Dan heard sniffing and sobbing so he opened his eyes and found Josephine sleeping on him. He slowly moved her, putting her on the couch as he walked to the bedroom.

Annie was shaking while her eyes are closing. She had a bad dream.

He sat on the edge of the bed and stroked her head. " it's okay, baby. It's just dream. "

She whined and still closed her eyes. She hugged her doll tightly.

"come here, " he leaned on the headboard as he picked her on to his lap. He stroked her back soothing her and saying something.

Dan looked at the door as Josephine came in. She rubbed her eyes and was shocked to find Dan with Annie.

"she had a bad dream, " Dan said lowly.

Josephine nodded her head and walked towards the bed. She took another side and kissed her daughter. Her head was on Dan's shoulder.

They sat in silence. They didn't talk about what happened couple hours back. It's only 1 am so they only had 3 hours sleep.

They moved to his beach house the next day. Josephine didn't give much of conversation. She only talked when it needed and acted as usual.

Blue and white story house with open terrace and stairs to go down to the beach. It's sunny but not too hot.

"Mommy, come on," Annie was excited. She ran inside after Dan opening the door.

" how is it, Ann? " Dan stood in the hallway.

She came back with her big smile. " it's beautiful. I love it! "

He chuckled. "good. Want me to show your bedroom? "

She nodded excitedly. She took his hand and Dan lead the way leaving their suitcases behind.

Josephine walked inside after looking around the house. It's cute and beautiful. It's homey like their house even though not as beautiful as this house.

She walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge. It's full. She then thought about making lunch. She is hungry though.

She took breast chicken, peas, carrots and potatos. She pulled out the pans from its place. She felt her mouth watered imagining some crispy chickens with steamed vegetables. She can make another menu but it will be her main course.

"what are you doing? " Dan looked at Annie amused.

" I want to prepare before we go to the beach. "

" we go there after tidying up our wardrobes, baby, " he sat on the bed watching her excitedly pulled her clothes. "hey! You make a mess. "

Dan sat for a minute just to enjoy seeing her pulled out her cute tank top and shorts, her sunscreen and some cute bikinis.

"look! You don't wash your hands before, right? How about you go there, " he pointed at the adjoined bathroom. " and I will put your clothes back so Mommy don't get mad at you? "

"okay, " she smiled at him the ran inside.

"be careful! "

After tidying her case he put the clothes she took on the bed so she can choose what she want to wear.

"didn't you tired, baby? " he came then pick her up in his arms. She shook her had. "at least take a nap so you can run on the beach in full energy."

"okay, but I'm hungry, " she pouted.

"let's see what is your mommy doing in the kitchen. I hope she has already ordered something good, " they walked out from her room and went downstairs.

" it's smell good, " she beamed at him.

" I think mommy makes some delicious lunch, " he tickled her so she laughed hard.

"mommy, I am hungry, " she said startled Josephine as she did the plating.

"good. I am just finished this. Come on, let's eat! "

" spaghetti?" Dan saw a bowl as he raised an eyebrow at her.

" I kinda am craving it," Josephine shrugged.

He tasted it and nodded, " it's tasty. "

She smiled then they eat in comfortable silence.

Josephine walked towards the living room. She just finished doing the dishes while Dan brought Annie out of the dining room.

Josephine clasped her shorts and she didn't know why but she kinda felt nervous. The TV was on and playing Annie's favorite cartoon. Her feet stopped when she saw they were asleep.

Annie was hugging him and almost on top of him. She snuggled enough to feel the comfort Dan gave her. Just like they did last night but more intense.

Her face flushed remembering that night. How could she do that and making herself more humiliate kinda look? What did Dan think about her?

She sat beside them and changed the channel. She found some movie and sat silently.

She felt good and kinda comfy. It's fluffy and soft. She groped the fur and then sighed. She heard some noises and an excited squeal from a far.

She opened her eyes and knowing herself fell asleep, she skipped her movie. But at least she had a good nap.

She rubbed her eyes and tied her hair in a messy bun. She drank some water and put the glass on the sink then she walked towards the opened sliding door.

She leaned on it while crossing her hands watching them playing. Annie wore her cute bathing suit with skirt like tutu holding a small shovel and pointed it at Dan who wore a trunk chased around her.

Damn that abs! She still not used to his muscular body even though she always saw him chest naked. Even yesterday she didn't enjoy the view because well she didn't focus on it.

Should I give him an answer right now? She thought.

Then she came with an idea. She took a deep breath and pulled her shirt off and her shorts scattered on the floor. She will clear them later.

Annie's back was on the sea meanwhile Dan faced her. He still laughed trying to catch her making Josephine's lips turned upwards. They are like a true family having their time. The vacation.

"mommy! " Annie shrieked and hid behind her mother's legs.

