Rean POV's

"Is it okay for me to get money this early? I haven't even done the job yet" I answered to Ozpin as he gives me some of it which was called Lien, it's weird how it was just basicly stacks of plastic cards. Not gold coins like Mira.

"Yes, after all you did have few possession, so it's better if you used it to buy some clothes and items for your daily livelihood. " He said with a slight smile. 

Apparently after I woken up and got to Ozpin office, I was given some money to buy some items in the town. Today was day-off, so there are no class yet till tomorrow.

"Thank you very much then." I answered to him.

"You're welcome, ah by the way, how's your accomodations? is it to your liking?"

"Yes they were good, the room was comfortable. And the Scroll you've given me has been quite useful" I said. 

I did have some time to check the function of the Scroll, apparently it was almost the same as ARCUS II, it can be used as a normal telecomunication device, it can takes photo, used for sending message, and it has some gaming applications, which I haven't checked yet. The map function however only can be used on the academy grounds.

"I'm glad it was to your liking, now why don't you try to familiarize yourself? Maybe walk around the academy? " He suggested. 

"Yeah, that was my initial plan, maybe I'll even familiarize myself around the city. By the way, where is Glynda" I asked him.

"She was working on papers for you position, after all tomorrow you're going to start teaching."

"Makes sense, I'll be leaving then, see you later, Principal Ozpin" I said as I leave his office.

"Yes, see you later, Rean" 

---a few moments later---

Walking around the campus, I've got to say, this place is bigger than Thors, the main avenue was ginormous, it has a big road on the middle of it which connects to the gate to the main building. There was also a tall Beacon Tower, which near it was a CCT  which can be used as a wireless  communication device to other kingdoms. It was impressive that this school has this much facilities. It has a a large, formal dining room running down the length of a cloister-like hall. A Normal Library which some student were there studying most likely, it even has it's own ballroom. As I walked around, I stumbled upon a cliffside that overlooks the city across the sound. At the top edge of the cliffside are several large, circular aerial docking bays, must be used for those airship.

'Thought while I'm here I want to try something...' I muttered, which then I touched my outfit, focusing on it, when suddenly a light covered my outfit, which suddenly changed into a different white outfit. 

"Huh, as I expected, apparently I can changed the Black outfit with a White outfit that Rean previously used that were given by his sister which was infused by the Hexen clan magic. Must've been the magic additional abilities" 

It got me thinking, what happened to his families and friends, were they okay after the Great Twilight?? 

'Gah...I need to focus, I can think about that later,I should continue exploring first ' I thought to myself as I continued walking around.

As I explored the interior of the academy , I passed one of it's the lecture hall which has quite a small mess of papers, inside of it was one of the teacher. I approached and greeted him. Apparently his name was Bartholomew Oobleck and he teaches history, he has this quick manner of speaking and his extreme hyperactivity. His love for coffee and how he has green haired and of course wear glasses reminds me of Machias, but he has a tendency to talk too much when discussing history which reminds me of Lysander a lot. 

He views history as an important way to prevent the repetition of past mistakes, saying the advancement of knowledge is worthy of being referred to as fighting, for it will better prepare Humanity's future in the fight for survival against the Grimm, which is a good kind of thinking. 

Sadly I don't have too much time talking because I need to still explore the place, so he gives me some history knowledge and information about this world and other things through Scrolls. I should check it later. After that encounter, I arrived at an Amphitheater, from the information I got, this was also used for the Combat Class and other activities. The weird thing is there are no extraculicular activities, maybe most likely by how focused this academy only on fighting Grimm that they didn't think about trying to make the students doing other things.

Apparently there are two students training right now, one is a boy with blonde hair, using a sword and shield as his weapons, and one is a girl with red hair in armor, using a shield and spear. Looking at the current training, the boy was was definitely inexperienced, but he was trying hard to improve, while the girl was most likely helping the boy. Not wanting to interrupt, I left the both of them as I haven't toured the city yet.

---Vale City---

The city was quite big, it reminded me of Crossbell but it doesn't have that many skyscraper and tall buildings. Looking at the commercial district there are the usual shops like a Bakery, a bookstore called Tukson Book Trade, a Bank, Clothing stores and many more. But there are some unfamiliar store like From Dust Till Dawn, which sells dusts, crystals, books, tools, cartridges, and other stuff. Not wanting only there for windowshopping, I decided to buy a newspaper called Vale Times which I could read it later. 

Then I stopped at a clothing store, after all I don't have that much clothing when I came in this world. Inside of it were some people looking and trying some clothes, but there are some that catches my eye, like a particular brunette long haired girl with what I assume was rabbit ears talking with her friend which had short dark-brown hair, a black beret and a sunglasses with various accessories, which most likely shows her love on fashion.

