β€’ Third Person β€’

It was the last day of shooting so the director decided to make use of the whole day. With an excited shout, he ordered his staff to wake the guests at an ungodly hour at 5AM.

The pairs were shaken at the sudden knocks on their doors. When they were informed that breakfast was at stake if they didn't go down the lobby fast enough, so the women were quick to move out of their rooms.

The youngest pair, WinRina, were the first ones to arrive. Knowing that they were first, the two immediately draped down the couches and closed their eyes to rest. They were followed by the XiaoJin couple. Yujin was pulling the businesswoman who was still brushing her teeth. This earned a few chuckles from the other guests of the hotel who were passing by. Not long after, Eunseo and Bona came stumbling down the flight of stairs. They were both panting when they arrived.

"Unfair!" Eunseo gasped out. "We were at the topmost floor and then-" She breathed in, still trying to catch her breath. "Then we had to use the stairs 'cause the elevator was taking forever."

They heaved their bodies to the couches. Eunseo didn't even bother with modesty as she flopped down on the laps of the two resting youngest team.

The director stared blankly at the sight before him. He loved all the material he was getting but he was still dumbfounded at the nonchalant behavior of these supposed 'elegant' and 'honorable' behaviors of famous figures.

Eunseo was haphazardly lying down on Karina's and Winter's laps. The said two who were sleepy were suddenly being playful as they poke Eunseo's body repeatedly. Bona looked like a corpse resting on the chair while Yujin was chatting with some hotel guests by the side. Xiaoting was just spacing out as she stared at the open window while a toothbrush was still in her mouth.

The director could only sigh and think to himself, Ah it's my fault. I should have been smarter with what to do at this time.

Nevertheless, he ushered everyone to wake up and prepare for a game they'll be playing.

"I know it's early for you guys, but we'll be preparing to leave early today. But before that, we'll first have breakfast. Don't worry, everyone will be eating breakfast, however your menu will depend on the game we'll be playing. The game is called 'Five Seconds, Three Answers'. You will be asked a question which you will have to provide three related answers to. If your partner succeeds, then you'll both gain a point. The team who correctly answers three times will win. Our arrangement will be Winter and Karina, followed by Xiaoting and Yujin, and finally Eunseo and Bona. Are there any question?"

Everyone shook their head no so the game quickly started with the pairs standing in a line. Karina was the first to go.

"What trait do you dislike about Winter?"

"Nothing? Uh... S-she uhm, whines a lot, and-"

"Times up!" Everyone laughed at Karina's horrified face as she looked back at the girl behind her who was already pouting.

"What do you like most about Karina?"

"Face, body and money." Winter stated her answer with a straight which made everyone clutch there stomach for laughing so hard. Karina hid her face in embarrassment even though she wasn't the one who said the answer.

Next was Xiaoting.

"What did you do after waking up?"

"Wake Yujin, check my phone, brush my teeth." Yujin cheered because as long as she answers the question for her, they'll be the leading team.

"What does Ms. Shen like about you?"

"Huh? I- uhm, my face, talent, and uhh- me?"

The director laughed. "So Ms. Shen likes you for your face, talent and yourself in general?"

The singer laughed as she shy shyly walked to the end of the line behind Xiaoting. The said woman was looking at her with a knowing smile. If only they knew.

Next was Eunseo.

"What are your greatest assets?"

"..." The five seconds quickly ended with Eunseo shyly covering her mouth. "The first thing I thought of is not appropriate, after which I couldn't think of anything else."

The lobby was filled with laughter at her ambiguous words. Bona shook her head with a smile as if she was already used to this side of her partner.

"What are Eunseo's love langauge?"

"Uh, hugs, praises and... e-eskimo kisses?"

The restaurant errupted into a collective 'oohs' to tease the two. Bona just laughed it off while Eunseo was wiggling her eyebrows at the camera suggestively.

The game quickly progressed with XiaoJin getting three points quickly. This was followed by the EunBo couple, and then WinRina.

They went back to their respective rooms to prepare. Their winning breakfasts will be delivered to their rooms to save them time as they will move to the next venue.

The three pairs were ushered to ride in one bus. The ride was quick and smooth. It didn't take long for the couples to realize that their next shooting site would be an amusement park.

After arriving, they first had light lunches. During which, the director explained their task for the day.

"For our last day of shooting, you will be playing as pairs. The task is to reach the final point as quick as possible. There will be four stops and each stop will have a mission for you to do. In order to move on, you will have to do the task successfully. Don't worry, each pair will have different starting points by random draw. Luck will play a huge part in your picking as some starting points will be easier to finish. Last but not the least, the winning team will be given a three-set meat. Not only that, they will also have the benefit of having their music played after the show's broadcast for one whole week!"

Everyone cheered at the rewards. This made each pair more competitive.

After picking random draws, each team were ushered to their respective beginning sites.

"Out of all the rides, we really had to start with this?" Yujin groaned.

Xiaoting looked up at the ominous roller coaster standing before them. Even she couldn't help gulping at the overwhelming height and turns of the ride.

