~Present time~

It was late in the evening and almost time for Hawks to be done with his patrol for the night. He was sitting on the top of a building, with his legs hanging off the ledge overlooking the city, looking for whatever crime or trouble to come up.

"Lets just get this night over with, I'm ready to knock out" Hawks said to himself while leaning over the edge of the building.

A couple of minutes went by and Hawks was still sitting on the ledge of the building expecting the rest of his patrol to be as boring as it always is, when unexpectedly something caught his eye. In the corner of his eye he spotted a form that looked like a person with wings gliding through the cityscape at a fast speed narrowly but carefully avoiding each and every building in their way.

'Why does this seem familiar' Hawks thought to himself when he decided to go after whatever it was that just flew by, since there was only 10 minutes left before he was off of his patrol.

While chasing after whatever it was that flew by he got close enough to see that it was a girl with (h/l) (h/c) hair and large white wings, but only to lose sight of her when she narrowly turned a corner and suddenly disappeared.

'Shit, I was so close to them... who was that though? I've never seen anyone around with wings...' Hawks internally cursed to himself as he flew back to his original spot he was sitting at earlier.

'Fuck, Mirkos going to be upset with me.. ' you mentally cursed to yourslef as you flew as fast as you could to your meeting spot with Mirko.

You and Mirko, the now 6th ranked hero (let's just say since your the 3rd ranked hero all original heros just moved one spot down), had planned to have a nice dinner with each other just to relax from all of the tension going around involving the recent events of the nomus. Plus, you weren't one that enjoys being in the limelight so you wanted to relax before the announcement of the Hero Billboard charts.

You landed on the top of the restaurant you and Mirko frequently went to and tucked in your wings as you quickly ran into the restaurant.

"Someones 30 minutes late" you heard Mirko call out to you when you were running in. "Ah, sorry some villan decided it was a good time to go streaking in the middle of the city. Leading me and some officers to go on a wild goose chase since he had a duplicating quirk" you said while pinching the bridge of your nose.

"So, did you like what you saw back there then?" Mirko jokingly said to you. "I've seen better but he did have some nice abs" you jokingly responded back to her, making her chuckle a bit.

"So, you ready for the announcement in a few days?" Mirko asked as you were getting seated at the table. "Ughh don't get me started on that stuff, you know how much I hate these events, but I gotta go" you said, while the waiter brought out the food Mirko had already ordered for you both.

"Ooh, (f/f) and (f/d), you remembered" you jokingly said to Mirko while wiping a fake tear away from your eye as you started digging into your food. "Nah I just guessed" she jokingly responded back to you while digging into her food. "I'm wounded, we've know each other for how long now? 7 years?" you jokingly said while grabbing your chest pretending you were in pain. "But *munch* in all seriousness, I really *munch* needed this, I've had a long day"

It had only been an hour since the two of you were there enjoying your meal when all of a sudden there was a loud explosion a couple of blocks from where you both were.

"There goes our peaceful night" you and Mirko both say in unison as the two of you got up and ran up to the rooftop to see what was going on. From what you both could see there was 4 nomus on the loose a couple of streets down.

With your wings still tucked and hidden away, you quickly scooped Mirko off the ground and quickly levitated to where the action was. Dropping Mirko off on the street to deal with 2 of 4 nomus, you went to go take down the other 2 nomus which were targeting some civilians.

You successfully knocked 1 nomu out and pinned the other to the concrete with the feathers your sent out.

Once you had those two down you quickly went to aid Mirko, but as fate may have it there was 3 more nomus appearing behind you. You internally groaned to yourself as you sent out feathers to deal with 2 of the nomus while you fought head one on with the other.

Quickly you were able to knockout the one you fought head on but as you were getting off the back of the nomu you just fought, one of the two nomus you were dealing with, with your feathers escaped the grasp of your feather and was now charging towards you.

You got in stance to take the impact of the nomu that was charging towards you but that never came. Because out of no where there were red feathers pinning that nomu to the wall in front of you.

Turning around you saw your "savior" or what you would like to just call, your support that came a little late, Hawks, with his signature smirk plastered on his face to which you just rolled your eyes to.

You didn't know Hawks well or talk to him much though you two patrolled relatively close areas. A couple of run ins here and there with villan fights but majority of the time you were gone by the time they were resolved or you were busy scrambling around dealing with those who were injured.

Finally securing the 3 nomus with the help of Hawks, you looked behind you to see that Mirko had restrained the 2 nomus she was fighting but she had blood on her white blouse she wore, showing a couple of cuts and bruises on her body.

Seeing that, you sent a couple of feathers at her slightly pinning her to the bench she was next to, knowing how stubborn she was you knew she was going to move around with those wounds. "You better sit your ass down, you aren't going to move a muscle until I heal those wounds so you stop bleeding!" You stubbornly yell while running towards her.

Once you were next to her, you grabbed the feathers pinning her down and placed them over her wounds each time a glow appearing and healing the wound. Unbeknownst to you Hawks was watching in awe while helping escort the nomus into the patrol vehicles.

Luckily enough no one around was injured besides yourself and Mirko with minor injuries. Once you were done, Hawks and the officers around have already cleared the area along with the nomus so all there was left was just quick report about what happened.

After giving a quick run down to Detective Tsukauchi, you turned around to find Mirko, only to be met with Hawks.

"Someone looks a little ruff" Hawks teasingly said while eyeing you up and down. You were a mess, hair all over the place, ripped clothing, blood on your body, sweat coming down your face. "Well, were you expecting someone who just fought 5 nomus to look like they just came off the runway?" You responded tiredly, while walking towards Mirko in the distance.

After that fight you just wanted to go home and sleep, the pain from your wounds and Mirkos were now getting to you. Once everything was settled you and Mirko said your goodbyes and headed home.

You decided to walk home due to the fact that you were tired from the use of your quirk and you didn't want anyone to see your wings. Plus, your house wasn't far off. While walking out of nowhere there was a slight weight on your shoulder. You turned around to see Hawks following you and he had put his jacket on you.

"You shouldn't be walking after all of that, let me help you get back to your house" Hawks said while hovering besides you. You were too tired to argue, you just shrugged, "sure why not. I'm on the top floor of that building over there, so if its not a bother could you fly me to my balcony? I may or may knock out, if I do just place me on my couch, the balcony door should be unlocked. Thanks Hawks" Giving him a little smile you leaned onto him as the adrenaline started to go away and exhaustion catching up to you.

Hawks nodded and picked you up bridal style and flew towards your balcony, though it was a short flight you knocked out and snuggled into his jacket and leaned against him.

'Cute' Hawks thought as he saw you snuggled up in his jacket when he landed at your balcony. Walking in he carefully placed you on your couch and pulled the blanket on the couch to cover you.

Hawks sat on the other couch watching your sleeping form to see if you had any discomfort but you were sleeping peacefully.

'This place is roomy and somewhat comforting' Hawks thought to himself while looking around the house from where he sat. Something about you drew him to you and peaked his interest.

After a couple of minutes, Hawks was at your balcony about to head out but then turned around deciding to stay just incase anything was to happen.

He stayed up for a couple of hours checking on you to make sure you weren't in pain while also occasionally admiring your beauty before he ended up knocking out on the other couch besides you.