She hugged them still carrying the shovel while giggling. Dan was making scary monster sound while looked at Annie. He didn't realise yet that Josephine wore a bikini. Her legs just like that when she wore shorts so it's no different to him.

They run in circle ignoring Josephine stood between them. They were into the game so she imagined herself as a statue. She needed a small torch and long fabric to wrap around her body and crown so she can turn into liberty statue.

Josephine caught Annie and pulled her close. She kissed her hair as she laughed at Dan. They still played but it was peek a boo when Annie hide her head in her mother's neck or they dodged seeing each other.

Annie then panted still hugging her mother. Her giggle was low but still she squealed when Dan poked her.

"enough, you two!" Josephine scolded them but then she laughed. "come on, baby! Don't sleep on me yet. "

"no! " she squirmed so Josephine put her on the ground. " I want to finish my castle. "

She then ran towards her project. The unfinished sand wall was still there. It's quite far from the water.

Josephine froze when she felt hands on her waist. They held her body close and she could feel stubble on her neck. His breath sent some chill in her body. It made her legs were weak and she closed her thighs while grabbing his hands.

" I don't know that you look ravishing in bikini. And the color just adding your sexy ass, " he whispered close in her ear and almost made her moan. "you smell good. "

She let out a raspy sound to calm down her beating heart but it was no use. His palms are big so she felt her fatty waist was in the hand of him. His thumbs stroked her ribs as his nose didn't get enough of her smell.

"what are you doing? " her breath was getting heavy as she squirmed in his embrace.

She opened her eyes to find her daughter was so engrossed with the sand and thank GOD it's private beach.

Dan ran faster to reach the float before it went far. Josephine already stood beside Annie and she realized that her small sandy castle already finished.

"you did good, baby, " she pointed at Annie's castle.

" I did, mommy, " she beamed at her mom and already forgot her float almost got in the middle of the sea.

Josephine smiled at her then her eyes wandered to find Dan. She saw that he walked towards them, holding Annie's donut float with his trunks and wet body. Don't forget when he shook his head to free his hair from the salty water.

He is H. O. T. With the capital to each letter. She felt her mouth watered with the sight of it and Dan found it amusing. He smirked at her reaction and his eyes turned dark.

What the fuck is he doing? She thought.

"the wind blew it to the water, " Annie whined as she hugged her donut to her body.

"you want to swim using your donut? " Josephine asked her daughter as she kneed on the sand.

"can I? " she gave them curious stare.

"of course, " Dan said as he wore the float on her body. " I'll keep you save, I promise! "

She beamed at him after he gave her the okay smile.

"okay, come on! " Annie took his hand so they can play in the water.

He winked at her and said "later" causing her to blush.

Annie and Dan played at the shore. Josephine could hear their laughing and Annie's shriek. The splashing never been missed. They surely enjoyed their time.

Josephine laid on the towel and not forget to wear the sunglasses. She could feel the striking warm of the sun. It was so long she had the sunbathing. She thanked GOD because she finally could have it today.

Josephine didn't hear someone stopped beside her because she was so engrossed with the sunbathing and really enjoyed it.

Her hands were on her stomach was grabbed, making her startled; then her right knee was bent in the air was touched making her gasp.

She put away the sunglasses on her head and looked who was the culprit. Her eyes rounded and then she asked, "what are you doing? "

"this is the second time you tempt me to do something you will addict, " he held her hand above her head and he firmly grabbed her thigh as he was on top of her.

She shifted her eyes only to find her daughter dug the sand. Maybe she wanted to find shells.

Her chest was up and down as he watched her nipples getting hard behind the thin cover.

Josephine stared at him long enough and to think how can he plan like that just to be with her.

"so, will I get your answer?" Dan patiently asked her again.

She sighed didn't look at him, " I don't know.. "

"you need more time than I think, " he muttered but she could hear it.

She was still under him and kept silent. His grip on her hands already loosened up. He looked down at her and he knew she was thinking again.

He let out a deep breath as he dropped his head on her chest making her gasp. She was making him frustrate day by day.

His hand was stroking her waist. Her hands automatically wrapped around him as one on his head and the other on his back. He breathed her scent as he held her body and kissed the valley of her breast. He could hear her heart was thundering.

"no shells! " Annie whined throwing her shovel away and ran towards them. " I want a snuggle too! "

Annie threw her body towards them and Dan caught her. Josephine sat up and hugged her daughter as she giggled happily.

" I have my mommy, " Annie kissed her mom's cheek as Josephine smiled lovingly at her. " and finally I have my daddy, " Annie circled her hands on Dan's neck tightly as if he would disappear.

" I love you, baby, " Josephine kissed her daughter's cheek making her giggle more.

Annie looked at him as she waited he would say the same. Dan smiled at her patience so he kissed the other cheek and said, " I love you too, princess."
