no need to get violent

"Hold her head!"

"Dad, I- i want to go home"

"No, no, no! Not my daughter!"

Gasping her eyes open taking in the air before her, feeling her chest move at a rapid pace. Nothing has been the same not like it was before, it's been a week since Amiryat woke up from her coma and the nightmares didn't stop, sometimes she would wake up to the pain on her chest constantly reminding her what was the cause of that scar.

No one had known about the nightmare constantly taunting her in the middle of her sleep, Neteyam had woken up a few time feeling his older sister twitching in her sleep, so he did the thing he knew would help, he hugged her to his chest, rubbing her back and arm and he didn't sleep until she was asleep.

Amiryat slowly sat up reaching with shaky hands to her chest, glazing her petty fingers over the wound, she found herself doing that even the smallest noises made her flinch and she absolutely hated it, it made her feel weak and like a baby, something she didn't enjoy, her parents worried for her, Norm hadn't informed them about the terror of their daughter having disturbing nightmares.

Amriyat begged the human not to say a word to either of them, though the man hesitated for a moment but he understood where she was coming from, so he didn't say anything. The ritual Ronal did on her worked, she didn't feel any pain in her arm or chest, though her ritual didn't keep the nightmares away.

The second she got up from the hammock she quietly stepped out the home down the ledge sinking her feet into the water, staring down at the glowing fishes swimming around her feet, Jake grumbled rolling over in his hammock, slowly opening his eyes until they widen at the empty side beside Neteyam.

He jerked his head up, heart racing until he caught the flap to their home moving, he knew about the nightmares and he wanted to help but she completely shuts him out, denying that she wasn't having any, it worried him that she wanted to go through it all alone, he gently removed Neytiri' head from his chest and he climb out the hammock before he stepped outside the home.

"Babygirl?" Jake soft voice made her look up from the puddle of fishes, of course she wanted his help she will always want her family's help but she never knew how to approach them. Jake came closer slumming down by her sinking his feet by hers. "Was it a nightmare?" She didn't answer. "You know you can come to me whenever, even if it's in the middle of the night, it doesn't matter,"

Jake paused sighing. "Babygirl, you can come to me, okay? You gotta talk to me baby, it's okay to be scared I understand that." Jake says wishing he could read her mind and know what she was thinking. Amiryat exhaled picking at her fingers. She moved closer to her father and he instantly wrapped his arms around her.

"I can't.. it's hard to talk about it." She told him, feeling the anxiety creeping up on her, "i remember feeling so scared to die, i wasn't ready to die dad." Jake closed his eyes when her voice trembled, arms tightening around her small frame. "Then I did die, and— and I was so scared, scared that I didn't get to say sorry for what I say to you."

Amiryat sniff pulling back from her fathers chest. "I'm sorry, dad for what I said, I didn't mean it, I was angry and I took it out on you." Jake shook his head taking her face into his hands, forcing their eyes to meet. "Don't apologize, that's in the past now. Nothing you can say or do can ever make me mad, just understand that I'm here, I see you, I see you."

Amiryat pressed her trembling lips together, she never heard those words ever from her father and it sparked something in her. "I see you, dad." Jake wiped the fallen tear pressing their heads together, "I won't let you go through something like that again, I promise."

Amiryat nods inching to feel his warmth, Jake held the back of her neck letting her head rest on his shoulder. "Thank you for opening up to me, never be scared to talk to me."

physical therapy was not Amiryat's friend, Norm had suggest it and her mother was the one who helped her out, each night before they went to sleep, Neytiri would bring out a special pasty oil and she and her daughter would sit outside the home and start their exercise.

"Have you talked to him?"

Amiryat knew she was referring to, and truth be told she did want to talk with Ao'nung more then anything, she craved to see him but it's only been a couple of days and still needed time to heal, though that wasn't an excuse to not see him.

She shook her head mumbling a "no". Kiri frowns tilting her head stopping her movements from Spider's hair, Amiryat sat across from them around the glowing fire pit. "Why? You know he's been asking for you."

Spider glanced at the older Sully then down to her shoulder, Amiryat didn't want to were the sling anymore since it was unnecessary for her to need, but she did have a cloth wrapped across her chest. It was dragged up from her left shoulder down to her right hip.

"I dunno." Amiryat exhaled continuously wrapping the cooked fish in thick leaves, "I just.. I hate how I look, I look different and I don't want him to think—I'm ugly." She admits quietly but they both heard it, Kiri heart clenched crawling away from Spider to her sister.

"You are not a ugly." Kiri whispered pushed her hair back, forcing her face up away from her hands. "You are a strong warrior, someone who survived and would live to tell it to her children someday." Amiryat smiled blushing, Spider smiled at the pair.

"Now, go talk to Ao'nung." Kiri says with Amiryat bringing her legs to her chest. "That poor boy has been missing for days." Amiryat sighs with a nod turning back to the fire. "Just after I finish this."

