Webber Enterprises

It was a busy day at the building. The CEO of it was a tarantula named Cynthia Tarantula who was very strict and tough as nails when it came to running the company. She was now in the palms of her bodyguard and friend, Albert 'Rip' Grizzoli the Grolar Bear.

"Come on people. This company isn't going to run itself. Make sure you make every computer work properly." Cynthia said on Bert's paws. She then saw her daughter, Tara, on her computer and checks on her.

"How are you doing, daughter? Cynthia asked.

"I'm doing fine mom." Tara said while typing on her computer. Cynthia then sees coding on her computer and realized what she's doing.

"You're hacking again, aren't you?" Cynthia said.

"Maybe. What's the big deal." Tara said.

"You're supposed to be focused on fixing computers, not hacking them." Cynthia said.

"Hacking them helps me understand them. I can understand how machines work." Tara said.

"Whatever. You need to start focusing on your real work." Cynthia said they headed off. Bert saw this and just wish the two would stop fighting against each other.

Later at home, Bert was preparing dinner for the two when he heard the two fighting again.

"Oh boy." Bert thought as he placed the food at the table and decides to listen in.

"I've just had enough of you, Tara!" Cynthia said.

"You're the one that wants me to..." Tara began.

"You embarrassed me." Cynthia said.

"Just listen!" Tara shouts.

"I'm your mother! You listen to me!" Cynthia yelled.

"Ugh! This is so unfair!" Tara said.

"Ha! Unfair?" Cynthia scoffed.

"You're never there for me. This whole taking over the company is what you want. Do you ever bother to ask what I want? No. You walk around telling me what to do, what not to do, trying to make me be like you. Well, I'm not going to be you." Tara said.

"Oh, you're acting like a child." Cynthia said.

"And you're a monster. That's what you are! You don't even act like my mother anymore!" Tara said.

"You are my daughter! And as my daughter, you will take over my company!" Cynthia said to Tara.

"WELL MAYBE I DON'T WANT TO BE YOUR DAUGHTER!!!" Tara yelled at her mom. Cynthia looked shocked to hear her daughter say such a thing. Her face then turns to anger.

"Then leave. If you won't... then get out of my house." Cynthia said shocking Tara as she walks backwards.

"GET OUT!" Cynthia shouts. Tara looked horrified as she takes her laptop and runs out. She bumps into Bert who looked sad to see this.

"I'll show her! I'll show her how being a hacker is better than running some stupid company!" Tara thought as she continued on to who knows where. It then started to rain and she needed to find shelter.

She found a box to go in as she tries to stay warm. She now wonders what to do. She could of course hack a ATM and get money but still... what should she do away from her mom. Suddenly, a piranha in a hood walks up to her.

"Here. Are you hungry?" Piranha said holding out a taco for her. Tara blushes a bit and takes the taco and eats it.

"Thanks." Tara said. She got a good look at the Red-bellied Piranha. He was wearing a white shirt with black overalls. He was wearing a raincoat as well.

"Soooo... where are you from?" Piranha asked. Tara then looked at her reflection in the puddle.

"It doesn't matter. I'm not going back." Tara said as she opens up her laptop. Piranha then sees her work.

"You're good with computers?" Piranha asked.

"Yep. I'm a master hacker... if I do so say myself." Tara said.

"Cool! As a matter of fact... I'm with a team that's looking for someone with computer skills. What'd you say? Care to join?" Piranha asked holding his hand out.

Tara thought about. This could be the moment she wanted. A chance to use her hacking skills and put them to the test. A chance to be herself. She then looked up and him and shakes his hand. The two look at each other for a moment and blushed a bit.

"I'm in." Tara said.

"Great! I'm Pepé Piranha. What's your name?" Piranha said.

"Tara Tarantula." Tara said.

"Cool. I'm sure the others will like you, Webs." Piranha said as they walk. Tara then looked at him a for a moment.

"Webs?" Tara said.

"A nickname. Because you hack the World Wide 'Web'. What do you think?" Piranha said. She thought about it and smiled.

"I like it." Tara said. The two then headed off to the Bad Guys' hideout.

Present Day

It was New Years Eve and the Bad Guys were holding a party at their home. The Justice League and the some of the Bad Guys' parents came as well. All of Piranha's brothers came along with Wolf, and Snake's dads and Shark's family. Some of the JL heroes were there as well. Right now, Webs, Piranha, Cisco, and Chester were talking together.

"...and that's why Earth-47 is a great place to go. If you ever want to go to a dragon farm." Cisco explained.

"Wow, that's a good reason." Chester said.

"Whoa, that's so cool. I always wanted to ride a dragon." Piranha said.

"Pretty cool. I'll have try to go there sometime." Webs said.

"Maybe you should try working at S.T.A.R. Labs? We got a lot of tech and gadgets there." Cisco said.

"Sounds great, but I'll pass. I rather stay here. Besides, working at places isn't really my thing." Webs said.

"Why's that?" Cisco asked.

"Because... it reminds me on how my mom tried to get me to run a company." Webs said.

"Oh, what company?" Piranha asked. Webs never talked about her past much.

