Chapter XXIX

Just as Izuku had said, he went to go talk with his father about the situation, after Todoroki wishing him the best of luck once the two had finally hung up the phone with each other.

On the way, Izuku was having to mentally preparing himself for what shit show this would surely turn out to be. Though at the same time he felt a little relief that he would be telling his father.

Seeing as he had been hiding this from him, and having to cancel on their meet ups seeing as he knew that Keigo would be able to tell something was wrong the minute he saw him.

So, when he landed on the oh so familiar balcony, he felt both a sense of nostalgia and a sense of overwhelming anxiety. After getting inside he was met by the smell of his father's Katsudon.

"Hey there hatchling! Haven't seen you in a few weeks, everything okay?" Hawks asked as Izuku walked into the kitchen silently. Not at all surprised that his father could sense his presence.

"Everything has been okay dad. A little busy with being assigned the whole gang case. But we made a break in it a few weeks ago." Izuku said as he sat down at the counter while Keigo brought over the Katsudon and sat down next to his son.

"Hey that's great hatchling! Everything go good with it? No injuries?" Keigo asked as he and Izuku began to eat.

"No, no injures though Kirishima got hit by the man's quirk, we still don't know what it truly did but they should be done with processing by now, so we just have to wait for the police to call us and have us come and interrogate him." Izuku explained while Keigo only nodded.

"I see, but what did happen when Kirishima was hit by that quirk?"

"He.... He was got a bit aggressive, and a little loopy, but other than that he was okay." Izuku stated quietly and Keigo immediately picked up on the hesitation in his sons words, though saying nothing as he hummed in understanding.

"So did you need to ask me anything?" Keigo asked having a feeling that Izuku's statement could lead to a question and hopefully for him it would lead to getting an answer for his sons jumpiness.

"W-Well I was wondering; how exactly do you get a mate mark removed?" Izuku asked quietly as he tried to shrink into his jacket. Only for Keigo to spit out his drink as he coughed violently at the question. Before his head snapped to his son while his eyes were as wide as saucers.

"What?!?! Why in the name of the gods do you need to know that?!?" Keigo shouted while Izuku only placed his hand over top of his mark that was cover by his jacket and looked away from his father shamefully.

Keigo immediately went silent as he saw where Izuku's hand was placed and what his body language was expressing, and he paled at the realization.

"I-Izuku... What happened?" Keigo asked hesitantly, not truly sure him he wanted to hear the story, though none the less he placed his hand on his sons shoulder and got the boy to look at him.

"I-It really was an accident and h-he didn't mean to I promise, it was just-."

"He? Izuku who's he, I need the entire story."

"K-Kirishima." As Izuku muttered out the Alpha's name Keigo could only pale further as he held back the growl in his throat, while he pulled Izuku into a hug and led him to the couch, disregarding their empty plates that sat on the counter.

"Izuku please, tell me." Keigo coaxed gently while Izuku only leaned into his father further.

"When he got hit by the quirk it caused him to act strangely, he wouldn't let go of me and I had to take him back to his house, though once we actually got there.... T-That happened. B-But I actually let him. I-I didn't even try to fight him and I don't know why!" Izuku shouted quietly as he hugged Keigo, not truly wanting to see the look on his father's face.

While Keigo had to hold back on his anger, wanting to hear the full story before deciding on how he felt on one of his sons closest friends.

"O-Okay, why didn't you fight him?"

"I-I don't know... I-It's like my body wouldn't let me. And the only time I was able to fight against him was when I was able to remind myself that he wasn't in the right state of mind, and that it wasn't actually him. Though it still happened. And then we both fell asleep; well, I guess I actually passed out once he actually marked me." Izuku explained while Keigo's eyes went wide at the end of the statement.

"Did he do anything else to you?! Did you check!? Have you gone to a doctor at least?!" Keigo asked frantically, horrified that his assumption was correct.

"No! Kirishima didn't do anything else, and I did check, though I didn't go to a doctor yet. I wanted to talk to you first." Izuku explained as Keigo sigh out in relief.

"Thank the gods, but how did Kirishima react to all of this when you both woke up?" Keigo asked while Izuku looked away from his father.

"H-He doesn't know. He has no memories of what happened aside from me taking him home and his fight with the villain. He doesn't know that we're technically mates." Izuku explained while Keigo was left in utter shock

"He doesn't know?! How long has it been since he marked you?!" Keigo asked while Izuku could only sigh

"It's been about a month and a half. That's why I haven't come to visit all that often lately." Izuku explained while Keigo groaned quietly.

"Do you plan to tell him?" Keigo asked quietly while Izuku only shook his head.

"No, if he or anyone else finds out and word gets out, it could destroy his career because the media would make it seem like he's the villain. Besides he didn't know that he did it and it was a quirk controlling him to. There's no sense in telling him if I'll be able to get it removed." Izuku explained quietly while Keigo only looked at his son sympathetically

"Izuku, you can get it removed, but the procedure for it is incredibly painful, especially for an Omega. And you need to talk to him, when your mated you grow a bond with that person, whether you want to or not. He'd feel a side effect of the procedure and you could possibly experience a drop. It's painful for both people." Keigo explained while Izuku nodded.

"Does it normally hurt the one getting it more so than the other? Or is it equal?"

"It's definitely far more painful for the one getting it, not to mention the pain is nowhere near as bad for Alpha's as it is for anyone else. Though Omega's feel it the worst. For an Alpha it's just like having a bad stomach bug for a day or two. But for an Omega, it's like experiencing the worst drop and heat you'll ever have at the same time for at the very least 4 days." Keigo explained, as he shuddered from just the mere mention of the amount of pain an Omega goes through, his heart clenching in his chest at the idea of Izuku going through such pain.

Izuku only nodded, not truly caring about the pain he would likely go through if he were to get the procedure, only caring that Kirishima would only feel sick for a day or so, and then he would be back to normal.

"What kind of doctor would I have to see for it to get done? And is there a certain clinic I should visit so that way the media doesn't find out?" Izuku asked completely disregarding his father's warning of pain, while Keigo stared at Izuku wide eyed.

"Izuku please, I can understand where you're coming from with this, but you can't make a decision like this without thinking about yourself. You don't know how this could affect you for the rest of your life if you went through with this. Most Omega's who get a mate mark removal are never the same again. I don't want to see you in such pain." Keigo pleaded while Izuku only stared up at his father misty eyed.

"It's okay dad, besides I won't let Kirishima be stripped away of ever having a chance with anyone else, especially if he finds his soulmate. It wouldn't be right" Izuku reassured while Keigo could only look at his son with pride and sadness.

"You've always put others before yourself Izuku, for that I could never be prouder of you. But at the same time, I hate to imagine what will happen to you." Keigo stated as he hugged Izuku tightly while placing his head on top of Izuku's.

"I'll be okay dad I promise. I just needed you to know, it felt wrong hiding this from you." Izuku stated while he latched onto his father tightly in return.

"I'm happy that you did, I'll let you know when I find an actual good doctor, until then please don't do anything about it alright? And possibly talk to Kirishima." Keigo pleaded while Izuku only nodded.

After a few hours of the two just talking and relaxing together it had eventually gotten late and Keigo needed to go back out on patrol. Once Izuku had left his father's he quickly soared back to his apartment and got himself cleaned up.

Though his peaceful silence was interrupted by his phone ringing, only for Izuku to see Kirishima's contact pop up on the screen. Izuku answered the phone only to pale at the blunt and somewhat harsh statement that came through the phone.

*Izuku come to my house now. We need to talk*
