Chapter XX

Izuku had woken up during the middle of the night, his head was foggy, and he ached practically everywhere. Though he immediately paled when he remembered what had happened as he tried to summon his wings, he hadn't truly lost his quirk completely.

Though he didn't dare try and heal the rest of his wounds, knowing that he would most likely cause himself to pass out once again.

Only to be taken out of his thoughts as he heard a few nurses yelling in the hallway at what he thought was Mirio.

Izuku being ever curious quickly detached himself from the IV he was strapped to and grabbed the surgical mask on the bedside table, after putting the mask on he flew out of the room after who he realized was Mirio. As the nurses only continued to yell at the two to stop.

"T-Togata! W-Wh-What's happening?!" Izuku asked as he flew next to Mirio, though immediately noticing the boy's struggle in walking, he quickly used his feathers to pick up the boy and have him fly alongside him.

"T-Takami! We have to get to Sir's room!" Mirio shouted as he attempted to plant his feet back on the ground, as Izuku allowed his feathers to place the boy back on the ground, though his feathers still pushing the boy along as they took some of the weight off of Mirio's feet.

"W-Where?" Izuku asked as he continued to fly.

"Room 209! Takami, they said he's dying" Mirio said though his tone turning dark at the end.

Izuku immediately paled at the statement as he once again allowed his instincts to take control as he had his feathers once again pick Mirio up while he began to soar quickly to Nighteye's room with Mirio soaring next to him just as fast.

Once they had made it to Nighteye's room Izuku allowed Mirio and himself to return to the ground while they both pushed through the other Pro Hero's to get to the man

Though Izuku's legs shook weakly the second he finally stood still and Mirio grabbed onto him as he held the boy lean against Sir Nighteye's bed as Sir Nighteye merely smiled to the two.

"Sir! You can't die you have to live!!" Mirio shouted as he and Izuku both began to cry desperately.

"You b-both.... You both m-must smile i-if you don't have j-joy th-then you w-will not h-have anything t-to defeat th-the sorrow." Nighteye struggled as Mirio only yelled quietly as his tears began to flow even faster.

"Mirio...." Nighteye said as he touched the boy's face gently

"You w-will be an e-excellent hero, th-this is a f-future that should n-not be changed." Nighteye said quietly while Mirio merely cried harder

"A-Allmight.... Y-You made the r-right choice"

"Izuku..." Sir Nighteye started as he grabbed Izuku's hand and squeezed it gently, while Izuku could only stare in horror as tears continued to cascade down his face.

"Y-Your father w-would b-be proud...." Nighteye whispered as the heart rate monitor let out the deafening shriek that, he was gone.

As everyone only bowed their heads and began to cry even harder, Izuku merely leaned closer to Sir Nighteye and placed his hand over the older man's heart.

"Problem child-." Aizawa started, though immediately getting cut off as the air around them changed drastically and Mirio gasped as he looked to Izuku and Nighteye.

Izuku's eye had practically turned completely white as his wings seemed to encase himself and Nighteye as the man's body emitted a goldish hue.

And as everyone stared in complete shock, the sound of the heart rate monitor alerting them of Nighteye's returning heartbeat broke them out of their daze.

Though as Nighteye's wound healed tremendously, Izuku's wings vanished along with the goldish hue that had one surrounded Nighteye, and the now ever present beating of Nighteye's heart being picked up by the monitor.

Though as everyone looked to Izuku the boy's legs gave out on him as he fell to the floor, only for Aizawa to quickly catch him before his head to hit the ground.

"H-He... H-He's alive... Takami... H-He saved him..." Toshinori Yagi/Allmight, 49-years-old, Alpha, Occupation: Pro Hero/Teacher, Mate: unknown. Allmight muttered as he looked to the now unconscious boy Aizawa was cradling, while Mirio immediately knelt down to check on Izuku.

"I-Is he okay?" Mirio asked hesitantly, he still didn't know if everything was just a dream right now, or if he was really awake and Izuku had truly saved Sir Nighteye.

"He'll be okay, he's overused his quirk and his own body. He needs to rest, as do you Togata." Aizawa stated as he picked Izuku up and nodded for Mirio to follow him as the nurses waited outside of the room as Aizawa led Miro back to his room along with carrying Izuku back to his own.

"You truly are a problem child." Aizawa muttered fondly as he gently laid Izuku down, only for the nurses to thank him and get back to work with hooking Izuku up to the IV and monitors.

After a few days Izuku once again awoke, though this time around noon instead of the dead of night. Izuku's mind was foggy, and his body ached sorely, though he decided against laying back down in favor of trying to stand.