"Well... my mom kinda owns Webbers Enterprises." Webs said as she took a drink.

"Wait! Your mom is Cynthia Tarantula! She's the CEO of Webbers Enterprises, the biggest computer company in any city. Her book: Technology and Science Evolution, I read it 5 times. She's a genius." Chester said to her.

"Wow! I can't believe I didn't put the two together?" Cisco said.

"Not really. My mom didn't like me being a hacker and tried to make me like her to run the company, but I wanted to be a hacker." Webs said.

"Oh... sorry." Chester said.

"Yeah, we had a big argument and she kicked me out. Leaving me to defend myself." Webs said.

"Whoa... She kicked her own daughter out? That's cold." Chester said.

"Hey, look. Mothers and daughters fight. Believe me, it took a couple of years for Caitlin and her mom to make up but they did." Cisco explained.

"Easy for her, she's part of a superhero team." Webs said.

"Not true. You'll make up with your mom, I know it." Cisco said. Suddenly the doorbell rang, Webs and Piranha decided to go answer it. As they do, they see a big bear with a tarantula in its paw. A tarantula instantly recognizable. It was her mother!

"Mom! Albert!" Webs exclaimed.

"Hello, Tara." Cynthia said in Rip's paw as he waved with the other one.

"What are you doing?" Webs asked.

"I thought I come to see what my daughter was doing." Cynthia stated as Bert entered with her.

"Really? I thought I wasn't your daughter." Webs said.

"Webs, this is your mother?" Piranha asked.

"Webs?" Cynthia said.

"A nickname, mom." Webs said as her mom looked around and saw many people.

"This is a nice house you got. Bert, take a break." Cynthia said as she got off his paw. Bert takes a break and smiles at Webs.

"And who is this?" Cynthia asked looking at Piranha.

"This is Pepé Piranha. My husband." Webs said which surprised her mom.

"Husband? You got married?" Cynthia said.

"Yes, and we love each other very much." Webs said hugging him. Then Joy, Nellie, and Pepé Jr. came in the room.

"Mom, who's this?" Pepé Jr. asked.

"Mom? You have kids? So you had a wedding without inviting me?" Cynthia said.

"Like you would've come?" Webs said.

"Hey, what's going on?" Wolf asked as he, Snake, and Shark with Princess in his hands came in.

"Guys, this my mom, Cynthia. Mom, this is Wolf, Snake, Shark, and our adopted daughter, Princess." Webs said. Princess looked at her and giggled.

"Grandma." She said. But Cynthia wasn't affected.

"So I see your still working as a hacker." Cynthia said.

"Yeah, and I love doing it. I'm finally get to be me." Webs said.

"I still can't believe you're still a hacker. Taking over the company was a honor, who am I to give it to now?" Cynthia said.

"I dunno, your other workers?" Webs said.

"I wanted it to be you, and instead you chose a crime hacker." Cynthia said.

"Choosing to be a hacker was the best decision I could ever make. Better than being with a mother who wouldn't except that." Webs said. As they talked, they failed to see the chandelier above starting to crack, soon to fall on them.

"Really? Says the one who didn't invite me to their wedding. Or tell me about having grandkids? Or telling them about me? Some mother are you." Cynthia said.

"YOU DON'T GET TO JUDGE ME! Not after when you kicked me out!" Webs yelled. The Bad Guys were seeing how bad this was going. Shark then noticed the chandelier finally snapped and began to fall on the tarantulas.

"HEY! LOOKOUT!" Shark yelled. Webs and Cynthia look up to see it coming down.

Webs pushes Cynthia away as Princess runs to cover Webs. Shark then grabs the chandelier with a water hand just in time. He laid it on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Webs asked her mom who nodded. Wolf and Snake check on Princess.

"You okay, Princess?" Wolf asked. She nodded 'yes'.

"That was dangerous kid." Snake said.

"I was trying to protect Webs." Princess said looking at Webs who smiled. Cynthia saw this and started to change her view of her.

"I thought you guys fixed the chandelier!" Wolf said looking at Guts Man.

"We did! Or at least we thought we did." Guts Man said.

"Either way, at least no one got hurt." Snake said as they head back to join the others, leaving Webs and her mother.

"Thank you... Tara. I wasn't sure you save me." Cynthia said.

"Ah, we may fight but you're still my mom." Webs said. Cynthia smiled after hearing that.

"Look, I'm sorry. Sorry for forcing you to do something against your will. I should've cared more about what you wanted. It was my pride and selfishness that got in the way. Will you forgive me?" Cynthia said. Webs looked at her and smiled.

"Of course I forgive you, mom." Webs said. Both daughters hug as their bond has been mended.

"Hey guys! Come on, the countdown's starting!" Freddy Lupin said as the two tarantulas join them.

"HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!!" Everyone shouts. Fireworks exploded outside and everyone celebrated a new year. Webs and her mother finally made up.

One more chapter after this. A heads up: the next one is going to have Princess having a cool, good, hot, and dark boyfriend. You'll see who I have chosen. Hint: he's a type of Pokémon. Try to guess. I Dare you.
