It had been a slow day at the agency for Izuku, nothing more than a few petty criminals and he couldn't help but think of the promise he had made to Kirishima about coming by to visit his new puppy.

And quite honestly the idea of visiting a new and most likely even cuter in person puppy was much more appealing than standing on a building in the cold waiting for some dumb teenager to try and steal an old woman's purse.

So, he decided to call Kirishima.

"Hey Kirishima! Is this a bad time?"

*Course not Izuku! Everything alright? *

"Yeah, everything is fine, my patrol is really boring today, and I was hoping it would be okay if I came by later to meet Titan?" Izuku asked gingerly hoping that he wouldn't sound weird asking, even though he knew that Kirishima was the one who offered in the first place and that the man had been one of his closest friends since 1st year.

*Hey man of course! Come by whenever you want! You know I don't mind; I have patrol here in a little bit, but I'll be free by 6:00, is that good for you? *

"Yeah of course I'll text you when I'm on my way"

*Sounds good man, see you later* Kirishima stated as he hung up the phone while Denki looked at his friend with a smug knowing look.

"Oi what's that look for bro?" Kirishima asked as he set his phone down on the table. He, Bakugo, Mina, Sero, Denki were seated at in the restaurant that they occasionally met up at for lunch.

"Oh yeah Izuku come by anytime! Hell live with me please! You know I won't mind!" Denki mocked while the other three merely laughed.

"Shut up bro, Izuku just wanted to come by and meet Titan, I invited him to come over one day after we left the bar last weekend."

"Oh~ After you left, the bar together? You sure you didn't invite him to come do anything else?" Mina purred suggestively while the other boys howled with laughter.

"The gods have forsaken me" Kirishima muttered as his face turned red and he raked his hands through his hair that was now held up in a spikey ponytail, immediately knowing what Mina meant by "anything else"

"No Mina! I wouldn't do that. I'd-."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah we know Kiri. You would court him first and make sure that he was completely comfortable and onboard before doing anything like that." Mina interrupted while Kirishima merely grumbled.

"Dude you know most people don't court anymore, right? I mean if you like Izuku so much just go ask him to be your boyfriend! No reason to go through so much hassle" Denki stated while Kirishima only shook his head.

"No, I don't want Izuku as some temporary fling, and I want him to know I'm serious. Besides remember back in high school he said he wanted to meet his soulmate first before doing anything with anyone else." Kirishima stated while slumping in his chair.

"Shitty hair you know things could have changed since then. He said that in 2nd year when his soulmate mark showed up, it's been 7 years since then" Bakugo chimed in while Kirishima glared at his friend slightly.

"Easy for you to say, you found out Kami was your soulmate almost immediately. And I don't want to hear either of you say shit about courting, I know you did it too bro" Kirishima stated while Denki blushed slightly.

"Dude maybe just talk to him about it, maybe his soulmate is a platonic one, you never know." Sero chimed in while Kirishima only groaned.

"That's the thing I don't want his soulmate to be platonic"

"What?!?" All four shouted in unison, none of them understanding why on Earth Kirishima wouldn't want Izuku's soulmate to be platonic if he like him.

"I don't know! Okay, but whenever I get the idea that Izuku's soulmate is platonic I get a really sick feeling in my gut. I don't like the idea of his soulmate being platonic." Kirishima explained while the four looked to each other still just as confused as before.

"Don't worry about it man, you never know." Sero tried to comfort while Kirishima only sighed.

"Well, I'm getting back to patrol, I'll see you guys later." Kirishima said as he paid for his lunch and left.

After Izuku's patrol was done and he had finished up on all of his paperwork, the boy went back to his apartment and got cleaned up. Though once getting out of the shower he realized it was 6:00 and he was late.

(Oh shit!!) Izuku thought to himself as he quickly changed and flew off to Kirishima's house. Thankfully arriving only 20 minutes late, only for Izuku to cringe slightly as he realized his hair most likely looked insane due to it still being slightly wet, not to mention what the wind already did to it.

None the less Izuku knocked on the door, quickly making his wings vanish, as a sweaty Kirishima answered.

"Hey! Izuku, good timing I just finished my work out. Come on in" Kirishima said as he let the shorter male inside where a very enthusiastic, black Great Dane puppy came running towards him.

The puppy immediately jumped onto Izuku while Kirishima quickly closed the door in order to keep the pup inside, as Izuku knelt down onto the ground and allowed the dog to sniff and lick him

"Titan! Down!" Kirishima commanded only for the pup to roll onto his back in front of Izuku, requesting belly rubs that Izuku happily gave.

"Sorry about him, I have to wait until he's 6 months before I can send him to puppy training school." Kirishima apologize while Izuku only laughed as the puppy once again jumped onto his lap and began to lick him.

"Its fine Kiri! Besides who could ever be mad at something this adorable! I mean look at this face!" Izuku said as he squished the dogs face gently, only for the pup to jump away playfully as he ran off in search of one of his many toys.

"That's true, I can hardly ever get onto him about anything." Kirishima said with a chuckle as he pulled Izuku off of the ground. Only to take notice of Izuku's appearance, and he'd be lying if he said that Izuku looked even cuter with his hair completely down, and slightly messy.

Izuku stayed for a little while enjoying playing with Titan quite a bit, though Kirishima quickly made some dinner for the both of them despite Izuku protesting that it wasn't necessary.

Though once all was said and done Kirishima finally worked himself up the nerve to ask Izuku about his questions.

"Hey Izuku you remember how back in 2nd year you said you didn't really want to do anything with anyone before you met your soulmate?" Kirishima asked quickly while Izuku looked at the other male questioningly.

"Yeah, I remember, why do you ask?"

"Well, I just wanted to know if you still are holding to that, or if you changed your mind. Just curious is all." Kirishima stated while Izuku only smiled in return.

"I am, I don't know how to explain it but, I've loved my soulmate ever since the second I saw my soulmate mark. And I'm not sure if they want something romantic or not but I know I need to meet them first before I could be with anyone else. There's just a familiar feeling to them that I can't describe, though I do hope that they want something romantic too." Izuku explained as he looked down to the now sleepy puppy in his lap with a small, gentle smile gracing his lips.

And while Kirishima couldn't help the pounding of his heart at Izuku's words, he also couldn't help the pain that hit him like a train. It hurt to hear how much Izuku loved this other person, yet at the same exact time Kirishima couldn't help but feel a sort of pride and love when Izuku had said those words. To say the least Kirishima was horribly confused, and he hated it.

Once Izuku had headed home Kirishima quickly got to cleaning up the dishes and putting Titan in his own doggy bed. Though the small tasks only distracted Kirishima for a moment as he finally allowed himself to truly process Izuku's words.

And he knew.

He was screwed.
