Isaac Imagine (For @WillowRose99)

Request: She runs away from her abusive family and Isaac can't find her. When he does she's scared of him because every other boyfriend has hurt her.

Also - If any of you happen to be triggered by the mention of abuse/domestic violence, please don't read this. Ily x

Alsoooo - This is my new favourite piece I have written tbh.

You held your hands over your ears, eyes shut tight as you tried desperately to drown out the shouts of your mother and father.

Today was just like any other day. Your parents started off the day with shouting at each other, sometimes in a drunken rage, then they'd storm up into your room...

You gasped back tears, pushing yourself up from your bed so you could find a bag, then began stuffing it with whatever you could get your hands on.

As you heard footsteps on the stairs you froze, but as the footsteps went silent again you let out a breath you didn't realize you were holding.

With trembling fingers, you grabbed your phone and dialed the only person that meant something to you. Isaac.

"Spencer?" He had picked up within only a few rings.

You were sobbing so loudly you could barley hear Isaac on the other end of the phone.

"Please," He begged. "Tell me whats going on!"

Shaking with fear, you shook your head as you mumbled a quick, "I'm sorry." before hanging up the phone. You realized by ringing you were just wasting time; the time you didn't have.

As you finished packing up your bag, you quietly opened your bedroom door, taking a risk and sneaking downstairs and thankfully slipping out the front door while your parents were still yelling profundities at each other.

Running as fast as your legs could carry you, you ran until you were a safe distance away from your house.

It just so happened that you had ended up at a local park. Walking over, you collapsed onto the grass, your legs finally unable to hold you up any longer. It was then when your phone began to ring, and you didn't even have to give a second glace at the caller ID to know who it was.

"Spencer?" Isaac's voice was fully of worry. "Whats going on? Why are your parents yelling?"

"What are you doing at my house?" You asked, voice still broken with occasional tears.

"I came looking for you," He explained. "Where are you?"

"No..." You managed to mumble out. "I want to be alone. I need to be alone."

"Spence, where are you?" His voice came out stern, demanding almost and you'd be lying if you said it didn't scare you.

You where hesitant, but you eventually answered, "There... There's a park not too far from home. You wont miss it."

"I'm coming." Was the last thing you heard before he ended the call.

*

You lifted your head out of your hands at the sound of someone mumbling a not-so-silent 'Thank God'.

Isaac stood above you, sad eyes looking down at your broken form. He sat crossed legged beside you, pulling you to his side no matter how many times you protested.

You were tense against him to begin with, worried he was going to hurt you like everyone else did, but after internally shouting to yourself that he wasn't going to do anything of the sort, you eventually began to relax slightly, but not fully letting your guard down.

You were thankful that Isaac didn't bother raising any questions. You figured that he was probably piecing it all together for himself in his mind.

"I'm not going to hurt you," He suddenly spoke softly. "Gosh, I could never do anything like that to you. Just, please, let your guard down for me."

You raised your head off of his shoulder, eyes finally coming up to meet his again. It all stayed silent, then he suddenly began to lean in, your heartbeat immediately picking up as you found yourself mirroring his movements.

You lips met his briefly, before you retracted as fear took over once again.

With careful fingers, he placed them on your chin, bringing you closer to him again, "I'm not going to hurt you. You've just gotta trust me, yeah?"

When you nodded, he let his lips captivate yours once again for much longer this time, both of you having to pull away eventually to catch your breath.

"I love you." He whispered.

And although you weren't capable of uttering those three simple words back just yet, you knew deep down that you had finally found what you had been searching for, for so long.

A home.
