Class in Session!

A/N : Maybe from now on, I'll be using a 3rd POV instead. Plus i've changed some part of the chapter 0, enjoy.

3rd POV

"Phew, that's enough for it I guess" Rean said to himself, stopping his training. A little bit exhausted.

He was waking up early and goes to the cliffside, which he tries his abilities and techniques, after all today was the day that he helps teach the students of Beacon about combat, so he familiarize his new body, trying all the abilities of the original Rean had.

"So far I've been able to use some of his crafts, some of his ultimate abilities was hard though for me to execute, including the 7th form of Eight Leaves One Blade signature moves." He thought to himself.

He thought all night even if he was able to kill the previous Grimm, it would have been naive to think that he can use all of Rean's ability, and to that matter his guess was spot on. He found out by trying to try his body capabilities on early morning. It makes sense that he can't access all of the body current abilities, after all it wasn't his true body, which makes him thinking that he needs to train himself if he wants to use the full power that was within him.

He was also trying to train how to use the arts which was the magical powers from his battle orbment, and he gain some interesting results. Even if the arts looked powerful, it won't always packed quite a punch. And using arts felt like some energy was drained from him, the energy itself wasn't exactly his stamina, it was something else. Which he concludes that he needs to use them sparely, and he was also trying to test the theory, can the arts become more powerful if he trains it also. But before doing that he needs to find a way to replenish his energy for using arts.

"Still, I think today progress was pretty good, I don't know how powerful these students was so training here is the right choice for me."

He was in an unfamiliar world, which even with yesterday tour by himself, he's still not used to it. And to add, he haven't seen the abilties of the people here and even the full abilities of the Grimms so he doesn't underestimate anything even if Rean's body were pretty powerful.

But the number one question still remains, why is he in Rean's body, why is he able to use even Valimar. He remembers that at the end of Rean story were two possibilities, which in the end he was able to stop the conflict with his friends. in which the Curse of Erebonia was erradicated, the curse itself affected the entire country and makes people suddenly motivated to do any strife, war, and other atrocities and was already at the start of a great war. But the methods of ending it were different.

One was a good outcome which the problem ended in a happy ending even it there are the aftermath. But the other....in which Rean himself sacrificed himself to take it to himself the entire curse out of the country, or maybe from his world.

And judging that the first time he awake with the current outfit being the black one while he wears on that conflict and the appearance of Valimar itself makes him really worried, thinking along the line.

"Is the curse, or worse, the mastermind... is in this world?" He muttered to himself.

He afraid the possibilities of that being the truth, but he tries to not overthinking that for now because of two things.

One, he was only recently arrived in this world and he haven't heard any news about any conflict or the likes of it which he don't need to act at all at the current time.

Two, well, he had a class to teach today so that was his first to do list, after all it's his job.

"Well, time to clean and prepare myself I supposed." He said, going to his room to prepare.

---Few moments later, at the Dining Hall---

"Those gazes are piercing at me which if it were literal, I would've became Swiss cheese by now... " Said Rean to himself, eating at the cafetaria, realizing that a lot of the students are staring at him. He was expecting the stares, but that doesn't mean that he's welcoming any of it.

He also can't blame them though, an unknown guy which was almost their age, not wearing the same uniform as they are eating alone. Anyone would be curious about the man identity. It doesn't help that a particular combat instructor was approaching him.

"Ah, here you are, as I figured." Glynda said to him while taking a seat in front of him.

"Yes, I'm just having some breakfast after waking up a little too early." He replied to her.

"So you're waking up early in the morning, though why? The combat class didn't start at the early morning, did you already checked the schedule I've given you through your Scroll?" She asked.

"Well, I did already checked it, but I was doing a little training at the cliffside earlier, that area was really quiet in the morning so it was a best place to train and helps me concentrate. After all I can't lax on the job on the first day so it would've helped for me to freshen my body."

Glynda was impressed by his eagerness to prepare his job.

"I see, that was a very responsible mindset you have, and I have heard yesterday you've toured the academy and Vale by yourself, correct?" She asked again.

"Yeah, I need to be able to familiarize myself to this place after all, Vale was a nice decent city, and I've also had the time to meet one of the teacher yesterday, he did helped me by giving some basic materials and knowledge about the situation of Remnant, histories about it and the current situation, even some parts about the faunus civil rights and the white fang situation. Though even if I did only grasping some parts of it, I have the basic knowledge on the go. Plus Beacon Academy was indeed magnificent from it's technologies tp the size and the facilities of it." He answered about his experience yesterday in some nutshell.

He intended to gain as many basic knowledge as possible of this world if he didn't want to look dumb by asking basic questions to people.

Glynda was suprised and quite impressed by Rean's overall as a person, at first she didn't really trust him completely with the job, even with the story that can't be proved at the current time, he's still an unknown man that might have some secrets.

