Chapter XV

Just as Izuku had asked Iida didn't say a word to anyone, to not his parents, the teachers, or his brother.

Though that did not mean that Izuku hadn't one day invited Iida over to the old park and explained absolutely everything that he had promised to.

While Iida was left stunned, angered, and saddened by his friends explanation, he once again swore to not tell a single soul unless Izuku gave him permission to.

Izuku hated having to ask such a thing from his friend, but he couldn't bring himself to speak out just yet.

He wasn't ready.

While Izuku wasn't ready to use his quirk on command it didn't mean Iida was ready to allow him to belittle himself into thinking that it wasn't worth trying.

Iida though did agree to help speed train Izuku either way, and how to use his legs as an attack.

And thankfully Iida always helped Izuku sneak off into the individual showers in the locker room to change, rather than changing in front of everyone else. And soon Izuku had made friends with a fellow Omega, Yuga Aoyama, who would also help him whenever needed to sneak into the showers to change.

But Iida did indeed help Izuku when it came to his quirk, it first started with Iida purposefully letting himself get injured much to Izuku horror and dismay, and then asking Izuku to heal his wounds. And of course, Izuku who was already horrified his friend was doing such a thing to himself, agreed to without hesitation.

And while it soon became to where it no longer bothered Izuku to use the healing side of his quirk, after having a very long therapy session with Iida. He still could hardly ever bring himself to use his wings.

He only used them in the most dangerous situations, and more often than not at the very last minute, every time, almost a second too late.

Prime example of this, the USJ attack, while Izuku had no trouble taking out the villains with just his fighting skills and no quirk, Izuku was almost too late when Shigaraki had aimed an attack for him after he had just healed Tsuyu's injured leg.

He only unveiled his wing at the very last second to push himself and Tsu out of the way of the attack, though quickly noticing Aizawa using his quirk to cancel Shigaraki's. Izuku was quick to notice Kirishima flying towards the villain at insane speeds, but before being able to get a hit on him the nomu left Aizawa in order to shield Shigaraki.

While the nomu was distracted Izuku took it as the chance to grab both Tsuyu and Mineta and soar away from the villain.

Though after dropping the two by the door Izuku quickly returned for Aizawa, as the boy began to use his quirk in order to heal the teacher.

(This kid.... His quirk is strong, and he knows how to use it.... Yet he purposely refuses to?) Aizawa thought to himself before Izuku then used his feathers to pick up the teacher gently and fly him back to the door.

Though Aizawa didn't miss the way Izuku quickly got a far-off look in his eyes when he went back to healing the teacher, after looking at his wings and then quickly hiding them again.

After the USJ attack everyone was surprised to see that Aizawa not only made it to class the next day but announced that the Sports Festival would still be going on.

When the Sports Festival finally arrived the Aizawa didn't fail to notice Iida seemingly couching Izuku through what looked like a breathing exercise.

Aizawa couldn't understand why Izuku purposely refused to use his quirk, it made no sense to him. It wasn't like his quirk was dangerous, hell if not for him Aizawa would be in much worse shape than he was at the moment. Only a few small bandages over his arms and new small scar under his eye, nothing horrible.

(Those two, I need to figure out what's going on.) Aizawa thought to himself as he then walked away to where the rest of the teachers were.

"Izuku, it will be alright. I know they will end up seeing it but either way it will save you the trouble from having to try and contact them, besides we've already talked to my parents and brother alright? We would have to face your aunts eventually" Iida said reassuringly as he rubbed the boys back.

"I-I k-know...... B-But what i-if they're m-mad at m-me... O-Or h-hate me for w-what I did o-or w-why I w-went into m-my dad's w-will o-or-."

"Izuku. For one I doubt they would ever be angry at you, two, no one can dare blame you for reacting the way you did, and you had every right to go into your fathers will, he left it for you." Iida explained as he hugged the boy tightly, hoping to break him out of his thoughts.

"O-Okay, t-thanks Tenya." Izuku said as he readjusted the mask he always wore.

"Of course, now let's go do our best!"

As the Sports Festival started, Izuku ended up getting first place on the optical course by using the landmines to propel him to the end. And then teaming up with Hatsume, Ochako, and Tokoyami during the group round.

Though throughout all of the challenges Aizawa noticed that not once had Izuku used his quirk, while Aizawa was none the less impressed by the boys abilities and intelligence he still knew that something must be done.

Once the one-on-one battles came up everyone went as Kirishima, Bakugou, Izuku, and Todoroki made it to the semifinals.

"Hey! Takami! That was awesome man!" Kirishima said as he ran up to the boy with a toothy smile.

"T-Thanks Kirishima, you d-did really good t-two, I-I didn't know your q-quirk was so p-powerful." Izuku said as Kirishima only smiled wider at the boy.

