When the bell rang Evelyn and Ainsley kissed their boyfriends goodbye and headed to Ainsley's house. Evelyn promised Ainsley she would help her get ready for the dance. Evelyn still left her stuff at home though, because she wanted to surprise her best friend with her beauty.

By the time Ainsley showered, got changed into her extravagant yellow dress, and did her makeup and hair, it was 4:30. The dance started at 7:00 and the boys were picking them up at 6:45. They decided to just meet at the bathrooms when they got there.

"Wow Ainsley...you look b-beautiful." Evelyn has told Ainsley she was pretty before, but this time was different. This time she had accepted the fact that she was in love with her. Almost.

"Thanks Evelyn..." Ainsley said embarrassed. Evelyn looked up and saw Ainsley's face had turned bright pink. Evelyn started blushing until she looked at the time.

"Golly! Look at the time! I should go home to get ready." Evelyn said hurriedly.

"O-ok. I'll see you at school then?"

"Cant wait. This will be the best night of our lives!" Evelyn said smiling and closing her eyes. She waved Ainsley goodbye and ran to her house as fast as she could.

Evelyn showered and got her dress from her closet. It was baby blue with sparkles and super puffy on the bottom. She put her long blonde hair into a bun and curled a few strands she left out in the front. She didn't wear much makeup though, just mascara and some blush.

Finally she looked through her closet once more and dug out her shoes and purse. She looked at the clock on her wall and it was 6:30. She started daydreaming about the dance but snapped out of it when she heard her mom call her downstairs.

She walked down the stairs elegantly, smiling at her mother. Her moms face lit up when she saw her.

"You look beautiful Evelyn!" her mom said wiping a happy tear from her eye.

"Ooh let me get a picture of this!" her dad said as the bright flash of the camera blinded Evelyn.

"Dadddd" Evelyn groaned.

"So when is your date getting here?" her mom asked eagerly.

"Any minute now." Evelyn replied. "I'm going to wait in my room. Call me down when he gets here." Evelyn said as she ran back up the stairs.