The only reasons she would even accepted him for the job was the wisdom Ozpin had and a small showcase of his combat abilities which are impressive for his young age, but judging by what he has done so far, he was genuinely trying to learn about everything, even if it were new and unfamiliar to him. And even if that makes it looks a little suspicious, his current action by telling all this without anything to hide about what he done and without any acting was making him less suspicious.

"That's quite impressive, I didn't expect you would go that far on your own, I hope you can impress all of us in the future" Glynda said with a small smile.

"It's nothing. It's fair after everything I've given even if I were a total stranger." He replied while scratching his head.

After finished his food, as he was about to go.

"So what did you want to do next? Class isn't going to start anytime soon after all." Glynda asked.

"Maybe I'll go to my room to prepare while also ready some materials that I haven't been able to read, I can also find my way to the class later." He replied.

"I see, don't be late then, see you later Rean."

"Yes, see you later, Instructor Glynda." He said while he parted with her.

The talk was brief but it wasn't bad, Rean thought that Glynda will be very strict person to others at the first time he met her, but she was quite okay and can also be honest about her thinking if people we're trying their best at least. Still, he can't helped but a little nervous about later.

He had absolutely no idea how to teach. He did have Rean's original memory while he was an instructor, but his true self doesn't have that experience. The ability he has was only for defending himself and also was quite frankly could even be an unknown factor to the student. And at the current time, even if he read some information about the student, it wouldn't matter until he sees it with his own eyes. After all, experience is the best teacher, but getting information about them might not be a bad idea too.

He then spends his time on his room, reading some information on his students capabilities, which he then realized that a lot of the students will have a lot more different fighting methods because of the variety of the semblance, which means for each student, they might need a different training methods and different homeworks to improve their own abilities.

Time passed and it was almost time for him to assist the Combat Class. He prepares his ARCUS II Orbment and his sword then he goes into the Amphitheater's door and opened it using his scroll by scanning it into the identification slot. It was a great way to have a system like this throughout the campus, mainly because it would cost some time if there were a breach to enter some rooms.

Going inside of it he found Glynda at the podium, preparing for lecture.

"Ah, you're here, perfect. The class was about to starts" She said.

"Yeah, I'm glad it hasn't started yet" He replied. Glynda looked at him a little curious.

"Say, why are you wearing glasses suddenly? Do you have a poor eyesight?"

"Well, when I'm using this, it somehow calms me a lot when I'm teaching." He replied while pointing at his glasses.

"I see, though your choice of weapon was pretty simple at first glance, looking at your previous fights which you're able to control fire, and because you did explain in your world there aren't any Semblance or Aura, is that your weapon has secret gimmicks ?" Glynda asked curious about his arsenal.

"No, as you can see this is a normal longsword called tachi." He said unsheating the weapon and show it to her.

"It doesn't have any gimmicks to it, weapons with gimmicks are uncommon and usually used by elite mercenaries that usually known as jaegers. And as for the fire ability, I don't have any Semblance or Aura on that matter, in my world, those didn't exist. So you could say it comes from within me and also mostly that was the ability of my swordsmanship" He continued to explained. Glynda accepted his reasoning but she had something to ask him.

"If that's the case, is that has something to do with that thing you showed us before which was the battle orbments called ARCUS II?."

"Yes, you could say that, while I can't use magic on my own, ARCUS does helped me uses Orbal Arts which was almost the same as what you can call magic. But depending on what elemental crystal are used which are called Quartz, it will have different elemental effects and even will have different physical or magical enchantments." He then showed his own ARCUS II Orbment. This makes Glynda suprised at the sheer posibilities of different type of magic what person can uses, that was again are magic which was common and infact are a better version of Dust.

"I see, Can you demonstrate it?" She asked with a serious tone.

"Sure, like this, watch. ARCUS....activate!" He said while focusing on his ARCUS II and targets a wall, while holding his hand up front, the ARCUS then suddenly shines and then suddenly summons a sharp rock that launched itself into the wall.

Glynda was really shocked by ability that Rean's just demonstrate. It was the truth. If battle orbments and sepith was common in this world, it could made dust obsolete in the long run.

"But sadly as you know, the quartz are created by septiums which can only be mined in my world or dropped by the monster there, plus the one I used and even in my world can't be mass produced because it's simply just raw materials that can't be reproduced" He added, which does makes Glynda a little disappointed.

"Also, the potency of these Orbal Arts depends on each people. The pattern of the Battle orbment of each people will be different depending on their compability, so some people will able to produce more damage when using this arts. Myself aren't really those people, meaning I mostly relied on my Swordsmanship." Rean explained. Glynda was somewhat satisfied with the overall explanation of the battle orbment system.

Moments later, students began to trickle in, coming in groups.

