First Date - Liam imagine

10 minutes.

He was going to be here in 10 minutes and you were still staring at the outfits you had laid out on your bed, undecided.

Did you go with the dress, or jeans and a shirt? Either way you felt as though you were going to be over dressed, or under dressed. With a sigh you slump down onto your desk chair, feeling defeated. Your eyes scan your room and land on a maroon skirt that had fallen from your dresser.

You go over and pick it up, setting it down on your bed, pushing your previous two outfits out of the way and deciding to start fresh. Scavenging though your shirts you manage to find a plain black, long sleeved shirt and you pull the two items on, also catching a glimpse of the time.

5 minutes.

You look at yourself your full length mirror and decide you needed a necklace of some sort. Pulling out a long gold chain with a heart pendant you slip it on and take another look at yourself. You were finally happy, and just in time.

The door bell rung and you slipped on some flat shoes before making your way downstairs. Opening the door Liam's eyebrows seemed to raise upon seeing you, making you feel self-conscious.

"Is there something wrong?" You ask, taking another look at your outfit.

"No, no!" Liam shook his head as he looked you over again. "Its just that you look really beautiful... not that you don't look beautiful all the time, though!"

You laugh, thanking him before following him down your drive way.

**

Turns out Liam did take you to quite a fancy restaurant, and although you felt somewhat under dressed beside all these other ladies with pretty dresses on, Liam was quick to distract you, joking all the way up until now.

The two of you were walking along the beach, approaching a festival that was in town for the weekend. The mention of fireworks made Liam and yourself finish your meals quickly so you wouldn't miss them.

You still had time to spare so Liam decided he wanted to win you one of those stuffed teddy bears while you waited. You didn't think twice about agreeing to his offer, after all, who would turn down the offer for a cute boy to win you a just-as-cute teddy bear? Not you, that's for sure.

After countless tries Liam had just about given up. He glanced over to you, chuckling when he caught site of you.

You had gotten distracted by the baby animals in the petting farm and had absentmindedly wandered over there, distracted by the baby sheep that was currently nibbling on your finger.

The runner of the stall tapped Liam on the shoulder before handing him over a bear, "You've been here for twenty minutes, spent enough money, have it."

Liam smiles brightly at the man, taking the bear from his grip, "Thank you, so much."

"Promise me one thing, yeah?" He asks, and Liam nods for him to go on. "Promise me you wont let that pretty girl you came here with leave until you kiss her."

Liam's smile only gets wider and he nods, "Promise."

He makes his way over to you, managing to pull you away from the animals long enough to proudly hand over the bear.

"You got it!" You exclaim, taking the bear from Liam with a smile.

"Something like that." He chuckles, turning back to the stall smiling. You decide against raising questions and just follow Liam as he leads you to where the fireworks were being held, about to begin.

You were watching as the fireworks lit up the sky in a magical way until Liam's fingers on your chin made you look at him. Your heartbeat quickens as he closes his eyes and begins to lean in, you matching his movements.

Before you knew it, his lips were placed sweetly on yours, the feeling in your stomach matching the flashing explosions in the sky.