Only for his legs to shake violently at the newfound pressure as an aching numbness overtook them, Izuku groaned quietly to himself as he grabbed the railing around his hospital bed and his IV stand in order to help himself gain some form of balance.

After about five minutes of gaining the feeling back in his waist down Izuku walked over to the door still dragging the IV behind him as he then saw his clothes on one of the chairs next to his bag that held his masks.

After Izuku changed, put on his mask, and detached the IV from his arm once again he then opened his door and began to walk down the hallways of the hospital, his bag in hand.

"Woah! Takami!" Mirio shouted as he raced down the hallway to catch up with the boy.

"What are you doing out of bed? And out of your room? When did you wake up?" Mirio asked as he gently held the younger boys shoulder in order to keep him from continuing his walking.

"I-I just woke up, I really didn't want to stay in bed, or the room. I don't like hospitals." Izuku explained as Mirio merely nodded.

"I get it, I got cooped up here too. I was actually here to pick up Eri. We're going to the School Festival, I wanted her to have some fun. But now that your awake you can come too! I'll call Aizawa to convince him!" Mirio said excitedly as Izuku's eyes widened at the mention of the little girl.

"Eri! That's right! Is she okay? What about Nighteye?! We saw him but I don't remember everything, it's all blurry." Izuku asked as Mirio only looked to the boy shocked. Though a small smile soon graced his face as he once again placed his hand on the boy's shoulder and gave a gentle squeeze.

"You saved him Takami. When we went to see him.... H-He had died, though only for a second. I don't know what happened, but you touched him, and you brought him back, you healed him. Right now, he's in a coma though the doctors are positive that he'll wake up." Mirio said as he gently hugged the boy, only for Izuku to wince slightly.

"Oh jeez! I'm sorry Takami! I forgot you got shot a lot back at the raid, are you okay? Are you sure you should be walking?" Mirio said as he quickly let go of the boy as Izuku raised his shirt and inspected the many bandages he was wrapped in.

"I-I don't know how I missed those. But yes, I'm fine, my quirk most likely healed a good amount of them while I was out, and I have a really high pain tolerance." Izuku explained as Mirio only nodded though his face then turning stern and serious, catching Izuku off guard.

"I can only imagine. I mean considering the back full of scars you have, not to mention the ones on your arms." Mirio stated sternly, though concern leaking out through his words as Izuku's eyes widened.

Izuku then looked down away from the stern glare of the older male. "I-I'm guessing you want an explanation?" Izuku asked shyly as Mirio only nodded.

"Not just me. Aizawa wants one too. We tried asking your aunt, but she said that it was only for you to tell." Mirio explained as Izuku merely nodded. Though quietly wishing his aunt would have just told them and rip that bandage off.

"O-Okay, call Aizawa I'll tell you both together." Izuku explained as Mirio slightly motioned for the boy to follow him as he called Aizawa.

After Aizawa was called the nurses eventually found Izuku in Eri's room and pulled the boy into one of the examination rooms to make sure nothing was out of place, not before scolding him about him detaching his IV for the second time and scaring half of the staff, for once again the second time.

Once Aizawa had gotten to the hospital, and Izuku apologize multiple times to the staff, Aizawa and Mirio had met Izuku in the examination room that the doctor had pulled him into.

"Problem child, your aunt said that she is okay with you going to the festival, so as long as you are home by tomorrow so she and your other aunt can check up on you." Aizawa explained as Izuku nodded.

"Okay, I talked to them too for a bit." Izuku said as Aizawa took a seat in front of him while Mirio joined the teacher.

"Now I want answers now. Why is it when I called your father to alert him of what had happened to you, not only did he not pick up, but your phone rang? And what in the name of the gods themselves happened to you to cause such scars? Because I know good and well that they are at the very least a year or two old." Aizawa stated as he stared directly into Izuku's eyes, fully expecting an answer.

"O-Okay, I have a logical enough explanation for all of this, though for context my aunts do know, and they are technically my legal guardians as well." Izuku explained as Aizawa merely nodded.

After Izuku had explained the full situation from his fathers, and mothers death, up to that very point in time, it would be an understatement to say that Mirio and Aizawa were left absolutely speechless and horrified.

"S-Sir knew?" Mirio asked hesitantly.

"Yes, he did. He knew my father and when he first met me, he looked back instead of forward. He saw everything, he knows." Izuku explained as he quickly wiped the few stubborn tears that had broken past his borders.

"So, the Iida's knew and so did your aunt, but none of them made any report of what had happened to you?!" Aizawa asked flabbergasted as he stubbornly held back his own tears, his instincts pleading with him to comfort the younger Omega in front of him, though he knew that if he did no answers would be found.