He noticed they were all dressed in their own battle gear, not in their school uniforms and carrying their own weapons. As they walked in, they stared at Rean, noticing that he was the person on the Dining Hall that was eating alone. The students was definitely curious, some are speculating that he may be a new student. Or some are speculating that he was an alumni from Beacon Academy itself.

Ignoring the whispers of the students, he noticed all the weapons that the students were carrying, almost every single of them are different and mostly looked like it has it's own gimmicks. Some of them had a decent physique which shown that they had undergone basic training, mostly.

And those gimmicks are more likely making the weapons have the abilities turns into different firearms.

Except one person that holds a sword and a shield, which he noticed yesterday training with his friend, which makes Rean wondered, why did he choose a weaponry with no gimmick even though himself was unexperienced?. Back in Zemuria, Kurt was using twin blades back in Erebonia and he had already some particular skill from the Vander style to back it up. But this one is just feeling too forceful.

One of the teammates of the previous guy with raven hair that has a pink hightlight that was wearing a green and white clothing that reminds him of the clothes that the people from Calvard uses. His choice of weapon was twin daggers that also doubled as submachine guns. And by his form, Rean deducted that he has experience in unarmed combat, reminding him of the Taito style.

Near him was a short haired girl with orange hair, she wears a collared black sleeveless vest and a white sleeveless t-shirt. She was holding a giant hammer that judging by the shape of it would likely turned into a grenade launcher. She looked quite cheerful and the go lucky type, but it shown that she also understand how to utilize her abilities.

And then near the blonde boy was a familiar face, the red haired girl in a red and gold armor that helped him on his training yesterday, holding a shield and spear which the spear itself can turned into a rifle. Rean has no doubt that she was the most talented out of all of them. She had a good form and mostly had the experience. She was indeed on a completely different level compared to her peers.

Trying to focus back to the other students, He turned his attention to the rest of the students. They all stood gathered in front of the entrance. He then noticed also some familiar faces.

One of them was a girl with blonde long hair that he met yesterday, wearing gauntlets that also has a shotgun installed to it. Which was the simple definition of loud and effective. She looked like the spirited, brash, and in-your-face type. She then looked back at him with a smile this time and was like he was being sized up. Rean thought that in some case, she might challenge him to a spar sooner or later. Standing close to her was her other teammates.

One of her teammate was a girl that had a silver hair tied back in a ponytail, wearing a light blue dress. She had a royal bearing and that bordered on haughtiness, plus she was looking at him which clearly was evaluating him. She had a simple rapier that doubled with a revolver sheated on her waist.

Then another one was a girl with wavy black hair and wears a black, buttoned vest with coattails and a single silver button on the front, plus a black ribbon on her head which for some reason was twitching a little bit. She holds a fairly short sword sheathed and a gimmick which could be a normal handgun, this makes Rean curious about her abilities because the blade was almost the same as his tachi. Rean also noticed that she was also looking at him and mainly his weapon, with a look that she had seen a weapon like his before.

And the last one was a girl with neck-length black hair with red tips which he also met yesterday, she was younger that all the rest of the students, wearing a black and red dress. Her weapon was a scythe which looks quite intricate in design. Rean then realized judging by her look of curiosity, she's the type of the overly energetic person. Which will generally followed by an unstoppable stream of questions if she was even more curious. Having observed the entire class, Rean's attention was directed to Glynda as she was about to say something.

"Attention students! Today, we have a new announcement. From today, you all will have a new co-instructor that will help me teach the Combat Class, which after a week, he will become a full fledge instrutor on this Class, while myself will teach other subjects. And as you all already aware, yes, he is the co-instructor. " Glynda announced to her students about the young man will be their new instructor in a week. A lot of the students are quite surprised at the announcement which makes them whispered around themself.

"Now, you could introduced yourself." She said to Rean, making him walk in front of her.

'Okay, here goes nothing...'

"Hello everyone, my name is Rean Schwarzer, starting today I will become your co-instructor on this combat class. So if someone had a question, you can just ask me." Rean introduced himself to the rest of the class.

The girl with white hair raises her hand.

"Yes?" He asked while looked at the girl.

"Excuse me instructor, if I don't mind asking, why is someone as young as you had to become our co-instructor?" She asked with a little judgmental tone. He can't blame them because mostly the intructor he saw was older than he was.

"You're Weiss Schnee right? That's a good question, I've realized some of you may wondered why am I are in this position of helping teaching you all, even though indeed I was still 20 years old. And yes, to be honest, I've still got a lot to learn as an instructor myself, but that's no excuse." He said stopped for a while.

"You could say today class will also a way to prove and measuring my skill as an instructor. So I need you all to watch me and decide for yourself too. Whether or not I'm worthy to being YOUR co-instructor and YOUR future combat class instructor. After all for this one week, I'm just going to be a co-instructor, and if I can't do my job right, it's fair for me to resigned" He finished answering with a honest tone, which makes the girl quite surprised by the humble honesty of her new co-instructor and the resolute mind of even resigning if he doesn't do well.

