I sigh as I slowly get up after being woken up to the horrible sounds of knocking on my door at about 6:30am on a Friday.

"Your highness?" Calls out a high pitched female voice from the other side of the door. "You must get up and get ready your highness...may I come in?"

I realise the voice belongs to my personal assistant Evelyn so I get up out fo my bed throw on a robe and open the door for her "yes of course you can come in Evelyn" I smile at her and allow her to enter my room.

"Oh you highne-" Evelyn is cut short as I shush her while I close the door.

"Eve you're fine just call me Rose or Princess or anything other than that" I tell her as I roll my eyes.
Me and Evelyn are actually friends we grew up together so I trust her completely and hate when she gets too formal when no one is around.

"Oh gosh I'm sorry Rose I was too much again" she sighs "anyways you must get ready because Prince Florian is coming to visit today" she tells me as she goes to my wardrobe to prepare my clothes for the day.

"Hmm already? Oh Eve don't you just hate how time flies? I'm getting married soon I truly cannot believe that I'm really going to marry the person I love" I start to feel excitement rush through my body as I jump over to Evelyn and give her a hug resulting in her dropping my gown on the floor but we just laughed it off and she helped me get ready and do my makeup for the Prince's arrival.

Evelyn came running to me almost out of breath "Princess! Prince Florian has arrived and is waiting for you downstairs" she then takes a moment to properly catch her breath.

"Okay Eve thank you dear" I say as I gave her a small smile "you follow me down when you're ready" I then made my way downstairs in my long golden dress with cute little blush pink roses carefully placed around the waistline of the dress. I see Prince Florian and I can't help but smile at the sight of him.

"Your highness you look breathtaking as always" he says flirtatiously as he pulls me closer to him and gives me a soft peck on the cheek.

"Tryung to flatter me as usual?" I laugh and step away from him to create some space between us. "My love..." I pause for a moment to think "why are you here so early? You said you'd come by on Monday?" I ask him wondering why he's showed up 3 days early.

"Simply because I couldn't wait a moment longer to see you, my gem" he says to me and then proceeds to walk past me "do you mind if I wander around the Palace for a moment? I have some gifts I'll give to you later."

I thought it was a bit weird how he was acting since he's not usually like this but I brushed it off and told him it was fine and I couldn't wait to see the gifts later.

I turned around and decided to go back upstairs to my room. I was feeling unappreciated. I really truly think I do love Florian but soemtimes it feels as though the feeling is not mutual like an unrequited love...it feels like he's using me and we are meant to be married soon I was totally conflicted about this whole situation.

I sighed and sat on my bed and then wondered where Evelyn had gone. She's probably busy working around the castle I assume and was about to go back into my bubble of thoughts when the door burts open.

"Where is my saphire pendant!?" Says an incredibly angry looking Ruth. I could tell she was very irritated.

I stand up and walk over to her as I roll my eyes "I don't know where your pendant is Ruth. Now please leave I'm busy here" even though I wasn't really busy I most definitely did not want her company around.

"Ugh you're such a liar! I know it was you who took it! You know that's my favourite pendant, Rose. You know-" she cuts herself of and turns around to leave the room "You're so selfish Rose...that was the last thing mother gave me before she passed so you better hope I find it you little goody two shoes" she then stormed out of the room and slammed the door shut too.

Well that was just unnecessary I thought to myself. She's always like this she assumes I've done something then realises I haven't and can't admit she's wrong and she always loves to cause a scene.

I exit my room in a simple off white knee high dress and walk down the hall upstairs to look for Florian to ask him to join me for dinner but as I walk past one of the rooms I overhear something I wish I hadn't. I peep through the crack of the door and see Prince Florian kissing another woman. My heart shattered into a million pieces then and there even though I knew deep down he hadn't truly loved me and then rage filled me and I was fuming as I seen the face of the girl and it was no other than....