"They couldn't, not without me making a statement about who my father was and what had happened. And I just couldn't handle making the statement, it just made his death feel too real. So, they all started investigating individually but they couldn't find anything. I think when the fire happened it destroyed all evidence of who they were and what they did." Izuku explained as he shuddered at the horrible memory of the flames chasing him as he was surrounded in nothing but black and the horrible stench of whatever was burning.

Aizawa merely pushed his hair back as he once again looked at the boy who still wouldn't make full eye contact with him.

Though Aizawa merely stood and brought the boy into a protective hug as he combed his mid-length hair through his fingers. Izuku could only latch onto the teacher as he buried his head in the older Omega's shoulder, taking comfort in his scent.

"I'm sorry problem child. It should have never had happened. And I wish I had known, so I wouldn't have put you through that hell in the beginning of the year and at the Sports Festival. But just know you will be safe so long as I have a say in it. I promise." Aizawa whispered gently to the boy as Izuku's barriers broke completely while he refused to remove his head from the man's shoulder, not that Aizawa would have let him either way.

Soon Mirio joined in on the hug as Aizawa merely patted the boy's shoulder while Mirio rubbed Izuku's back comfortingly.

"Hey now! Today's the School Festival! It's going to be fun, so let's go and have fun! Besides Takami I heard that your class is doing something super cool!" Mirio said excitedly as the Alpha tried to lift the mood.

It of course worked as Aizawa and Izuku stood up in unison while Izuku readjusted his mask and wiped his face. The three then went to Eri's room where Eri immediately latched onto Izuku just as she had done previously before the doctors stole him away, while they all headed off to the festival.

Once in the stadium where Class 1-A would be preforming, Aizawa then left the three to join the other teachers, though Izuku gently set down Eri as he was immediately tackled into a hug by Kaminari, Ochako, Jirou, and Aoyama.

"Oh, my gods!! Izuku!! You're okay!! Thank the gods everyone was so worried" Ochako cheered as he looked up to the ceiling trying to prevent herself from crying.

"Are you sure you're, okay? We heard that you had a lot of injuries" Kyouka Jirou, 16-years-old, Omega, Occupation: 1st year student, Mate: unknown. Jirou asked gently as she brushed a few stray hairs out of Izuku's face.

"I'm fine I promise, and nothing too bad I swear just a close call is all." Izuku said reassuringly while Ochako and Aoyama gave him the bullshit look.

"My friend, if you plan to lie to us about your condition then you must do a better job." Yuga Aoyama, 15-years-old, Omega, Occupation: 1st year student, Mate: unknown. Aoyama said as he placed his hand on his hips while Ochako joined him though crossing her arms over her chest.

"H-Hey! I'm not lying! I-I swear I'm okay! I-It was nothing bad!" Izuku tried though only getting the same look back, though this time Jirou and Kaminari joined in.

"That's not what Kirishima said! You should have seen him when he came back! Ochako was already a mess! But it got even worse when Kirishima came back! He said he went to check up on you and you had literal bullet wounds!!" Denki stated as Ochako only nodded in confirmation, though shuddering at the memory of what had happened.

"W-Wait Kirishima?" Izuku asked as he raised an eyebrow to Denki.

"Yeah, he saw you when you were in the hospital." Denki stated as Izuku's eyes blew wide at the statement.

"W-What?!? D-Did he see a-anything else?! D-Did he say anything e-else?" Izuku asked frantically while his friends merely looked at him questioningly.

"No? He said he saw you; he was fucking worried to hell and back and that you looked like you were in rough shape. What else was there?! Gods what else happened that you hoped he didn't see!?!" Jirou stated as she then became frantic at the implication that Izuku was in worse shape than what they had been originally told.

"N-Nothing! N-Nothing else happened. I-I was just embarrassed. I-Its k-kind of weird to hear that one of your friends saw you unconscious in the hospital, a-and I was kind of h-half naked i-in the hospital. T-They had to let my injuries breathe so they only had p-pants on me." Izuku said as he blushed.

"Oh, oh! O-Okay, y-yeah he didn't mention that!" Ochako said a little too loudly as Izuku only blushed more.

"I'm sure Kirishima didn't mention because he didn't want to be rude! Besides he probably wasn't even focused on.... That!" Kaminari defended while Ochako gave him the bullshit look.

"His wounds were primarily on his chest. If Kirishima looked at his injuries, then he looked!!"  Ochako said as she flailed her arms dramatically

"W-Well I-I'm sure that K-Kirishima wasn't-." Izuku started before being cut off.

