It was the next morning and Hawks was already awake making breakfast while you slept like the dead, you were completely drained because of your recovery. You may be wondering why a certain birdman is at your house making breakfast. Well, Hawks had stayed the night, sleeping in your spare/ guest room, because he was tasked to take care of you until the afternoon by a certain fiery man, no not Dabi but Endeavor. Which explains why he was up and making breakfast at your place.

Finishing up cooking breakfast, Hawks recalled his abrupt wake up call when he was peacefully sleeping the other day on your couch, so with a smirk on his face he walked over to your room. Literally bursting into your room he grabbed the pillow that had fallen onto the floor and threw it at you, "RISE AND SHINE, SUNSHINE!! TIME FOR BREAKFAST!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

You groaned groggily and to no ones surprise you didn't get up, well, you slightly did just to grab the pillow that was next to you and place it over your head. Seeing your stubbornness Hawks had to step up his game in order to wake you up.

Within an instance, Hawks feathers surrounded you and began tickling you. You became a laughing fit, wheezing, snorting, begging for mercy and your wings fluttering vigorous knocking everything off your bed as you were being tickled.

"Stopppppp! I'm going to *wheeze* pee" you said between fits of laughter and wheezing, "okay! o-*wheeze*-kay! Merc-*wheeze*-yyy! I'm up! *snort* I'm up!"

Finally giving up Hawks stopped his feathers, you sat up, an angry pout on your face, your cheeks were red, your hair was a mess and your wings were puffed out. You glared at Hawks who was standing at your door hunched over laughing.

He took a deep breath calming himself only to burst out laughing again seeing your messy bed head, "you're *pftt* finally awake" he snickered as he walked over towards you while retrieving all of his feathers back to his back. "Come on, time for breakfast sleepy head" he said as he patted your head.

You swatted his hand away and groaned tiredly as you slid yourself to the edge of the bed. You yawned, stretched your arms in the air then grabbed a couple of feathers and placed them by your side before you began unwrapping your bandage on your leg which made Hawks eye you curiously, "what are you doing" he asked as you continued to unwrapping your bandages

"These-" you used your thumb, pointing to your wings, "are back so I'm going to heal this before I get up" you said as you placed the feathers over your wound and healed it. The wound that was once there was now gone, all that was left was just the dried blood which you cleaned off soon after.

After healing your wound, you and Hawks headed towards your kitchen, ate the breakfast he made and got ready to head out to the placed you asked if he wanted to go with you. The place you planned on going to was one of the many skyscrapers with a beautiful over look, the one you were planning on going to was the one you always went to to just relax and get away from things. Plus, there's an added bonus thing there you've come to love.

"I'll be outside" Hawks called out as you were still in your room looking for a set of keys you were going to need. Finally finding the keys you headed out towards your balcony only for Hawks to be no where in sights. So you called out to him, "Hawks?" You scrunched your brows in confusion, 'where the hell did that birdbrain go?' You questioned as you looked around.

Just as you were about to fly up you heard, "eeeeEeeeeE" a random bird like screech in the distance and without warning two arms looped through yours and you were scooped up from your spot. "WHAT THE FUCK!?!" You yelled as you were being carried mid air, you looked up to see who was carrying you and low and behold it was none other than Hawks who was smiling cheekily at you.

"YOU DID NOT JUST FUCKEN 'eeEeeEee'" you tried mimicking Hawks screech, "AND SCOOP ME UP LIKE I WAS YOUR PREY" you yelled angrily as you glared up at him.

He gave you a fake offended look, "you just cursed at me in hawks" he said faking a hurt tone. You stared at him deadpan, "you're joking righ- never mind just let me go"

Hawks released you and you fell slightly before you sprawled out your wings and glided along with the wind that blew. As he released you he couldn't help but stare in admiration at your beautiful wings and the way you glided ever so elegantly as you spread them out and flew slightly ahead of him, "come on, or else you're going to get lost" you called out to him as you flew on slightly ahead. To him you looked like an angel, a goddess, in all honesty just plain beautiful and elegant. 'Her smile is gorgeous... everything about her is just beautifu- Holy shit, I think I'm falling for her hard and she's not even trying to get my attention' he thought as he saw you turn around and gave him a big cheeky smile before doing a little loop in the air.