Glynda was satisfied at his answer which showing no intention of showing off and indeed focused on doing the job right. The other students was also surprised that he was basicly gives them the ability to decide for themselves whetner he was worthy or not.

"Okay, the question will be done later, but for now, let's review last week materials." Glynda cut the questioning section.

The following ten minutes focused on Glynda recaping about the management of aura, and the previous result of some basic sparring.

"Okay now for the reminding time of the class, we will skipped to our sparring session to evaluate each of your growth. Okay now for the matching will be." Glynda said to her students, which suddenly cut by someone.

"Excuse me, Instructor Glynda, but may I taken the opportunity to be their sparring opponents?" Rean asked her fellow instructor, which makes her a bit surprised but understand his wanting of knowing the abilities of his students.

"Well...Of course, which one will be your opponent then?"

"Actually, what I meant by their was all of them, one by one." He added. This surprised the entire class and Glynda herself. Some part of them felt like he was underestimate them.

"Sorry but, are you sure? It's not wise to doing continuous fight by yourself, without any rest."

"Yes, I'm pretty sure, not only it would helped me evaluate their overall abilities and come up with a helping way to improve those abilities, it would also be a way to proof myself to them. If things goes south then I guess we can just stop then and there." He explained to her and his own students which makes some of them pumped up with curiosity and eagerness to know what their co-instructor really got. Glynda was worried about the situation, but nonetheless she was a little curious too about his full ability.

"I see, okay then, I'll allow it." She acknowledges the co-insructor request.

"Okay now, who's first... you, the guy with the mace, Cardin Winchester right? how about it?" He said pointing to Cardin while walking into the platform.

"Wrong choice, don't blame me if you get hurt. It will end quickly after all." He said with a cocky attitude underestimating Rean while also going to the platform, removing his glasses.

The aura counter was shown with on Rean side doesn't have any aura meter.

"Um, Co-Instructor Rean, your aura meter doesn't shown anything on it" The student in red hair and armor asked.

"Don't worry about that, all of you just think that the meter was normal and it'll be fine" Rean replied to her.

"Heh, your funeral." Cardin arrogantly remarks.

Rean then pulled out his blade and prepared his usual stance.

"Never underestimate your adversaries, or it will go fatal" Rean said with a stern face that makes Cardin quite irritated.

"Okay! Get set? BEGIN!!" Glynda announced, starting the spar.

-- few minutes later --

Unbelieveable.

That was the word that explained the current situation.

A lot of them was indeed still underestimating the co-instructor. Either from his age, or his normal look.

In less than two minute, Cardin was face down flat on the ground, with small aura intact and fully exhausted.

The first attack in which Cardin rush to him was met with a side dodge then a direct slash on him, then the next attack was parried easily and countered by another direct slash, and then finished with a palm strike which knocks him away.

Glynda stopped the match and declared the winner, and then some students were taking turns on the one on one spar, in which then was just a total sweep.

The white coated co-instructor took on every single fully armed-student, and defeated them with each precise slashes from his blade. He managed to counter against every single methods of attacks, melee attacks, gunfires, even their own semblances. But none have even able to hit a single blow. All of those attacks are either parried, dodged, deflected, blocked, and countered while himself was showing a multitude of his precise swordsmanship abilities and some of a martial arts abilities. Also before even he finished the battles, he tooks a few looks at his opponents as if he was reading them like an open book. Rean himself was really suprised at how far he can use his abilities, even if some of it was still unaccessable. Plus the battle was helpful not only to understanding himself, but to understanding each of his students strenghts and weakness.

Team RWBY was astounded by Rean's abilities and all the doubt of unskilled young co-instructor was gone. While Yang and Ruby was lookin excited and can't wait to test their abilities against him, Weiss and Blake thought otherwise. Weiss was fully impressed by his high concentration and the focus of each attacks on handling his opponents calmly, it was a graceful and clean showcase of his skills. And Blake was speechless, the first time she saw him wielding that particular blade reminded her of Adam, and the quick attacks and swift execution of the attack was similar, but something was different. His attacks was focusing on ending the battle without fatally injuring his students and even with such precision, there were no malice or hatred on each slashes, it was calm as water. Blake thought in the end that he may even more skilled than Adam because of how he actually looked like hiding his full abilities and from his initial introduction, she concluded that he was a decent man.

Team JNPR was also dumbfounded by how much of a power he displayed. Jaune thought that not only he was a pretty humble teacher, he was really skilled and by how much abilities he shown, he doesn't see any indication of a semblance being used so far, which really impressed by how can a person be so much skilled without using a semblance. While Nora was enjoying her co-instructor handling all of her classmates. Ren was just silent by how much proficient his martial arts and swordplay that he shown. It reminds him of how the people at Anima fights, which makes him wondered if he was from Mistral. Pyrrha couldn't believe what she saw, the sheer abilities her co-instructor had, even if he was showing not all of it, even surprising was his abilities to handle a lot of variety of attacks and abilities shows that he was really experienced, as if he was already faced a lot of battles.

