3. Betrayal

Sophie sat down on the sofa next to her mother and smiled before saying "hey mama? It's been 2 days and I still haven't heard more of the story" she frowned slightly "can I hear more? Pleaseeeeeee" she begged.

Sophies mother laughed at her daughters cuteness and agreed to tell her more of the story.

>>short fast forward<<

"And it turned out to be...Evelyn!"

Sophie gasped in shock of the news "mama no! I thought it would be Ruth she's horrible!"

"Well my dear sometimes stories don't go as planned" she explained to her and smiled softly. "Shall I continue?"

Sophie nodded for her mother to continue on with the story and she sat listening to her for a while before it was time for dinner.

"Oo pasta my favourite!" Sophie giggled as she dug right in to the plate of pasta her mother had made for her.

"Enjoy my little flower"

"Mama?" Sophie looked up from her plate to her mother. "Why did Evelyn do that to Rose? That's so mean...I thought they were meant to be friends..."

"Well dear, that's the thing about friends you don't ever really know who you can trust or you think you know you can trust someone and they turn out to be a backstabber even when you least expect it." She explained to her child.

"Well...I hope Rose finds better friends when you tell me the rest of the story!"

"Don't worry she will..just not yet"