You were seriously enjoying yourself, doing little spins, loops and dips as you flew, not giving a single damn about anything at that moment. Though you occasionally flew around with your wings out, today felt different, different in a great way. You couldn't tell why, maybe it was because your wings were finally back, maybe because you were flying with another person and weren't alone, maybe because you didn't have to be stealthy with your wings as you flew, who knows.

As you were enjoying yourself as you flew, Hawks literally couldn't keep his eyes off of you, he was lost in his own thoughts as he watched you do little loops and spins with a smile on your face, watching you do so brought a little smile on his face. This was the first time he flew with another person, he didn't feel restricted, he felt free, he felt happy flying with you.

Hawks slowed down at one point and really just admired you, you turned around and noticed that Hawk was falling behind, lost in his thought and staring at you so you slowed down. "Hawks, if you keep daydreaming you're going to crash into a building and I'll have to scrape you up and carry you home" you called out jokingly with a smile, snapping Hawks out of his thoughts and making him blush a little from the fact that you caught him staring.

He chuckled hiding his flusteredness, "I should be the one saying that, you're the one who's doing spins and loops, what if you crashed into a building?" He asked playfully.

You rolled your eyes, "hey" you called out as you flew over towards him, he raised his brows in response. "How about a race? If I lose I'll buy you what ever food you want, if I win you have to buy me (favorite food)" You suggested and Hawks quirked a brow at you before his signature cocky smile was plastered on his face, "bring it on, little dove"

You smirked, "okay, you see that building over there?" You asked as you pointed to one of the taller buildings which was the one you planned on taking Hawks to, he nodded. "First one to the roof of that building wins, got it?"

He nodded, "any rules?" He asked, your smirk turned into a slightly mischievous smile, "anything goes, we start on the count of three, alright?" "Alright, begin the count down"

You began counting down, "3..." both of you set your eyes on the building, "2..." you both extended your wings out "1..." reaching one Hawks turned to you with a big grin and boosted himself ahead of you, "not so fast Hawks" you yelled from behind him as you sent out a couple of feathers that held him back and you flew ahead of him. He smirk as your feathers held him back, 'So that's how it's going to be, two can play that game' he thought.

You were smiling smugly to yourself thinking that you had gotten Hawks as you flew on ahead but within an instance you were pulled down by your legs. Looking down you saw Hawks feathers, you shot your head back up to see Hawks with a smug smile flying ahead of you, "think again little dove" he called out.

You groaned a little and got yourself free from his grasp. Hawks was nearing the building and flying upwards when a plan came to mind. Since you were use to 'flying' or levitating with minimal feathers, you sent out half of your feathers above Hawks and pushed him down as he flew. The bet was, first to make it to the roof, so if he can't fly up he can't beat you.

You finally caught up with your half sized wings and gave him a salute with your pointer and middle finger and flew on ahead of him as he was being dragged down the side of the building by your feathers.

You had a victorious smile just as you were about to reach the top, but suddenly a red fuzzy thing whizzed by, it was Hawks with his shit eating grin as he landed at the top just a few seconds before you, "I win!" He exclaimed.

Your jaw dropped, you were literally an inch from the ground and Hawks beat you to it. "Lucky bastard" you muttered under your breath. Hawks smirked, "I heard that" you rolled you eyes as you landed and motioned him to follow you.

He eyed you curiously as he followed you to a door on the top the the building, "you're not breaking into the building, are you? If you are, I'll have to arrest you" He said jokingly. You rolled your eyes as you turned around and held up a set of keys before turning around again and unlocking the door that was in front of you.

Opening the door, you revealed a snack bar storage that was filled to the brim with your typical everyday snacks and drinks to unique snacks and drinks you could only get abroad. Hawks jaw dropped and his eyes widened, you turned to face him with a sly smile, he looked like a kid overwhelmed in a candy store which made you chuckle. "You're drooling" you said teasingly as you helped close his mouth.

"What the hell is this?" He asked curiously and excitedly as he looked around the room eyeing all the goodies. You shrugged a little smugly, "my own little snack bar provided by the owner of the building" he turned to you, "that's too good to be true" he said as he squinted his eyes. "How?" He asked to which you replied "Luck? Haha" as you shrugged jokingly making Hawks roll his eyes at you.

"There was a building collapse and I ended up saving the owner of this buildings and his daughter life. After they recovered they saw me up here frequently since I enjoyed the view from here and they surprised me as a thank you with this. At first I was shocked and didn't want to accept but they kept insisting so I gave in..." you turned to hawks " and now that's why you're here" you said enthusiastically, as you smiled up at him and grabbed a few snacks before you walked towards the door.