All that left was their teams.

The RWBY team goes first with Ruby Rose, their leader on the first round.

"Hello, Co-instructor Rean! Nice to meet you! Lets have a good match!" She greeted him with a smile.

"The same goes to you too, Ruby Rose." He replied with a smile.

Then the match begun.

She vanished into roses petal, speeding towards him, when she suddenly appeared behind him and about to slash with her scythe, he ducked the attacks and slash in a circular move which hits Ruby aura a bit, making her suprised at his reaction. The other students are surprised by how he was able to counter such a speedy attack.

She then tries another way by changing her weapon into a sniper rifle which then she vanished again and appeared from the side, shooting her weapon. The bullet was then cut in half by Rean. This also surprised her that he's able to not only deflecting bullet from before, but now cutting a small sniper bullet in half.

She then keep attacking from different angle, but all was countered by his blade deflection and blocks. Even from above he was able to dodge the attacks that was barraged by her. And her continuous attacks was being deflected and dodged.

"Okay then, my turn" Rean said as he used his ARCUS II secretly, increasing his speed. As he about to charge , Ruby turns again into roses petal moving around which suddenly she was met by her co-instructor gaze, in which she realized he was chasing her and was almost catch up to her which shocked her classmate.

'Wha-?! He's almost catching up to me?!' Ruby thought a little panicked.

Then in one swift move, he sheath his sword while running at her and then released a shockwave of fire which hits her and depleting a chunk of her aura and knocking her and her weapon away. The students then thought that his semblance was himself able to produce fire.

The match was ended in Rean's victory once more, as then he approached her and giving her a hand to stand up.

"Your speed was really impressive, but you're attacking on places that was pretty obvious, and try not only to relying on your speed, if there are someone with the same speed as yours, or faster, it could result in that previous lost." He said as he helped her to her feet.

"Try to find their blindspot rather than only focusing on your attacks momentum which can be used as a balance for your speed which can be used for a sudden attacks, and also try to understand your opponents movement first rather than they're understanding yours, also maybe utilize more gadgets like bombs or other stuffs to compesate the time of your weapon change of forms." Rean tells her as he gave her weapon back. She was glad that there are room for her to be better which she took the advice.

"Thank you, Co-Instructor Rean!" She replied with a smile.

Next was Weiss turn.

She starts by turning the floor into ice, thinking that limiting Rean's movement would helped, she then created a glyph and using it as a platform launch an attack to him which he dodged it by skating sideways, and then counter attacks it with his sword which the damage was reduced because of her near timely block. At the safe range, she uses the dust inside her rapier to fire multiple elemental shots which Rean was dodging some of it while also blocking it.

'He can dodge and block those random elemental dusts?! He's really perceptive.' Weiss thought to herself.

She then creates a glyph below her which summons an icicle that comes from the ground towards Rean which makes himself jumped. Looking at the oportunity, she created another glyph to launch herself to attack Rean, thinking that she might land a blow. Unfortunately for her, Rean sheathed his blade, focused and then released a quickdraw slash that caught her by suprised, lauching her the the ground, ending the match.

As he lands, he then goes to her and helps her getting up.

"Your ability was splendid, those glyph do really helped your movements to your advantage and your attacks, even that ice floor was really good, unfortunately your attacks was just trying to stab me and have small coherent continuation on attacks, plus you can be attacked easily on close range. Try to practice more about fencing techniques if you want to atleast be able toe to toe against enemies up close. You don't need to be a durable fighter, just focus and being able to keep up is enough."

Even if she lost, she take those advice to hearts, plus she was quite happy that someone acknowledge her abilities.

Blake was preparing her turn as she goes on the podium. Then the fight started.

She runs towards him as she slashes multiple times, he blocked and dodges the attacks. Then she pulled the sword out of the sheath and attacks him using both of it, which then he dodges if by jumping to his back. Which then she throws her weapon turning into a grapping hook in which she can controls using a black weapon that comes out from the grip. The attack was timely ducked and as the weapon comes back to her, she changed the weapon into a gun and shot at Rean multiple time in which he then dodges running to the side.

'He was able to read all my rapid attacks, and even dodges my ranged attacks. I can't drag this on then' She thought assessing the situation.

She wants to finish the battle, thinking that all the rapid attack if were more faster and unexpected would be able to hit him, so she used her semblance to create shadow-clones of herself, to trick him that one of it was charging at him, while herself was using the chain hook again and was about to charge at him as well. Instead of dodging, he put his body forward, lowers his body, and suddenly dashed through her clone at a high speed, slashing through it, then it doesn't stop there as then he dashed towards her from the side and doing the same thing to her, which able to damage her aura severely, which then he pointed the sword from behind ending the match. He then sheath back his blade as he said something to her.

