"C'mon! It'll be fun!" You boyfriend, Jackson, chuckles while attempting to pull you towards the haunted house at the circus that was in your town for the weekend. 

You pull your hand away from his grasp and cross your arms across your chest, "It most certainly will not!" 

"Please?" He pouts. 

After a few more moments of contemplating you give in and sigh, "Fine." 

Jackson's face immediately lights up and he grabs your hand, pulling you in the direction of the haunted house. 

Hesitantly, you and Jackson begin to walk into the haunted house, you holding onto Jackson's hand as if it were your only life source. 

"I'll protect you." He whispers to you before pulling you through the door and into the darkness. 

To say you were scared would be an understatement. You were terrified. Holding yourself closer to Jackson the two of you walk further into the darkness until you reach a door with fluro hand prints in the middle. Jackson pushes open the door and leads you inside. You only get a short distance before a person wearing a mask jumps forward and screams, causing you to let out a squeal and wrap your arms around Jackson. Hiding your face in Jackson's side you keep walking.

You keep your face in Jackson's side for most of the walk, jumping occasionally when someone shouts or a noise goes off. You remove your head from Jackson and look towards a door with 'exit' in fluro paint written on it. 

You let out a thankful sigh and unwrap yourself from Jackson and run towards it, pushing it open and letting the moonlight steam into the room. 

"I thought that was never going to end." You mumble to Jackson when he emerges from the room. 
He chuckles and rolls his eyes at you. 

"Can we go do something less scary now?" You ask, grabbing Jackson's hand and lacing your fingers with his. 

"How 'bout we go win you that bear you were looking at?" He suggests. 

Your face lights up like his did before, "Yes, yes, yes!" You shout, pulling him in the direction of clown game.