So that was Faunus huh, I heard that there were hated and usually treated like freaks, but why? Hell if I were to be honest, those animals traits would make them have more physical advantages againts normal human and could even make them look even cuter if does look like that, some people are dumb I guess

"Hey you! what are you looking at?" the girl in beret said to me realizing that I was looking at them. Which makes her friend look at me with a nervous look.

"Oh, uh.. it's nothing, it's my first time seeing a Faunus." I answered them.

"First time? and what do you mean by that?" She replied with a little intimidating tone. While the rabbit girl grows more anxious.

"It's just as I said, though having an ear like that could be really useful, you can hear more things better than most people, including me, infact it makes me a little jealous maybe" I said with a smile while scratching my cheek. 

The girl wearing a beret suddenly laugh at what I'm saying while the rabbit girl was suprised by what I just said.

"Hahaha, oh man, jealous? now that was new. I never expected someone to said something like that, it's soo cheesy" She said while still laughing. Cheesy huh, some part of Rean personality really imbedded into me, it's a little embarassing to be honest.

"C-come on Coco, don't be rude like that..." The rabbit girl said while looking a lot less anxious than before.

"Right right, sorry, so, my name is Coco Adel, and she is Velvet Scarlantina, what about you?" She asked me.

"Rean Schwarzer, nice to meet you both" I introduced my name to them.

"So, Rean huh? I've never seen you around, where did you come from?" She asked, it's out of the question of telling them the truth, so maybe I'll just use this lie for now and in the future.

"I was living alone in a remote location in Mistral, and I come to Vale for a job which apparently I was accepted as a helper for the Combat Class at Beacon." I said, apparently Mistral has an eastern culture and it fits because of how Eight Leaves One Blade were originally an eastern-like swordmanship style on Zemuria.

"Whoa, I see, but for a helper on Combat Class? you're really on the young side and not bad looking either." She said with a little teasing tone.

"Come on now Coco, that's just rude, s-sorry about my friend here" Velvet said while apologized a little to me.

"Haha, it's okay, she wasn't wrong, I'm still 20 after all, and I'm used to it."

"Still, by you're being here must be want to buy some new clothes, want some help of picking some of it?" She offered me.

"Well if you don't mind, sure." I accepted her offer. We then look and try some clothes for me, even though I don't really need to be fashionable that much. But indeed for my personal pick I went to buy some glasses, wearing them apparently makes me feel more focused. I tried one of the clothes Coco picked for me and apparenly, it looks similar to Rean's old casual clothes, which was a normal collared shirt with outer vest which I want to use the red one. Of course I want to try it with the glasses I picked.

"So how do I look?" I asked them

"Looking good there! and the glasses does fit!" Coco complimented.

"Y-yeah. And the red color really suits you Rean. " Velvet added.

"Thanks, well then I'll pick this one and some other as well"

After buying some new clothes, we then decided to have something to eat before returning to the campus. We then arrived at a local cafe which where we have some food and chat for some time. Apparently Coco and Velvet are second years which Coco herself was the leader of the CFVY team. They have of course have some experience working together at some missions for increasing their ability as a Huntsmen and Huntresses. After finished eating, the path to academy was quite peaceful. They then said goodbye to me as I took a different path to the dormitory which my room was located.

Apparently I've realized that my room which are in the second floor, the first floor are the students dorm. On my way to the upper floor, I noticed two students talking to each other, one had a neck-length black hair wearing a red cloak, while the other has a long blonde hair wearing a brown button up jacket. As they about to passed me, they looked at me, curious as most likely they didn't expect a new face in their dorm.

"Good evening" I said to them.

"Oh hi! Umm, who are you? and what are you doing in here?" The girl in red asked me, while the long haired girl looked at me with a confused look,

"I'm a new staff of the campus, apparently I was given a room upstairs for my lodgings." I answered them.

"Huh, you're quite young for a new staff, that's new" the blonde haired guy said to me

"Haha, trust me, you're not the only one said that to me today. So uh, I need to put all the items I just buy to my room so if you'll both excuse me" 

"Oh, sure, see you later then." The girl in red said while I'm going to my room on the upper floor.

--Few hours later--

Well, today was quite some day, Vale and Beacon are indeed a big place. The food wasn't so bad, all the items and clothes I've bought already tidied up, and the people around was pretty decent. Though I can't blame some students suprised for me to work here, and also I've familiarize the locations quite a bit. I've also got the time to read and learn some new stuff given by Professor Oobleck, and some materials from Glynda through Scrolls.

Still tomorrow is the day of the job huh, it makes me nervous a little bit, but I hope I can do well and gave some good impressions tomorrow.