The assistant producer guiding them explained to them their task, "The first point you picked is the 'Kara-coaster'. This is basically karaoke while riding the roller coaster. You can choose whatever song you want. All you have to do is reach a score of 90 in the karaoke machine in order to pass."

The singer felt her stomach turning. "What if... if we don't reach that score on the first try?"

The producer smiled which made Yujin hope for an alternative, "Then you will have to ride it again and again." And such was how her hopes were crushed.

The two were quickly strapped into their seats.

"I'm not scared of heights- God, I could even bravely go on a bungee jump but roller coasters are on a different level. They're a menace I tell you." Yujin rambled nervously at the straps on her shoulders.

Xiaoting, as nervous as the woman beside her or probably much more, reached out her hand to comfort Yujin.

"You know..." Xiaoting started in hopes of distracting the singer. "I haven't been to amusement parks much. When my parents were alive, I was too young to ride most of these, and when I was old enough, I didn't have the luxury or interest to visit such places."

Yujin felt a tug at her heart when she heard her. "Good thing you have the best girl to accompany you today. I'll make today extra special."

"It already is." Smiled Xiaoting.

Yujin whipped her head to the front to avoid the other woman's gaze. It was filled with so much emotion, I can't look at her without spacing out.

Before the older could reply, both women suddenly felt their souls leave their body as the roller coaster arrived at the sudden drop. Both screamed in surprise as their speed went faster. Xiaoting, the louder of the two, had her eyes closed while Yujin had her head dropped down as her hair covered her face. This scene in particular earned laughs from viewers when it was broadcasted. It was edited as if the two were confessing their love for each other when it was comedically broken by the newly nicknamed "roller coaster of love". It was charming in its own unique way.

All of a sudden they heard the intro of their chosen karaoke song in their earpiece which prompted them to sing. The two competitive souls, albeit feeling dizzy and disoriented, sang their hearts out to the hit summer song Up! by Kep1er.

"Here we goooOOOO-"

The staffs were both feeling bad and entertained at the shouts by the two beauties. Xiaoting's screams were unexpectedly loud and high pitched whereas Yujin's were surprisingly more controlled as she simply shouted the lyrics to the song.

The ride finally came to an end as the two stood up to check the score.

"Congratulations! You can be a singer one day!"

The duo happily hugged each other as they barely reached the cut by scoring exactly 90 points.

When they finally let go of each other, they realized that the staff with them were all looking at them fondly. Both let go of each other in embarassment at the attention.

"Okay, you guys, we will now move on to the next site."

They arrived at the anchors away.

"For your next mission, you will have to ride the anchors away on opposite ends. You will each be given a set of words as you alternatively try to guess what the other person is saying. In order to pass the task, you have to at least get 5 correct answers. You have to wait for the director's whistle before starting. Is that clear?"

Yujin dramatically leaned towards Xiaoting. "You're going to separate us? Preposterous! You can't separate us!"

Her partner could only shake her head in amusement.

Not long after they sat down on their respective places. The singer will be the first to guess the word while the other will describe it.

The ride started moving. When the director blew the whistle, Xiaoting quickly looked at the cards given to her for the first word.

"You look like this!" She shouted.

"A person or animal?"

"The latter!"

"A bunny!"

"That's right!"

We'll probably score five points sooner than I expected. Xiaoting thought.

Yujin started describing the next word as the ride started ascending higher.

"He's a famous character with superpowers!"

Huh? "Superman?"

"He's green!"

"Oh, the hulk!"

"No! He's a cute green-colored cartoon character with superpowers!"

"Baby Yoda! Beast boy! Ninja turles! Mojo Jojo! Mike Wozawski! Kermit the frog!"

"Kermit doesn't even have powers!"

"Yujin, focus!"

"Yah, you should be the one focusing! How could you not know this!?"

"I'm a foreigner what did you expect!?"

"... Sorry! But how could you name every green character but not this one!"

"Choi Yujin focus!"

"Pass! Pass!"

The staffs below laughed at the adorable quarrel by the two. The editor reminded himself to edit it as if they were witnessing a married couple's petty fight.

Xiaoting rolled her eyes and quickly looked at the word she has to describe.

"This is a kind of side dish to a burger!"

"French fries!"

"That's right!"

"How could you get the easier words to describe! PD-nim your playing favorites!" Yujin pointed at the director who was laughing below them.

"Hey start describing the word, pabo!"

"Pabo!? You're a pabo!"

The ride didn't take too long to stop, and luckily despite the arguments inserted between their game, the two were able to successfully reach the five-point goal- all thanks to Xiaoting.

It was already late afternoon so the teams decided to take a short break. Each pair stopped in order to keep it fair.

XiaoJin was currently leading, however the other two pairs were also in their second stop so the table could turn any minute. After their short break, the game resumed.

Xiaoting and Yujin were lead to the bumper car studio.

"For your third stop, you will have to each ride a bumper car. The other cars will be driven by staff members. Their cars are attached with two balloons, one on the front and one on the back. The goal here is simple- pop 10 balloons and you will succeed. Any questions?"

The two shook their head no. Xiaoting glanced at Yujin beside her.

"Just so you know, I have a personal driver for the sole reason that I don't know how to drive."

