Chapter VIII

"Hey dad can I go to the park! I have all my schoolwork finished?" Izuku Takami, 11-years-old, Omega, Occupation: 6th year student, Mate: unknown. Izuku asked as he talked over the phone with his father.

*Haha! I expect that Izuku, I don't think you need to tell me anymore. But sure, you can go ahead and go to the park, just be back before I am, okay? *

"Yes dad! I will." Izuku said quickly.

*Okay then hatchling go ahead, be sure to hide you wings*

"Okay dad I will love you"

*Love you too hatchling*

After Izuku had gotten off the phone with his father he waisted no time in getting ready before bolting out the door, though not before he had made is wings vanish into practically thin air.

It had been a few hours since he had gotten to the park, at first, he came so he could draw what he saw and just relax. Though that only lasted about an hour before Izuku ran out of things to draw.

Though he quickly became ingulfed with the jungle gym that was unoccupied, and he decided to have some fun. Though after maybe 2 hours and getting a little sweaty, Izuku was once again left bored.

Though he didn't want to go home just yet. His father always got back at dark, so he still had at least 5 hours of day light left. So, he decided to just go for a stroll.

Though not unlike him on his stroll he helped anyone and everyone that looked like they needed it, an old lady trying to cross a busy street, of, course, a man trying to carry crates of fruit into his shop, sure thing! A kid crying because he dropped his ice cream, well Izuku got the child and himself a new one.

Though once Izuku realized how far he had walked he knew he should start heading back home as to not be late, also to clean up a bit, he had gotten even sweatier on his walk thanks to the summer sun.

Though when he looked to one of the road signs to look for a street so he could decide which short cut to take, only then did he realize that he had walked into his father's hero agency territory.

While normally it wasn't uncommon for Izuku to be at the agency, he normally came in with his aunt, so many people at that agency just assumed that he was her son.

Though Izuku only laughed to himself a bit at the realization, seeing as his mind naturally programmed itself to know every way back home and back to his father's agency. So, he decided that it wouldn't be a bad thing to sit on one of the rooftops and wait.

Izuku had easily gotten up to one of the rooftops on the tallest building as he searched the skies for either his aunt or his father. This wasn't the first time Izuku had done something like this, it would always start the same.

Izuku would ask to go to the park, and naturally Keigo would say yes, and eventually one way or another, Izuku would end up in the Hero's territory. And Keigo or Satari would easily sneak him into the agency, and he would just hang out there until they all went home.

And just as Izuku had expected his father had spotted him from a mile away and flew over to him.

"Well, hey there baby bird. Wanted to come and drop by?" Keigo questioned jokingly, having honestly expected this of his son.

"Yeah! How's patrol been?" Izuku asked as Keigo came to sit next to him

"It's been meh, only petty criminals today, though that's a good thing." Keigo stated while Izuku listened intently.

"What about you hatchling? Did you do anything fun?" Keigo asked while Izuku nodded with a smile.

"Yeah, I did, I got some ice cream earlier, and this man gave me some free apples because I helped him" Izuku said as he pulled out a bag of apples.

"Well, there we go" Keigo said with a laugh, though not doubting for a minute that Izuku most likely helped every person he saw on his way over. Though Keigo easily reached into the bag and pulled out two of the apples as he tossed one to Izuku who easily caught it.

The two just sat in a comfortable silence as they each munched on their apple though after about 10 minutes Keigo scanned the perimeter before throwing away his and Izuku's apple core in the trash.

"Okay then hatchling, I have to get back to patrol, but if you want you can go to the agency and hang out for a while and then I'll pick you up so we can fly home" Keigo said as he ruffled Izuku hair making the boy laugh.

"Okay dad, I'll-." But before Izuku could finish a loud explosion could be heard along with the terrified screams of the citizens down below.

Quickly Izuku and Keigo ran to the edge of the building and watched as on one of the buildings collapsed within a second and more screams could be heard as a large cloud of black fog and smoke began to surround the area.

"IZUKU STAY HERE." Keigo commanded as he took off into the sky, though Izuku quickly backed away from the ledge and ducked down slightly in hopes to keep out of sight and out of his father's way.