"Your rapid attacks, speed, and precision was spot on. Even that last attack was pretty smart of you, it would almost got me if I didn't prepare that last attack. My only advice most likely is almost the same as Ruby on try to use more gadgets, but for you, use it for increasing field advantage so that your opponent have less movement, and maybe you might need some heavy hitting abilities to deal to your opponent if they have high durability, or try to have an ability that can remove their weapon if they were able to even counter any attacks no matter how strong it was." Rean said while giving her a warm smile.

Not only he was able to handle all those speedy and rapid attacks, he also had multiple strategies to even deal with his enemies in swift action. Plus his advice about removing the weapon of the enemy if they can use it to counter anything, Blake was now had no doubt, this man, Rean Schwarzer, can defeat Adam Taurus on his own.

And the last from the RWBY team was Yang. She was really eager to tussle down after seeing his abilities and able not to lose a single fight.

"I'm really impressed by all your teammate, all of them fight spectacularly against me. I'm hoping you could also do the same and impress me" Rean said with a quite satisfied look.

"Aw, thanks teach! And sorry for breaking your streak after this!" She said cheerfully.

"Oh don't worry, the streak will go on until graduation day" He said jokingly, which makes her grinning wider, thinking this teacher could be the best one yet. Then the last fight agains team RWBY begun.

Yang dashed in, her weapon would be one of the most dangerous, because it's double with a shotgun, so dodging backwards could spell trouble. Rean knew this and when she struck out a right cross, he dodge it sideways, which then continued with a left punch that was blocked by his blade, but he was being pushed a little back by the impact of the shotgun blast.

'Wow, he's quite durable for able to block that'

He then moves forward, countering the attack with a slash which was dodged by her backwards. Then he sheaths his blade and creating the fire shockwave which weirdly she took the damage to herself. Noting this, Rean concluded that her ability must have been in tangent with how many damage she gained. So he tries another method which in everyone suprised, he stabbed his blade onto the ground.

"Teach, what are you doing?" Yang asked.

"My swordsmanship style is quite different to what usually used by people, it has a form that can be used to fight if unarmed or without weapon. So let's do this with our fist!" Rean replied energetically, preparing an unarmed stance which makes Yang pumped up even more.

"Finally! Someone that knows what their doing! You're going to be one of my best teacher yet" She said happily, in which then she launched another barrages of punch which he dodges and blocks using his arms. Then he put his arms on above and below, standing still. Yang then throw another punch to him in which he dodges then countered by punching her stomach using his left arm, then connects using a flame fist on his right arm, pushing her and damaging some part of her aura. She feels like she had enough energy from the damage she took to activate her semblance and so she thinks it's time.

"Okay teach! Time to end this!" Which then she activates her semblance, making her eyes turned red and her hair glows. Her power fully charged which then she charged in with an explosive burst of speed incomparable to her previous moves. He dodges the attack barely, which then as she was about to connect the punch, he deliberately loosen himself, to make her think that the punch was about to connect, in which he suddenly with fast speed redirect the force of her punch to not hit him, in which he attacks again using a flaming fist.

He was able to dodge the high speed attack after knowing it's simple pattern, and as the semblance was about to wear of, he sees his chance to end the battle. He jumped a little back in which then, he focused his power on his right hand and then delivered a flaming palm to her stomach, knocking her quite far, ending the match.

"You're pretty good, you have abundant of strength and that semblance of yours are powerful, but you should not thinking of rely on it too much, use it only when you're in a pinch, and try to counter or dodge attacks and redirect your punch accurately, or if that was to hard for you, try grab your enemies and then kindly gave them the knuckle sandwich." He said, as he helped her standing up.

She was a little pissed that she lost from the counterattacks, but she was nonetheless happy that he was able to fight with his own body not always relying on his weapon, plus his advice wasn't about her must changing her fighting style, but about knowing how to utilized it more effectively and add another new element that could help, not to mention how her co-instructor was actually good with words.

"Thanks teach, next time, I won't lose to you" She said with a wide grin.

Now, only JNPR team left.

Jaune goes first from his team and when the fight started, the outcome was obvious. Jaune was defeated quickly without any waste of time. Rean thought at the fight that not only he had no form, he doesn't show any particular semblance. Jaune was expecting that outcome and was expected to be pitied by, but the co-instructor looked at him with a different expression and said something different.

"Jaune Arc, you have a no form of swordplay and at that battle, no semblance was even shown, but your eyes tell something different, you have the tenacity of not wanting to giving up and still coming at me with all you've got. Consider this an early lecture, train your body into shape and not only learn, but observe the different fighting style of each people you fought, even losing was an okay thing because you will still learn how to improve yourself. Experience speaks louder than any talent people would have said, and efforts, no matter how small it was will always never useless. And if you have the time, I could give some pointers on how to master those weapons of yours." Rean's said encouraging him.