"Don't worry, Ting. This will be my redemption arc!" Yujin cheered.

But 20 minutes have already passed and they were only able to pop two ballons. One of which was only because the staff accidentally bumped into the wall.

"Your redemption arc is terribly not giving you any redemption." Xiaoting sighed as she failed to pop the balloon the bumper car she was following.

Yujin rolled her eyes. "Well, just so you know, in driving school I was taught not to bump into cars."

"Yeah, yeah." Despite Xiaoting's lackluster response, she unknowingly had on one of her widest smiles.

Yujin saw this and smiled quietly. Losing doesn't look that bad anymore.

After more than one and a half hour, they were finally able to succeed their mission. That was only because Yujin brought out her big guns- her aegyo in order to ask the staff to not run away too fast.

They were fully aware that they were already the last group so they just decided to enjoy the last stop.

"For your final destination, you will have to ride the ferris wheel and look for a banner that has a riddle written on it. You will have to answer the said riddle correctly in order to succeed. However, you will only be given one chance. Therefore, you must be a hundred percent sure before giving me your answer. If you're unable to see the banner until the ferris wheel comes back down again, you will have to ride it again. If your answer to the riddle is incorrect, you will also have to ride the ferris wheel again as you will be given a new riddle placed in a possibly new location. Understood?"

Yujin raised her hand as she looked up at the sky that was dyed in shades and hues of red and oranges. "It's getting late now though, would we still be able to see the banner?"

"Yes. You don't have to worry because there are lights pointed towards the banner."

"Okay.~"

The two went ahead and entered the ferris wheel. They sat beside each other and decided to look for the banner separately.

Yujin giggled as it didn't take her a long time to see the huge banner. The staff clearly made sure that it can be read from afar.

"Ting, I found the banner, look." Yujin pointed towards the said location.

Xiaoting leaned on her side and gave a low laugh. "I was honestly expecting an ivy school worthy type of riddle. This however looks like it was stolen from the internet."

Yujin laughed and read the riddle again in her mind. Two children are born on the same day by the same mother but they are not twins. How is that possible?

"Triplets?"

"Triplets."

The two said at the same time which made them laugh. Yujin turned her head towards Ting who was unexpectedly too close for her fragile heart.

Xiaoting noticed the older suddenly turning rigged so she looked at her. That's when she noticed that they were in a very close proximity. This made her blush so she quickly moved back on her seat.

Their cart was now filled with awkward silence.

Yujin took out her phone to text Xiaoting that she wanted to talk about something but felt shy because of the camera. The younger raised her eyebrows in question but nodded nonetheless.

The singer playfully waved by at the camera and whispered, "We're riding in a ferris wheel and the backdrop is so pretty. I'll do the obligatory confession scene so I'll have to cover your eyes first, okay?"

Right after saying this, she expertly turned turned off the camera. Xiaoting laughed, "You know they will edit that weirdly, right?"

"I know, but that's what the fans want. I simply provide the wants of my children, Ting." She replied in mock seriousness.

Yujin helped Xiaoting turn off her mic for their privacy. When they were finally satisfied that no outsider would hear them, it was just in time for them to stop exactly on top.

"Ting."

"Hm?" Xiaoting quickly averted her gaze towards Yujin which made the latter smile.

The singer breathed in nervously as she reached out for Ting's hand.

With a shaky breathe she started speaking, "It's been months since we've known each other and I've fallen for every little thing about you. From your shy gummy smiles to your annoying habit of forgetting to charge your phone. I find everything about you endearing- a-and I'm scared. Scared how easily you can make me happy or sad. Scared of losing myself in these feelings. But everytime I look into your eyes, it calms me. It makes me think that it's okay to delve into these feelings because it's with you. Someone so beautiful, both inside and out. I feel like I've lucked out in the relationship department for having someone like you to like me. No, not someone like you. It's specifically because it is you and you alone. During the entirety of this shoot, waking up with you made me realize that I want to be beside you everyday. Now, I'm sure that I want to be the one ending my day with you. Shen Xiaoting, I am in love with you."

Xiaoting's eyes started pooling with tears. She turned her head up saying, "I didn't know that you were serious about your obligatory confession scene."

Yujin laughed but she herself was also keeping her tears at bay. A few tears dropped from Xiaoting's eyes which she quickly wiped away with their intertwined hands.

After she did, Xiaoting started chuckling. "I'm the one courting you so this confession of yours was beyond unexpected to me. But that doesn't matter because this is making me happy either way. I just- These feelings are new to me and I'm not exactly fluent in expressing them. I'm sure of my feelings for you but, but I can't tell you now that it's as deep as yours. You deserve the best, so for now I want to ask for your patience."

"That's okay, I just wanted to tell you. Also, you may be the one officially courting me, but I'll be the one making you fall for me." Yujin shot her a wink which made the other smile.

"You don't have to do much. I'm pretty sure I'm on the way there." Xiaoting replied.

"That's all the assurance I need."

"I'd be honored to spend the rest of my sunrises with you, Yujin."

"As long as you'll be in my sunsets, the honor is all mine, Ting."
