When I woke up, there was a box of chocolates and some flowers on my bedside table. I looked to my wrists, seeing handcuffs on my good arm, but not my bad one. I used my broken arm to reach over to the flowers, and pulling one out I saw they slant cut the bottoms. Perfect. I made quick work of the hand cuffs, and threw them away, then the trouble of sitting up.

"Eh... arrgh... bwahaha!" I finally stood, with the help of my bedside table. I opened the box of chocolates and ate one for energy. I used my good arm to then pull the needles in my arm out of me, and went over to a pair of crutches in the corner of the room.

I had by now made it to the door, painfully, but I made it, and quickly left the room. I hadn't realized that it was three twenty four a.m. when I decided to get away, but, nonetheless, I was content to get out of this place. Being as quiet as I could, I snuck past three doors, and heard talking in the fourth.

"N, nooo, com bak, ples, I wont hutcu..." I heard, and realized someone was talking in his sleep, though I only heard three doors of the four snoring and making noise, I made nothing of it. I continued past, but when I got to the stairway, I saw someone walking towards me, and holding a glass of water.

"Hey! What are you doing out of bed!?" He whisper yelled at me, and quickly made his way up the stairs, Jason, in just his boxers. I began to quickly limp, making my way away from the man, who was about the same age as me. I had dropped the crutches by now and was just trying to get away from him, making our way through the corridors of the upper Wayne manor.

"Where do you think your going girly?" He said as I came to a cul-de-sac. I turned my back, and kept backing myself into the corner, getting into a fighting stance.

"Away from here." I said as I threw a punch at the man, and he easily caught it. He pushed my fist away and grabbed me, pulling me over his shoulders, and piggy-backing me all the way back to my room.

"Now, if I set you here, will you actually stay, here?" Th slightly attractive Jason asked.

"No promises." I said, and gave him my back as I rolled over, thinking about escape from all these men.

When I woke up I smelled something along the lines of bacon wafting in from downstairs, and began to get out of bed, clutching my ribs. Knock! Knock!

"Veronica, can I come in?!" I heard Damian.

"Sure." I said halfheartedly. He walked in, holding a plate with some toast, bacon, and eggs.

"Uhh," he stared at me, crawling on the ground towards the crutches, trying to Stand. "what're you doing?" He asked at my awkward shape.

"Shut up and help me up." I told him while holding out my hand. He quickly set my food down on the table next to my bed, and rushed to my side, pulling me up. He quickly shoved my crutches under my arms before I could've fallen again.

"Thank you. Can you help me down the stairs?" I asked my brother after I got my balance.

"Why don't you eat your food first?" He said, and I unwillingly complied.

I had scarfed my food down, not realizing that I was so hungry before, and Damian made small talk. Apparently while I was out, Blue has been sending flowers every day, and Gar has been sending the chocolates. M'gann has been writhing letters about everything that's been happening on the team, and Tim would bring everything from my residents here for me. Apparently the guy who was controlling the war world had been defeated in a whole weeks worth of straight battling, and a few of the team have moved to the justice league, like Bumble Bee and La'gann.

"Wow, I said as I finished eating my food. Now, as much as I'd like to go and say hi to the team, I kind of have to get out of this room first." I told my younger brother. He complied and helped me up. I crutched down the hallway, Damian holding me up as I carefully limped down the steps. Once I made it to the bottom I saw Bruce, and Dick, and Jason. I had a strange feeling in my stomach around him.
