AN: LOL. Jonas casually drops dead like it's nobody's business.

Chapter 27: The hunt's first mission (part 2)

In one of the apartments in Narrows, Jonas wakes up in the body of Marionette Henchman. He was currently in the apartment that he rented as Theodore Morrison.

Thankfully, nobody has barged into his room and none of the things have been taken. Jonas then willed the marionette henchman to take the appearance of Theodore Morrison once again. Annabelle which the marionette henchman was holding while it was not being possessed by him just remained in the chair. Rummaging through the cabinet, a freebie from the apartment, he took out the black tuxedo and black shoes that he have stolen from his father and wore them.

He then wore a white pair of gloves, a black top hat, and a long black cape that reaches down to his feet. Today, as in his very first and official mission, Jonas chooses to wear a hockey mask. It reminded him of the movie character Jason in his past life.

But instead of slashing and killing people, Jonas just needs to hunt the scarecrow and sent him back to Arkham Asylum. Jonas decided to bring the painting with him but covered it with a white piece of fabric. He has the painting tied on his back and hidden under his cape.

Jonas's room in the apartment is on the 7th floor. It is on the highest floor of the apartment. He then opened the window to his room. Before leaving he picked one item before going out the window and closing them. He then climbed to the rooftop of the Apartment.

Landing on the roof of the apartment without nobody noticing, he pondered where Scarecrow could be.

He couldn't be here in the Narrows which was too close to Arkham Asylum. It was like he was just asking the Vigilantes to bring him back to the Asylum.

The Scarecrow couldn't also possibly be near the Gotham City Police Department.

Just where is he? With how big Gotham is, he would have a hard time finding Scarecrow. Jonas could feel a headache at Scarecrow's possible location.

[ There are 7 cinemas dosed with the new type of fear gas in Gotham City. Scarecrow is hiding behind the films. ]

After being informed by his eye fear god, then there were only 6 cinemas that he needed to go to. He doesn't sense anyone hiding in that cinema room as Jonas Cane.

Opening his hands wide, Jonas jumped down the apartment and started to fall. There was a glee on his face before he took out the item and activated it.

It was a grappling hook that looks like a gun.

The end of his grappling hook then attached to the wall of another building. Swinging the grappling hook, Jonas controlled the weight of the marionette henchman from time to time as he swing through the different buildings. He controls his weight to use the grappling hook more effectively and travel faster.

With the latest Gotham City map, he decided to go to the Cinema which was the farthest from Narrows.

There are 7 Cinemas in Gotham City dose with Scarecrow's new type of fear gas. It's been 1 month since the disappearance of Bruce Wayne in Gotham City. Timothy Drake Wayne appointed himself as the New CEO and manage the Wayne Enterprise.

It's also been 1 month and a few weeks since Batman hasn't shown up in Gotham City. The Gotham Rogues and Villains are growing bolder in his absence. And there were different assumptions about what happened to Batman.

There were suggestions that Batman went on vacation. Some said he went on a journey to the path of self-discovery. Then there was the grimmest assumption that the criminals have made, it was said that Batman is dead.

It hasn't also been long since the attack of Darkseid happened and his search for Anti-Life Equation. Since Batman was part of the Justice League, he probably joined in the battle against Darkseid and died.

Batman is dead. It was the most believed and probable assumption on why his presence couldn't be felt since the battle against Darkseid happened.

Since most of the criminals believe in this theory, Batman the symbol of hope for Gotham City, and the name most feared by Gotham criminals was gone, and there is no need to fear in the hearts of the criminals anymore.

With the death and absence of Batman, sins, and crimes started to climb up once again in Gotham City. It would become more worst as time passed.

In response to the rising crime in Gotham, Oracle started to establish the network. With her Birds of Prey, the Gotham Vigilantes, and acquaintance of the Bat as members, she planned to combat the rising crimes in Gotham City.

Today's criminal, Scarecrow has once again escaped from Arkham Asylum and developed a new type of fear gas and released it to 7 cinemas in Gotham City- he was always one of Gotham's most problematic criminals.

For every new type of Fear Gas and Serum that Scarecrow develops, a new type of antidote must be developed.

In the cinema located at Old Gotham, Black Canary is dispatched. Nightwing and Robin are in the Cinema in the crime alley. The Cinema where Bruce Wayne's Parents died. Knight and Batwoman in the Cinema near the Cathedral Square. Huntress and Damian are in the cinema in Kubrick District. Batgirl is in the cinema in City Hall District. Cat woman is at the Cinema at Robbinsville and lastly, Ragman and Squire are at the Cinema near the One Gotham Center.

Black Canary, Nightwing, and Robin were the nearest to Oracle's base. Black Canary took a sample of the new type of fear gas before giving it to Robin. The latter then delivered the Fear Gas sample to the Batcave where the Flash is waiting. Barry Allen has recently returned during the battle against Darkseid.

After giving the sample to Flash, the Speedster then used the Zeta Tube in the Batcave to go back to Central City star labs and help with creating the new antidote for the new type of Fear Gas.

Robin then went back to Crime Alley. At the same time that he went back and greeted Nightwing, Oracle then informed them of a confusing message.

" Damian's classmate is dead. "

" ..What? "

" Oracle? "

Both Nightwing and Robin we're confused. A few seconds later, there was a new message again.

" Scarecrow is hiding in One Gotham Center Cinema. Ragman is severely affected by Fear Gas. Squire is requesting backup. "

Nightwing and Robin sighed. They were one of the farthest along with Black Canary. The One Gotham Center was on the other side of Gotham City.

While they were hopeless of the current situation on could only rely on Batgirl, Catwoman, Huntress, and Damian. Nightwing and Robin couldn't rely on the latter despite Damian being with them for more than a month now.

Squire then activated her communicator and relayed her message to everyone.

" Thanks for the backup! Oracle you work so fast. Good teamwork everyone! I didn't. Know that there's a recruit. Who's he? "

It wasn't just Nightwing and Robin who were confused anymore but almost everyone including Oracle herself.