All Izuku could here was the loud explosions and gunshots, along with the screams of citizens. He was horrified, he wanted to help, but at the same time he refused to disobey his father.

Finally, after what seemed to be hours, though in truth it was only a mere 10 minutes Keigo soared back to the rooftop Izuku was on before quickly grabbing the boy and flying off. Though before Izuku could even get a word out, the building that he had been on collapsed.

Though Keigo landed quickly and hid Izuku behind a small shack on the rooftop of a new building before taking off again with the same command. Izuku was once again left alone in the haze of black fog and smoke. He couldn't see a thing, and every fiber of his being was telling him to go help, but once again he refused to disobey his father.

Though just as before Keigo came souring back and landed on the rooftop, though this time he had been injured. Izuku quickly ran to his father to access the injury and hopefully heal it. Though while Keigo didn't stop Izuku from healing his injury, the mans senses then went haywire as he stared directly into the cloud of fog and smoke.

Though before he could even tell Izuku to move or move himself, he pushed Izuku out of the way and onto the cement, though before Izuku could even question why his father had pushed him away....

Keigo was then hit by two spikes as one impaled his wing and the other stabbed him in the stomach. But as the spikes hit him, it caused the man to go fly back and off the rooftop as Izuku tried to reach him.

"DAD!!!" Izuku screamed as he reached off the rooftop for his father's hand, only to then see him crash through a window into the building next to the one he was on.

Izuku disregarding all rules his father had ever made for him, unveiled his wings, and soared into the building his father had crash into, despite the explosions, gunshots, and screams that could be heard only a few 100 feet away from him.

As Izuku stumbled into the building he quickly searched for his father, only to find him against a wall as he held the injury to his stomach tightly. Izuku then ran to his father and quickly kneeled beside him as he began heeling his wound, despite his fathers protest for him to get out and hide.

"I-Izuku run now! I-I'm fine, r-run!" Keigo tried though Izuku purposefully ignored his fathers pleas as he continued to heal him.

Though after minutes of Keigo yelling at Izuku to run, the man finally got the boys attention by grabbing onto his face with both of his bloody hands, only to see Izuku's tear stained face as a look of determination didn't dare leave his eyes.

"I'm not leaving you!! I'm not going to let you die like mom!!" Izuku screamed as Keigo was then left speechless while Izuku continued to heal the man, though both were caught off guard as the building began to quake and as explosions could be heard coming closer.

While Izuku paid it no mind and continue to fix up his father, Keigo paled at the realization as he quickly grabbed Izuku and brought him to his chest in a tight hug.

"Izuku, I can't fly, and I'm hurt. I'm sorry, I love you. I love you so much please never forget that." Keigo pleaded as he then flipped their positions to where Izuku was being shielded by Keigo's body as the roof began to fall in, along with the building quaking yet again.

"D-Dad.... P-Please d-don't leave me too. Please, dad, please, I love you please" Izuku begged as he held onto his father with a death grip.

"I-Izuku I will never leave you. I w-will always be with you. I will always l-love you, Izuku you're going to b-be an amazing Pro Hero, I believe in you. But d-don't be a Pro just for me, d-don't do it for anyone. O-Only do it because its what you want. D-Do it because you believe that the world is w-worth saving." Keigo struggled out as the building once again shook and Izuku cried out as his grip somehow tightened

"it'll b-be o-okay Izuku, I-I promise" Keigo said as he placed a kiss to Izuku's head.

Only for his feathers to pick up Izuku and fly him out of the building as it finally collapsed "DAD!!!!" Izuku screamed as the feathers dropped him onto the ground as a dust cloud then pushed into the area causing Izuku to become even more blind to his surroundings.

"DAD!! DAD!! PLEASE HELP!!! DAD!!!" Izuku screamed as his tears blurred his already cloudy vison.

Though before Izuku could even begin to move, to try and make the next decision, he felt a sharp stab like pain in his shoulder. Only to see a strange type of syringe in his shoulder.

Immediately Izuku grabbed at the syringe and yanked it out of his shoulder as he tried to fly away, only for his wings to cramp as he fell face first into the pavement. Izuku felt his limbs go numb and sore as he tried to get up yet again, only to fall back down once again as his vision went completely black.