Kiri groans taking the leaves from her grasp giving her a soft shove. "I'll do this, you go." Amiryat blinked at the nudge nearly falling to the side.

"Okay, no need to get violent," Amiryat muttered moving away from her, Kiri glared hearing her words. "Spider be careful she can be very aggressive when it comes to getting her way."

Amiryat teased as she stood up grabbing her shawl off her hammock before moving towards the entrance, Spider smiles sitting back on his knees. "Don't worry, I will." The human boy played along earning a scoff from Kiri.

Amiryat found Ao'nung by the rock where they first shared their first encounter, she remembered the day like it was yesterday though, they looked much younger, and definitely didn't looked like they went through a war like they did a few weeks ago

Her bare feet lightly stepped on the sand, feeling the water washed up the shore, she smiled at the sight before her. Ao'nung was knees deep in the ocean with his hands chasing around the floating shells in the water.

"Need some help?"

Ao'nung turned right around at her voice, he couldn't barely remember when was the last time he heard her voice, Slowly stepping out the water letting the shells he handled slip down onto the sand, soon being forgotten.

"ma yawne."

His voice came out whispering, afraid that if he spoke louder she would disappear, his feet lead him to her, launching his arms around her frame, inhaling her sweet smell holding the back of her head, Amiryat smiled nuzzling her face into his neck, feeling his heartbeat against her own. "ma Ao'nung" she whispers into his neck with a gentle kiss.

His hands trailed up to her face when he pulled back, stroking his thumb across her cheek, Amriyat nuzzled into his palm, closing her eyes, forgetting how small her face felt in his hands. Ao'nung pressed a kiss to her forehead letting his lips linger for a moment.

"I've miss you." Amiryat whispers wrapping a hand around his wrist, Ao'nung smiled down leaning forward to let their foreheads touch, the moment was beautiful, the wind in thier hair, which made Amiryat realize that he didn't have his hair in a bun like he usually did, she liked his hair down.

"How are you feeling? Do you need to sit? Come come!" Amiryat chuckled lightly as he lead them over to a rock and sat her down before he crouch infront of her, his hands still holding hers.

"Ao'nung, I'm okay." She tells him squeezing his hands, "I just wait to apologize for not seeing you sooner and for ignoring you," she paused shaking her head. "It was uncalled for and so unfair to you, you have been nothing but sweet— giving me my time to... heal."

Ao'nung shook his head wearing a gentle smile. "It's okay, nothing to be sorry for ma yawne. You weren't ready I understand that, even though it pain me not to see you." Amiryat frowns closing her eyes with a sigh. Ao'nung lifted her head letting their eyes meet.

"It's okay now, Neteyam told me how you were doing day by day." Ao'nung reassured her, rubbing her knees when his eyes trailed down to her chest, he couldn't see the wound since she had it covered with a shawl her mother made her wear, the whether was changing and it was getting colder especially since they now lived on an island.

Amiryat signs lowly bringing the shawl down away from his peering eyes. Ao'nung took her hand and kissed. "You don't have to hide from me, there's nothing to be ashamed of, you are beautiful to me, ma amiryat."

She pressed her lips together shyly avoiding his dark lustful ocean eyes, tearing her eyes down to his hands, Ao'nung smirks at the light purpleness on her cheeks, soon that smirk faded with a smile, bringing her hands up to his mouth planting kisses to her fingers.

"Ao'nung... I love you." Amiryat utters softly, she knows those three little words didn't mean so much to him but he did love her, he saw within her, he saw something her family didn't even see. The teen boy smiles moving to sit by her, bringing a hand up to caresses her face.

"I love you ma yawne."

with those three words leaving his mouth Amiryat leaned forward kissing his lips once, then twice then three times, each one soft and barely there as she looked right at him and his reactions the whole time. Ao'nung chased after her lips with his own when she pulled away, his hands trailed up to hold her face and kissed her face.

He didn't want to let go, her warmth consumed him even her just breathing was enough for him not to let her go again, He smiled into the kiss when she began to giggle which only made he pull back. "What? What's funny." He cocked his head.

Amiryat turned her head locking eyes with a very awkward smiling Tuk, Ao'nung followed her glaze realizing that it was her little sister who caught them and not her father, god, he didn't know what he have done if it was Jake.

"Mom, wants you back for dinner." Tuk says with a teasing grin, Amiryat signs knowing her sister was going to use that against her. "Ao'nung mom said you are more than welcome to come." She teased the word 'more' giggling she skipped away from them.

Amiryat watched the young na'vi skip away from them before she stood up offering Ao'nung her hand. "I guess it's time to meet the family, officially." She says gently gripping his hand.

"I can handle it." Ao'nung says confidently, taking her hand with his right hand as his other hand wrapped around her shoulder, she smiled hopping his was right. "But... your mom does scare me." He admits shyly, Amiryat laugh throwing her head back. "don't tell her I said that!"