"Yeah! I try not to use my full quirk all the time, It can have some strain." Kirishima explained while Izuku merely nodded before pulling out his journal as he began writing in it.

"Woah! What's that?" Kirishima asked as he looked over the boys shoulder at the journal that was now flipped to the page of him.

"U-Uh i-its m-my hero j-journal, I have e-everyone in c-class written d-down. I-Its m-mostly things I-I've learned a-about them and t-their quirk, a-and my o-own suggestions o-on how t-to help t-them. S-Sorry I k-know it's weird a-and I shouldn't have w-written you down w-without asking." Izuku mumbled as he tried his hardest to his face as his blush had made its way past the barrier of his mask.

"Weird? Hell no! Bro that's awesome! I know I don't mind, and those illustrations are amazing!!" Kirishima praised as Izuku blush had made it to his ears causing his entire face to go pink. Though Izuku then sped up his walk trying his hardest to lose Kirishima

Though the red head was not one to be shaken off easily.

"Can I read it? Please?" Kirishima asked gently as he stopped himself in front of Izuku to block his path.

Izuku merely nodded sheepishly as he handed the book to the older boy.

"I hope you have enough notes on Bakugo in here, I have to fight him next." Kirishima joke while Izuku slowly raised his gaze back up to the red head as the boy flipped through the journal.

"I-I do, he's right here. Though I named him Kacchan. Since it means explosion and b-because he c-calls me Deku" Izuku said as Kirishima then bent over laughing.

"Oh! That's beautiful! I'm calling him that!" Kirishima said through his laughter as he nearly fell over.

Izuku couldn't help but laugh along with Kirishima while the red head finally fell onto his hands and knees while he choked slightly on his own laughter.

"A-Are you o-okay?" Izuku asked as Kirishima finally stopped his laughing

"Y-Yeah, but my gods that's too good."

Izuku and Kirishima then began there walk back to the bleachers once again, though they were stopped by Todoroki.

"Takami, can I speak with you?" Shoto Todoroki, 15-years-old. Alpha, Occupation: 1st year student, Mate: unknown. Todoroki asked while Izuku merely nodded and waved goodbye to Kirishima as he followed the dual haired boy outside.

"Takami, you don't use your quirk." Todoroki stated while the green haired boy merely nodded slightly.

"Neither do you Todoroki, you only use your right side." Izuku stated his voice just as cold at Shoto's, Izuku had always been perceptive.

"Your right I don't, but I don't use my left side because of my father. I refuse to be anything like him" Todoroki stated, while Izuku couldn't understand why he wouldn't want to be like his father.

It was no mystery who Shoto's father was. And while Izuku knew he didn't have the full story; he was still confused. Who wouldn't want to be like the number 2 Pro Hero?

Todoroki then explained the quirk marriage between his mother and father, and how horrible his father was.

While Izuku was left shocked, he had never expected a Pro to be so cruel, though he supposed life was full of surprises.

"What about you Takami, why do you refuse to use your quirk. You can heal, and fly. Why would you not use it?" Todoroki asked, though Izuku could only look away in shame, his memories once again coming back to haunt him.

"M-My reason i-is very different t-than yours T-Todoroki." Izuku stated as he tried to discreetly wipe away the tears that were forming in his eyes.

"While you hate your father and what nothing to do with him, I refuse to shame mine. I refuse to put his name to shame, more so than I already have. I will only use my quirk when it is necessary. I am not worthy of my quirk, and I refuse to use it until I have earned it." Izuku stated coldly as his tears cascaded down his face. Though catching himself by surprise at the lack of stuttering.

Though Izuku didn't stay around to celebrate, he quickly walked away from Todoroki as he made his way to the waiting rooms, another one-on-one was going on, and he and Todoroki were next.

While Izuku got himself prepared for the fight and got his face cleaned up a bit, Aizawa walked into the room.

"Takami." Aizawa said as Izuku jumped slightly at the sudden voice.

"M-Mr. Aizawa? I-Is everything a-alright?" Izuku asked while Aizawa merely sighed.

"Takami, I have come to tell you that if you do not use your quirk in this fight then you will be expelled." Aizawa stated coldly. While Izuku's eyes widened at the statement.

"S-Sir, is t-this just a-another l-logical ruse?" Izuku asked timidly, while Aizawa merely shook his head. Though in all honesty Aizawa had no plan of expelling Izuku, even if he didn't use his quirk.

But he needed the boy to get some motivation, he needed the boy to actually use his quirk. He needed to know what was going on with his student.

So Izuku merely nodded his head as Aizawa walked out of the room.

Though Izuku merely began his breathing exercises as he unveiled his wings and let the memories flow, though everyone more painful than the last. Once the bell rang for him to go out and into the arena Izuku hid his wings once again as he readjusted his mask, wiped his tears, and tried to mask his pain as much as possible.