"Take whatever you like, I'm going out to the ledge first" you said as you walked out towards the ledge of the building with snacks in hand and sat down dangling your legs over the ledge. Not long after Hawks came out towards the ledge with a bunch of snacks in hand, "this is insane" he said while munching on some sweets. You chuckled, "tell me about it, I can give you a spare key to the storage if you want" Hawks ears perked up at that statement, "hell yea" he responded before eyeing you skeptically.

"Wait, you aren't just trying to bribe me into doing something are you?" He asked as he sat down besides you placing all the snacks he grabbed to the side of him. You stared at him deadpan and rolled your eyes, "you really think I would bribe you?" you asked, Hawks nodded playfully making you roll your eyes at him again, "I have that storage all to myself, no one can come up here unless they fly or they have special access from inside, so if you don't want my offer I'll just keep all those goodies to my self" you teased, playfully shrugging. "*exaggerated gasp* you wouldn't" Hawks said putting his hand on his chest pretending to be hurt by your words.

You laughed, "here catch" you tossed him the spare key, "for you looking after me and giving me food. Plus, for being an okay guy" you said, teasing him. "*gasp* I'll take that as a complement, but you didn't need to" Hawks said while wiping a fake tear. "Don't get ahead of yourself" you punched Hawks arm lightly making him chuckled.

There was a nice silence between the two of you as you sat on the ledge eating your snacks and enjoying the view of the city until hawks broke the silence, "Its a nice view up here" he said, his eyes glistening ever so slightly with the sunlight as he turned to look at you, you nodded, "that's why I like this spot" you responded with a slight smile as you looked over the horizon of the city scape. "Hey Hawks" you called out as you turned to face him.

"I'll make you a deal" you said in a semi serious but calm tone, "What is it?" he responded as he quirked a brow. "I only know so much about you, but I'm willing to tell you about my past, as long as you tell me about yours. I can see it, you're always putting on a fake façade whenever you're in public"

His expression falls a little, "I don't think its a good idea for you to get involved with my past" he says in a serious but sorrowful tone looking down the side of the building. "Oh, please I'm the 'number 3 hero' I can deal with it" you said semi jokingly, semi seriously, he looked up to face you "you don't know what I've been through, you might be put in danger, I don't want to lose you" he said, slightly muttering the last part, his voice was stern but sad.

You were someone that he's come to realize in such a short time that he cherishes very much. You made him feel human, you made him feel cared for and comforted, though you are stubborn and constantly denies him, you still let him stay by your side in the end and you care for him (slightly tsundere-esk). To be honest, he was growing on you too, just being around with him and his birdbrain antics were somewhat comforting and warming.

"Try me" you said in a more serious tone, "you don't unde-" *crunch* you purposely crunched on some chip loudly making him stop. He began again, "seriously, you could be put in even more dang-" *crunch**crunch* you did it again, this time as he talked.

(Todoroki? But with chips?)

He was getting a little irritated you could see it on his face, you knew you were annoying him and you were slightly enjoying it. "Seriously" he exclaimed as he snatched the chips from you, you pouted slightly, "I'm being serious, you could be in even more danger aside fro-" *crunch* you had another bag of chips, "where did you eve- ugh" he groans. "Alright, I'll stop" you said with a slight innocent smile as you placed the bag down, "What I was saying is, you could be in a lot of danger aside from your regular everyday danger you face as a hero" he says in a serious tone as he faces you and looks into your (e/c) eyes, his eyes filled with concern and sorrow. He wants to tell you but if he did, he doesn't know what might happen to you or who might come after you and what not.

You sighed as you turned your gaze away from him and outwards towards the city, a soft but slightly sadden look on your face, "Public Safety Commission" you said bluntly as you propped your hands behind you and leaned back, tilting your head upwards towards the sky. Hawks brows furrowed in concern and confusion at your random statement, "what?"

Turning your head from the sky you looked at Hawks directly in his golden eyes, a faint smile apparent on your face, a smile that had pain written beneath it, "you're not the only one who's been through shit with them..." your voice soft but filled with remorse. So many things began running though hawks mind but the one question that lingered was, how did you know?

This chapters a little longer than normal but since you guys said you enjoyed/ liked longer chapters I left it as it and will be doing that with later chapters I write. Thank you guys for your feed back on that~
