on shopping trips.

After two and a half hours of shopping, I noticed that her walking became slow and that she didn't react quickly anymore. She was tired and I didn't blame her. I know how exhausting shopping could be but I really wanted to get as much as possible because she had really nothing.

All my other littles had some stuff with them when they came living with me but her. She had nothing so I wanted at least some basic stuff for that she could call her own. So I had bought paci's, sippy cups, bottles, diapers, pull-ups, and clothes.

When we came home I wanted to suggest for her to take a nap but she was already half asleep when I opened the car door. I was glad she wasn't fully asleep so I could ask her about her sleeping situation: crib or bed. I was really happy when she wanted to sleep in the crib. She looked so adorable laying in it. I took her pants and socks off her and tucked her in.

Then I took the other two stuffies with me upstairs and put them beside her. There was only one thing missing. I walked back to the bags and took something out. I cleaned it, just to be safe, and walked into Rose's room.

First I took one moment to adore her and then popped the baby pink paci in her mouth. Now she looked complete. I caressed her cheek and left the room with only a night lamp on.

While Rose was sleeping I unpacked the bags, thinking I couldn't wait for our lives together to begin.