"Okay Ochako let's not make anything sound bad, besides Kirishima was worried so I doubt anything bad was in his head." Jirou said calmly while Izuku merely groaned into his hands. Not exactly enjoying hearing his friends somewhat accuse his other friend of looking at him.... with not so clean thoughts.

Though Izuku, not exactly wanting to start whatever kind of brawl this could turn into, quickly unveiled his wings, and flew at least 10 feet of the ground, while the wind gust successfully cut off his friends bickering.

"Guys! It's okay, I'm not offended in any way! I know good and well Kirishima was being weird! And I was only embarrassed a bit is all" Izuku explained as he let himself fall back down to the ground as his wings vanished once again.

Though just as he had landed another body came hurdling into him.

"Takami! Hey man are you okay? Holy fuck you were awesome! But seriously are you okay you kind of gave me a heart attack dude." Kirishima said as he brought the boy into a bear hug of sorts, though Izuku immediately blushed at the praise and at the fact he knew plenty of people were staring at them at that moment.

"I-I'm fine" Izuku stated weakly as he adjusted himself so he could look of at the now smiling Kirishima.

"Awesome dude! Oh, hey I got the rope!" Kirishima said as he pulled out the rope that he had tied to his belt loop.

"Well about damn time! Jeez what took you so long?" Denki asked while Kirishima only chuckled a bit as he let go of Izuku.

"Sorry dude the store I originally went to was all out, had to go to a different store." Kirishima explained though Izuku could tell that it wasn't the full truth.

"Okay dude well let's go! We got to get this set up! Hey Takami if you want you can help Aoyama with his part? Though if your still feeling sore then just enjoy the show!" Denki said as he, Ochako, Kirishima, and Jirou sprinted off to the stage.

"Aoyama I'm good with helping, so what do we have to do?" Izuku asked as Aoyama then grabbed the boys hand as he leaded him to the locker rooms where Aoyama still had to get dressed for his part.

After the concert Izuku quickly gave his greetings to the rest of his class as he returned to Eri and Mirio and spent the day with them until Eri had to leave, where Izuku quickly flew after the girl carrying a caramel apple that he had made for the girl.

Though when he returned to the class Todoroki and Iida both lectured him a bit about his recklessness seeing as they hadn't been given the chance to do it earlier, while Todoroki hugged him gently the entire time.

"I'm sorry for worrying you Todoroki. Tenya can you please help me?" Izuku said as he once again tried and failed to get Todoroki to let go of him.

"This is your punishment. You act recklessly I don't let go." Todoroki stated as he tightened his grip slightly, though taking care as to not agitate Izuku's injuries further.

"I must say I agree with Todoroki. This is a suitable punishment." Iida stated as he made no move to make Todoroki to let go. All the while Izuku merely groaned in return as he buried himself into Todoroki's chest.

"Hey Takami! There you are-." Kirishima began though cutting himself off at the sight of Todoroki still trapping Izuku in a hug of sorts.

"Kirishima! Help me please!" Izuku begged as he tried to reach out for the red head.

"Kirishima don't, this is what he gets for worrying us." Iida stated though Kirishima only huffed a bit as he disregarded Iida's statement, while easily grabbing onto Izuku and pulling him from Todoroki as Izuku practically face planted into Kirishima's chest.

"I think he gets it guys" Kirishima said with chuckle while Iida and Todoroki only grumbled a bit.

"Actually, Kirishima can I talk to you for a second?" Izuku asked as he motioned for Kirishima to follow him.

"Sure thing." Kirishima said as he and Izuku made their way outside.

Once outside Izuku sat on one of the brick hedges as he patted the spot next to him while Kirishima then sat next to him and looked at the boy questioningly. "So, what did you need to talk about?" Kirishima asked as Izuku only looked up at the older boy, and felt incredibly grateful that he had his mask, already knowing this could get awkward quickly.

"Why did you lie earlier about why it took you so long to get the rope?" Izuku asked as he tried to make sure his tone was as unaccusatory as possible.

"Y-You noticed that?" Kirishima asked as he was taken back by how Izuku could tell he was lying.

"You're not a liar Kirishima, ever since the first day I knew I could trust you because you were open, and you never lied." Izuku explained though feeling his cheeks go hot as he quickly readjusted his mask to make sure it wasn't visible.

Though Kirishima's own blush was not at all hidden, though the older boy quickly felt the heat in his cheeks and turned his head away from Izuku before the other boy could see.