He was suprised at that statement, it was rare for someone to not look at him with pity, but also saying that all his effort isn't in vain and at that point, it gave the young man more self confident and an outlook on how to grow as a person. His teammate liked the way their co-instructor gave confident to Jaune, especially Pyrrha.

'There is no doubt, he will be a very good teacher.' Pyrrha thought to herself with a smile on her face.

Glynda was now has no doubt now, Rean is the definition of a great instructor. The other teams was also gained some small respect to their co-instructor.

Then it was Nora turns which she was quite excited.

She starts by jumping towards him and attacking downward using the hammer, which he dodges but has an impact that affected the floor. She then charged at him with a wide swing of her hammer which he dodges as well, which then she attacks the ground, using her semblance to spread the electrical energy that hoped hit it's marks, which then Rean jumped to avoid it, in which Nora jumped back and changed her weapon into a grenade launcher, shooting at him, which he blocks.

Unknown to her, Rean already charging his ARCUS in secret and using it to create an invincible shield which protects him for only one time, making the damage of the grenade launcher nullified which shocks the entire student, Nora, and even Glynda on how he was able to survived that unscathed. And as he lands, he slashed at her with high speed and releasing another fire shockwave to end the match.

He gave her compliments about the powerful attacks and her abilities which really synchronize quite well. But she need to have a way to makes her enemies distracted other than using the hammer if she wants to gain more successful blows because the swing of her hammer, while powerful was easy to be dodged. She took the advice with a cheerful attitude.

Ren turns was quite different from the others.

He keeps his distance from Rean while shooting both of his automatic handguns, which Rean was try to outrun. And when he was near Rean, he tries to attack with rapid attack used by the blade that were attached to it, which he was able to blocked. And unlucky for him, while attacking using the blades, Rean was able to parry it.

But even without the weapons, he was able to attack using his martial arts, using palm thrust similar to Rean, but with less counters which Rean himself was able to counter using his own flaming fist and finishing the match.

Rean was also suprised that there are no semblance was used just like Jaune, but he had more advantage in close combat with his martial arts and his speed plus movenent wasn't that bad. And there is one more thing, he had a weird feeling that something makes Ren quite calm in that match, which he then deduced that it could be part of his semblance.

With that in mind, the co-instructor said to Ren that he was impressed by the knowledge of martial arts and his overall speed and reaction, but stated the lacking of his strength and stamina, in which he was given the advice that he should learned more about weak points and pressure points on his enemies, and maybe trying to add some new arsenal of weapon. He openly accepted the advice which then almost the time for the sparring session to reach it's final match.

It's Pyrrha time to fight. From all the students he fought, Rean agreed that this is going to be the hardest one. Everything was silent. Some students thought that their co-instructor luck has ran out, as so far he must have been exhausted from the battles and he was fighting Pyrrha for last which is the current best student in this class.

She then stepped into the platform, prepares her weapon, while her co-instructor do the same.

She carefully considered the situation, the fight with all the students was a really unbelieveable showcase of his ability, her co-instructor was indeed strong, precise, and calculative.

Pyrrha concluded to use a mid range with coordination as her best method, because mostly of his attacks were close combat and he has an astounding way of parrying, counters, and dodges, while she was being careful of his fire shockwave and high speed.

She starts by thrusting her javelin to see his reaction, which he was able to dodge, then with little time, she changes her weapon into a rifle and shot it which was blocked timely by him.

Rean continued to block and dodges the rapid attacks of her javelin, and sometimes her shield bashes, which he realized trying to give him no time to counterattack. And almost all his attacks were able to be nearly dodged. He admitted that she was pretty good, the ability to adapt her enemies tactic and was able to find a precision strike was spot on. Her speed and form was also in good shape, but something bugged him.

When he was about to counters one of her attack with a sword swing, he felt his weapon was a little heavier, and miss his counters for a while. He never missed his counter swing so far with all the students, and that heavy sensation was something he suspected for a while. Which he tries for another attack by dashing to her, which for some reason he felt like a slight pushed a little back that slowed his dash, and looking at his belt which moved a little, making her able to block his attacks.

'So she have a magnetism semblance, this is going to be a rough one' He conclude from the last attack.

He then tried a different tactic, focusing on his ARCUS II secretly as he dodges her attacks, he then shot a fireball at her which she dodges, a little bit suprised, then he dash at her with high speed and sliced at her, which she was then gained a little damage to her, her semblance reduced the impact of the blade, but he was still very fast.

