After WakeUp released the official announcement for the cast, it immediately reached the top of the hot searches in the internet.

The news that an odd figure from the financial world would accompany me spread all over newsfeeds for a while, raising the expectations of the viewers. I laughed when I saw that the video of me and Ting during dinner trended again. I felt proud at how much people were praising my Xiaoting's visuals.

Our ever supportive friends and my sisters quickly shared the news on their social media platforms with the hashtag 'XiaoJin' which further excited the fans.

It didn't take long for 'We're The Real Couple' program team to finalize the flow of the show. It was decided that we would go to the small country town of Tokkifens. The hotel that we would stay in for three days and three nights was also booked.

We were soon scheduled to start filming. Ting and I were currently boarding the plain to go to the filming location.

Immediately after we sat down, a staff attached a camera in front of us to collect materials.

Hah. I already told Ting earlier that we can act like we always do. Unfortunately for the team, our 'usual' would consist of us sharing the same space in silence. Ting opened her tablet so that she could read while I took out my phone to play some games. The flight was only an hour long.

20 minutes into my game, I started getting frustrated at my teammates. I was already scrunching my eyebrows in disdain as I bit my lip in focus. When another one of my teammates got killed, I couldn't help but mutter, "Pabo."

I saw from my peripheral that Ting moved. I felt her fingers smoothing my scrunched eyebrows. "We're already filming. Pay attention to your image."

I didn't bother with my game anymore and left it. I adjusted my body so that I was side-facing her.

"It's alright. My fans love it when I talk like that."

"Like what?"

"Like I'm looking down on them. They're a weird bunch but I love them anyway."

I grinned at her as she chuckled. "You should just rest for the remaining time. You went home yesterday later than usual."

"I'm not sleepy though.~" I whined.

"Should I read you a story?" She asked playfully.

I beamed at her words. "I'd like that! You can read me what you're reading right now."

"... It's about the inflation rate of the large manufacturing sector in the Chinese market."

I paused but leaned my head on her shoulder. "That's okay. That sounds like the perfect story to make me sleep."

"... It's in Mandarin, Yujin."

"... That's okay, too. As long as you're the one reading it."

With that, she started reading while I closed my eyes to solely focus on her voice. I smiled because no matter how many times I hear her speak, I'll never get tired when her voice turns lower into a raspy feminine volume whenever she speaks in her native language. I'm pretty sure the sound director is getting drunk while listening to her voice.

"Ting." I called, still keeping my eyes closed.

"Hm?"

"When this part is broadcasted, I'm certain you'll get a bunch of voice admirers or something. They'll probably want you to make a podcast of some sort." I felt her shake her head, probably thinking that I was bluffing.

"Should I stop?" She whispered.

I sat up and opened my eyes to laugh. "Please, don't. I don't want to be attacked by your future fans. Besides, I like listening to you talk."

"Okay." She carried on reading while I went back to my previous position. Before closing my eyes, I saw PD-nim giving me a thumbs while I smiled at him in acknowledgment.

This is a variety and I plan to make everyone see this treasure of mine shine.

After arriving at the hotel, I wanted to have a one on one talk with the production team.

This is supposed to be a couple show and they think it's a good idea for us to sleep in different rooms!? Tsk, tsk.

I glared at PD-nim who looked at me confused and scared at the same time. I took my gaze away from him and pulled Ting's sleeve to get her attention.

"Ting," I whispered. "This is preposterous."

"What is?"

"Us sleeping in separate rooms!"

She paused for a moment and giggled. Stop distracting me with your giggles, woman! "As much as I want to be with you, we should respect the staff with their arrangement."

She leaned down closer to my ear. "Besides, do you honestly think I would be able to behave myself with how close we would be? Have you forgotten already that I look at you as a potential lover?"

I pushed her slightly as I felt my ears getting warm. "Don't be indecent! This is for the audience. I'm thinking about the mental health of the fans. Imagine them seeing their ships they voted so hard on, only to see them sleep in different rooms. They would be fuming! Viewers rating would drop I tell you." I said with all righteousness in my words.

"Okay, okay." She conceded. "How do you plan to do this?"

