He didn't want to go out on such a night, but her bright and wondrous eyes dragged him out the front door and into the drivers seat of the car.

It was a full moon, and he knew he was still having trouble dealing with the whole werewolf thing, but he couldn't deny her of anything. He often feels as though he could control himself around her, as if she was his anchor.

And that was a good enough excuse for him to pull out of the driveway, heading down the street with no real destination other than straight toward the sunset, somewhere comfortable they could be together.

The sun was bleaching the sky a bright orange and pink colour, blinding his sight occasionally but it was okay, because the heat coming from her hand that was intertwined with his was enough for him to squint a little harder, and keep driving.

When they finally stopped driving, pulled over on the side of the road, he shut off the engine.

"Where are we?" She suddenly asked, and all he could do was laugh gently and shrug his shoulders.

"No idea." He replied, and she hummed it satisfaction.

"Good."

Her hand slipped from his, and she was tumbling out of the car and over to the large patch of grass beside where the car was parked. He watched as she first sat down, then began to lean back until she was lying on the bed of green.

And like metal drawn to a magnet, he found himself hopping out of the car and shuffling over to the girl. He dropped down beside her, head pressed to the side of hers and they lied in a comfortable silence.

She found his hand in a matter of seconds, wrapping it around his and letting it rest on the grass between their bodies. The gesture still managed to give him butterflies.

Come to think of it, just the thought of her still gave him butterflies. As pitiful as it was, he was head over heels, and he couldn't bring himself to care too much because this beauty was his, and only his.

They watched as a plane suddenly took off from a suspected airport, it shooting into the orange drenched sky.

"Promise me we'll get out of here one day." She'd mumbled, eyes not leaving the plane flying over head.

And he did.

She gave his hand a soft squeeze when the soft 'I promise' left his lips, and that was the end of that conversation, it all lost in the wind.

His head lolled to the left, only to find her eyes had left the plane and were staring right back at him. She smiled, and it was like the sun had disappeared from the sky and he'd found it again in the way her lips tugged up into a grin.

Caught up in the moment, he found himself speaking, "God, I love you."

The smile on her lips suddenly faded, her face pulling to a shocked expression. They'd never told each other that they loved one another, both much too afraid to mutter such words, but right now he was so sure of it, and he needed her to know that.

"I-I love you too." He heard her whisper back, smiling returning to her soft features while they leaned in, closer and closer until their lips slotted together.

He so desperately wanted to freeze time right now, never wanting this moment to end, but when she pulled back, he knew that wasn't possible. Though it didn't matter, because this girl was his, and they could have these moments when ever he wanted.

And by knowing this, he simply smiled at her and leaned down to press another kiss to her lips, sealing the two of them in the beautiful moment.