"Your semblance was really good, and it's utilization was silent but could be deadly, it's time to get more serious I suppose." Rean said to her, she doesn't answered, but looking at her face, she was a little caught off, because she used her semblance to make very subtle changes of movement for her own weapons and sometimes her opponent's weapon to affect the course of a battle.  And not only that, Rean was the first one to understand her semblance in just one battle. She was definitely in a disadvantegous position, but she was glad for the first time, it would be a true battle that she can finally be serious.

"Brave Order, Raging Fire, Activate! " As suddenly, a light envelopes him a little bit, shocking the students, even Glynda and Pyrrha.

He then dash at her with high speed again, which she was able to block, but it felt like some of her aura was reduced, feeling that his strenght has increased. She felt that if she didn't go all out, she would be lost, so abandoning her usual restraints, she unleashed her full might.

The Co-instructor and the Mistrallian champion was clashed toe to toe, making the other that watched it's battle totally enraptured by it.

For the first time, the Invincible Girl was fighting someone with all she got, and even that, slowly she was at the disadvantage. The co-instructor was able to deal blows at high speed with much power than before.

Seeing she was about to lose, the other students cheered at her to win, wanting to not letting the winning streak to end in another win and believing that she can pull through.

It was rare for her to be on the side of losing and she was unexpected at the cheer for her even in this situation, in which usually was given to her opponent. For the first time in her life, she was happy that she wasn't always invincible.

Abandoning her usual caution, she used her full physical abilities, using parrys, kicks, punches, while using her weapon as a damaging force to her opponent while increasing it's momentum and speed using her semblance.

"You're the best one, I can guarantee you will become a great Huntress, but it ends here." Rean said, dashing towards her but this time not slashing at her, instead he hold his weapon high, then deliver two slash of fire in which she barely blocked, and then the third slash created a small tornado of fire that pushed her a little bit while blocking. And to top it all of, he was preparing a stance that Glynda knows well.

"Flames, gather on my blade" Which suddenly his blade was on fire.

He then charge on her and slashing it twice, even if she was still blocking, her aura has decreased a lot from the impact.

"HAAAAAAAA" the third slash goes through it and instantly depletes her aura, and disarming her.

"The battle has ended!" Glynda declared quickly, understanding that Pyrrha was already lost, in which Rean then sheath his blade.

Pyrrha's was breathing exhaustedly while her heart was pounding really fast in her chest. A part of her refused to believe that it was already over. But she knew it was. She has lost.

Rean approached her and looking at her, she was at a shock, even if she was the calmest and the most adaptive one, she was indeed has a small disbelief that she had lost for the first time.

Helping her stand, he then said something to her

"You have a great ability and mind on the battle, the techniques you have are also astounding, but there are one reason why you lost. You didn't stagnate, you're just in the need of people that was a lot more stronger than you, and even then, you don't have a goal."

"People... that was stronger than me?, and.. I don't have a goal?" She asked, still exhausted.

"Yes, even I wasn't as strong as this at first, I met a lot of adversaries and challenge that were stronger than me, and I did suffered a few losses, but that doesn't mean I can't overcome those challenges, with my friends help, and my own tenacity, I was able to move forward and become stronger.

And plus, your fellow friends have different goal, but a goal nonetheless, some wants to be stronger, some wants to be acknoledged, some wants to looking for something, if you had a specific goal then you will do everthing to achieve it and by that you won't lose your own sight no matter how painful and hard the world throws at you.

And try not to think to much about your position no matter how popular. I've been in that position long ago too and overthinking plus reacting to it was a waste of time." Rean concluded.

This opened her eyes. Pyrrha realized that she had potential to growth and didn't stagnate at all. Relying more on her friends on her goal, and not overthought about other people thinking of her, she took those lesson deeply, which motivates her and making her realize what to do next.

"Alright everyone, that's enough today for the class, hopefully this sparring session will able to helped you all to grow, and there are no assignments for today because today sparring session would be enough for your materials, so class dismissed." Glynda said to the other students.

At that last attack, she afraid that Rean was  going to severely damage her students, but now she was now positive, Rean Schwarzer is truly a good teacher and had restrain. Not only the last attack only goal was to reduce her students aura, and the other student's was left with an exhaustion rather than any injuries. But he has been giving them tips and ways for them to grow.

Ozpin had made the right choice assigning him as an instructor.

--Ozpin Office--

"That's all about my reports" Glynda said to Ozpin, reporting about today class preceeding.

"I see, thank you. And judging by your tone, you've must have a good impression about him?"

"His origin might still be quite confusing and unknown, and he might have hidden some of his powers, but there is no doubt that he can teach others and know how to restrain his abilities." Glynda admitted about Rean's performance.

"I'm glad, if he was able to continued performing well in the future, I might be inviting him into the circle." He said while sipping his coffee. Glynda was a little bit surprised that he might been invited this soon, but she might accepted the suggestion if he was able to impressed all of them even further.

Ozpin though was still curious about his true power and if he was really is stronger than he shows, he might be a true help for the impending fight for humanity in the future.