"That's why I was confused as to why you lied, I know you most likely weren't doing anything bad, you're a good person Kirishima. I just wanted to know if you're, okay? You're my friend and I don't want you feel like you have to hide whatever you could be going through, it's not a fun feeling." Izuku explained as Kirishima only looked at the boy in a stunned silence, not truly knowing if it was appropriate to hug the boy at the moment. Though he truly wanted to.

"I'm fine, I promise Takami-."

"Izuku, please. It's weird to hear someone I'm close to call me Takami." Izuku requested as he brought his knees to his chest while he attempted to hide his face from sight, not that it wasn't already hidden.

Kirishima couldn't help the blush that seemed to only worsen at the request. Though he quickly cleared his thoughts and waited for the heat to go down once again before he continued

"Izuku.... I promise I'm okay, I'm not hurt in anyway, the reason why I lied is because if fought a villain. He's called Gentle Criminal and he has a sidekick. They honestly aren't bad people, while they are villains they aren't anywhere near as bad as the league that's for sure. I didn't tell anyone because if the teachers found out I probably would get house arrest for it, and I didn't want to worry anyone, but I guess I failed at that bit." Kirishima explained while Izuku looked back to the red head with wide eyes.

"Are you sure you're, okay? What was his quirk? Do you need me to heal something.?" Izuku asked as Kirishima merely chuckled quietly

"No, I promise I wasn't hurt in anyway. But thanks Taka- Izuku. Believe me if something is going on you'll be the first to know." Kirishima promised while Izuku only nodded.

"Sure, though Kacchan will probably find out before me, he is your best friend after all, and I doubt you could actually lie to him." Izuku said with a giggle while Kirishima burst out laughing.

"I completely forgot about that nickname! I said it to him once and he nearly blasted me out of the classroom! Though Kaminari calls him it a lot, so do you. How do not get blown up?" Kirishima asked with a laugh.

"He yells at me a bit, but I think he secretly likes it. Or maybe he likes the fact that someone finally matched his level in nickname giving." Izuku explained while Kirishima merely shook his head in amusement.

"I wouldn't be surprised he's a character."

"Yeah, but you two are good friends. I can tell you were what he needed in a friend."

"You are really good at that aren't you?"

"Good at what?"

"Reading people, you trusted me from the first day because you could just read me. You help others without question because you can read them, right?" Kirishima asked while Izuku nodded his head.

"It's awesome, I bet it helps in certain situations."

"It does, though sometimes I can't always get the full picture, my dad taught me how to read people, how to see if they were trustworthy, but I guess I'm nowhere near as good at it as he was." Izuku explained while Kirishima gently grabbed the boys shoulder.

"Hey! You say that as if you have no idea what you're doing! You're really smart Izuku, I bet your just as good as he is." Kirishima said with a gentle smile, his shark teeth coming onto display slightly.

"Definitely not, but thanks." Izuku said with a small laugh

"I will trap you in a bear hug like what Todoroki did. Don't tempt me. I've done it to Mina and Kaminari. I will do it to you." Kirishima threatened lightly as he pushed himself closer to Izuku's face while the boy only laughed at the threat.

"You trapped Denki? Sorry I don't believe that one. He can't be locked up anywhere!" Izuku said through his laughter though immediately being cut off by being pulled into a bear hug trap.

"Believe me now?" Kirishima said smugly as Izuku kicked his legs a bit, only to realize he was not only the ground.

"Hey! At least Todoroki let me on the ground!" Izuku whined as he squirmed a bit in Kirishima's grasp.

"Nope, you don't get ground privileges now. Let's go I think Sato is making cake or something" Kirishima said as he switched one arm to being pinning Izuku completely while the other grabbed Izuku's legs and brought him into a bridal style carrying position.

"Hey! At least let me walk!"

"Nope!" Kirishima said with a laugh as he watched Izuku's futile struggling, before the boy just accepted his fate and allowed Kirishima to carry him back to the dorms.

"HA! Oh, let me guess Takami he caught you in the bear trap hug?" Mina shouted with a laugh as Kirishima walked into the dorms, still carrying Izuku while the boy let his head hang past Kirishima's arm, taking a bit of fun out of watching the world upside down.

"Yeah, and I thought Todoroki's hug traps were bad." Izuku said as Mina and Denki only laughed.

After Kirishima had finally put Izuku back down onto the ground everyone enjoyed the cake Sato had made as they all stayed up having fun and watching movies. While Kirishima and Bakugo had a semi sparing match which ended with Iida getting in between the two, cutting them short before they could do any damage.

And the night ended with everyone doing a sleep over in the common room as a few stayed up talking and hanging out while others ended up cuddled up with each other in multiple cuddle piles. But to say the least the night ended in fun.