"Let's talk to the producers. The show is new so as someone who has watched and joined a lot of variety shows, I will mentor them!" I cheered.

Just as I said, we talked to the production team. I gave them my thoughts about why it's important for this segment to attract viewers. I even added a few notes on what to do for the next portions of the show. They praised me for my insights while Ting was quietly beside me the whole time.

The director finally agreed and decided to talk to the owner of the hotel. We were waiting by the lobby when the director approached us.

"Yujin, there weren't twin bedrooms available anymore. They only had double beds."

Even better! The heaven's are clearly on my side. "That's okay, this is the wish of all shippers! Also, we already burdened them with the sudden change of rooms so let's take that. Is that okay, Ting?"

I looked at Ting sitting by my side. She fixed my fringe before replying, "Mhm. Whatever you say."

I smiled and thanked her for fixing my hair. "That's it then! Let's go check our room."

"Okay." Ting stood up. "Director, cut this whole portion out."

Ting said it so seriously that I could see the director take a gulp. "Of course, Ms. Shen."

"Good. Thank you for your work."

I chuckled at the director's expression. I patted his shoulders to comfort him.

I understood why Ting wanted to cut this part out. We were supposed to be guests of the show, so it would be skeptical if I was suggesting what to do behind the scenes. After waiting for a while for the staff to equip the new room with cameras, we proceeded to head to the new room.

When I pushed the key card to the door, the room brightened. We pulled our suit cases against the wall as I immediately flopped down on the bed. Ting surveyed the room, seemingly checking out where all the cameras are placed. I sat up against the head board and opened my phone.

Ting came out of the bathroom, seemingly satisfied with the layout of the room. "I'll freshen up first."

I dramatically covered my chest with my arms. "Omo, Shen Xiaoting. Why are you telling me? Do you want me to go with you?"

"..." She blankly stared at me before coming closer to softly knock on my head. "Pay attention to your image."

"But I'm already an adult!" I justified. I looked at the camera on the bedside table. "Everyone, those under age of eighteen is forbidden to watch this segment."

I heard her giggle which made me smile wider. She pat the tap of my head while saying, "Cheeky."

Filming would officially start tomorrow so we decided to sleep early. The night passed by without anymore notable events. We were already laying on the bedβ€”

"I want to brush my teeth."

I turned my head towards Ting who sat up. "Okay...?" I answered, confused. I got even more confused when she took her phone and started typing. After which she showed it to me. 'I need to tell you something.' said the message and I quickly understood.

"Oh, I haven't brushed mine. Let's go together." I said and we both stood up to go to the bathroom.

I followed right after her and closed the door. She opened the faucet and stopped to look at me.

I craned my head to the side, confused. "Don't wasteβ€”"

"Can I hug you? I wanted to do this since earlier." She cutely opened her arms and gave me a smile.

I returned her smile and wrapped my arms around her neck. I didn't hug her for too long and moved back. "Come on, we shouldn't waste water." I giggled while she pouted but still turned off the faucet.

When we finally walked out the bathroom, I ran to the bed and hid under the covers.

"If you're feeling cold, we can turn up the heater."

"No need. I just wanted to do something." I said as I crawled out of the quilt and laid down on the bed in a seductive posture. I raised my hand and hooked a finger to beckon her towards me. "Ms. Shen, please join me in bed."

I giggled when she sighed and massaged her temple. "Are you trying to turn this show into rated 18?"

"Why not?~" I replied.

"Please pay attention to your image." I laughed since she kept saying that since earlier. "Now, lie down since we'll wake up early tomorrow."

I stopped goofing off and returned under the cover. But I stood back up when I remembered something.

"What's wrong?" I heard Ting ask while I rummage my suit case for the small cloths I brought. I showed it to her and told her that I'll be covering the cameras with it.

When I was finally at the last camera that was situated on a high shelf, I whispered to the camera. "Ting and I are going to have our alone time so I'm going to cover your eyes. Good night, everyone.~"

I covered the camera and Ting reached out a hand to help me down.

"You were being to ambiguous."

"You like it anyway.~"

"Pay attention to your image."

"Yes.~"
