I woke up on something soft and silky smooth. My wolf picks up a scent that i don't recognize, I turn around and when I try to sit up pain shoot through my neck. I hiss and when I touch it, it hurts even more. The door opens and in come Adam Parker. And it hits me.

Oh my god, I'm in Adam Parker's bed. I slept in Adam Parker's bed. I'm in Adam Parker's room.

"Um... What am I doing here?" I ask in a low voice. He comes over and sits on the corner of the bed. He sighed, looked at me and said "How's your neck?". I furrowed my eyebrows in confusing and then I remember what happened. How he's my mate, how he marked me and now I'm here. I touch my neck and look at him. He's worried about me. "Well, um, it still kind of hurts but it's bearable" I said. I looked down and see that I'm still wearing the same clothes I wore the day I bumped into him.

The bed shifts a little bit and I look up to see that he's more close to me. "There's a shower in there", he says pointing to a door which I guess is the bathroom, "you can take some of my old clothes, they should fit you but I'm a guy" we both chuckle. "Thanks but I think I'll just go home and pick up some of my clothes" I say while putting a strand of hair behind my ear. He looks at me and in a deep tone he tells me, "You can't leave, this is your new home and you're staying here". I now realize that I'm in a new pack, once he marked me I can't be in my old pack. Oh no, Emma. I can't leave Emma, she's my best friend and I can't lose her.

"What do you mean I can't leave? I'm pretty sure that I can go to my house and pick up some clothes without dying". I say in an irritated tone. Great, my first day here and I'm already having an argument with my mate. Just great. "You can't leave because I'm your mate and I say you can't leave". He says and crosses his arms. "Plus you're gonna be more safe here that there." He says 'there' as if it were some kind of murder house for wolves. "There where my best friend helped me on everything when I had nobody, so I'm sorry if you don't like it there but I'm going." I say and get up from the bed, ignoring the pain in my neck. I feel a hand on my arm turning me around making me face to face with Adam.

"I said you can't leave". He said, his eyes turning a bit black, of course he's mad. "Or what? You're gonna pull the mate card again? Please, I can do what I want whenever I want." I said crossing my arms this time. He was gonna say something but the door opened and in came a guy who looked about our age with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Hey Adam, they're some peo- Riley?" I turn around and see that it's Tyler. "Tyler?" Me and Adam say at the same time. I've seen Tyler in school but I've never talked to him. He and Adam have been best friends for as long as I can remember. "What are you doing here?" Tyler asks me and I realize that he probably doesn't know that I'm his mate. When I don't say anything he looks from me to Adam and from Adam to me. And then he gets it.

"Oh" Tyler says. "What are you doing here, Tyler?" Adam asks standing next to me. "Your dad wants you to go to the meeting that they're having in the conference room" Tyler says. I look at Adam and he rolls his eyes. "Stupid meetings" he mutters, he scratches his neck and sighs. "Tell him I'll be there in a minute".

Tyler gives him a nod and walks out closing the door behind him. Adam turns to me and then walks over to what I'm guessing is his closet. He pulls out a shirt and a jacket and walks over to me. "This should cover you, considering your small" he says. "Hey! I am not small. I'm 5'0 I'm average height" I tell him a little bit annoyed. "Yeah and I'm not a wolf". He says with sarcasm. I roll my eyes at him.

"The bathroom's over there, like I said, and here are some clothes". He hands them over to me and his hand brushes mine, sending those familiar sparks. I take the clothes and look at him. "Don't go anywhere" he says in a hushed tone. My god, no wonder girls go crazy for him. My heart flutter as I heard him say that. "Can't promise anything" I say in the same tone as him. He stares at me for a moment and I'm hypnotized by his eyes.

He then goes out the door and I hear something being locked. I run over to the door and turn the knob. "Adam! You can't keep me locked in here!" I scream as I keep trying to open the door. "There some snacks in the night stand and a bottle of water" he says through the other side of the door. "Adam! Open this door right now!" I scream pounding the door. "Sorry princess, but I got a meeting to go to" he says and I hear his footsteps as he leaves.

I go and take a long shower. I put on his clothes and my wolf picks up his scent immediately. Oh he smells so good. I walk out of the bathroom, take a chair and position it so it was facing the door. My plan was to wait for Adam so I could give him a piece of my mind when he got here. He can't just lock me in here! What if there's a fire! I sure as hell don't plan on dying just yet!

I grab the bottle of water and sit on the chair.
