Enchanted - Theo Imagine

A/n: Based on Enchanted by Taylor Swift. Also, lets just pretend that werewolves can get drunk just for this, okay? Great.

Alsooo, sorry for the random Wednesday update. I'm going to have literally no time to update tomorrow or Friday because I have my clap out and beach run tomorrow with the school and then my graduation Friday so there's lots to do and its low key stressing me out but yeah hope you enjoy xx

* * *

There I was again tonight, forcing laughter, faking smiles. Same old tired lonely place.

In all honesty, you didn't want to be at the party you were currently stuck at.

You were surrounded by drunk teenagers and music that was much too loud and you were just all around annoyed, but your friend had promised you a good night and to not leave you alone and right now she was not living up to her promise.

You were stuck in a corner of what seemed to be the lounge room, eyes tiredly wandering around the room as the other party-goers moved about to the music, and you couldn't catch sight of your friend anymore.

"So much for not leaving me." You muttered to yourself, a sigh leaving your lips as you let your head fall back and rest against the wall. And it was there that you stayed, sitting bored in the corner of the room, hoping that you'd be able to find your friend soon.

Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"
Across the room your silhouette starts to make its way to me.

Just when you were thinking of leaving (Honestly, why didn't you think of doing that earlier?), texting your friend that you weren't feeling well and walking right out of the house and away from the smothering stench of alcohol, you locked eyes with a boy.

They were comforting, in a way, drawing you in and making you forget your previous plan.

The two of you stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity until you finally noticed he had began to walk toward you. It was dark, but you could still make out his silhouette weaving through the drunken teenagers until he was standing before you.

"Hi," You whispered out, and when he furrowed his eyebrows at you, you realized that he mustn't have heard you, so you repeat yourself again, a little louder this time so he was able to hear you over the pounding music, "Hi!"

You accompanied your greeting with a small wave, mentally scolding yourself afterward when you realized how awkward you must have looked.

"Hey," He smiled, not seeming phased by what you thought was an overly-awkward greeting. "You look kind of bored, want to get out of here?"

Usually, you would have thought his offer sounded a lot like more of an invitation for the two of you to sneak upstairs to find an empty bedroom, after all that's what lets get out of here means in the movies, right? But he genuinely seemed to actually want to get out of there, and that was enough for you to follow the stranger out the front door and onto the street.

"I'm Theo, by the way." He had added once you had gotten far enough down the street that the music playing became a dull thud.

"(Y/n)." You replied.

And for the rest of the night, the two of you spent your time wasting away the rest of the night and early morning by walking the streets and talking about everything and nothing until your feet hurt so much you eventually had to sit down.

You had, after sitting and talking more with Theo, realized that you might have developed a slight crush on the boy, but no one had to know about that.

The lingering question kept me up, 2 AM who do you love?

You thought he loved you.

Okay, maybe love was a strong word (It was more of a like, to be honest), but you thought all the lingering glances and late night texts meant something to not only you, but him as well.

The weeks of getting to know each other were seemingly thrown down the drain when you had shuffled into yet another party with the promise to see Theo, only the second you had walked into the house you caught sight of him with another girl attached to the front of him, pressing him against a wall while they drunkenly made out.

You felt your heart wrench, ripping your gaze from the pair. Your stomach dropped, tears pricking your eyes and that's when you realized you needed to get out of there.

You pushed past the other strangers surrounding you, gratefully sucking in the fresh air once you had stumbled outside.

You blinked away the tears, willing yourself not to cry over a stupid boy.

Of course he didn't like you. Honestly, you were stupid enough to think someone like him would be even remotely interested in you.

You were you, and he was him. Maybe the two of you just didn't belong.

"Stupid."  You mumbled to yourself before you were walking away from the house, away from the mental image of the boy you thought could have become something more than just a friend pressed against another girl.

This night is sparkling, don't you let it go. I'm wonderstruck, blushing all the way home.

"Please, just listen to me." He begged, but you couldn't care much for his petty words. You brushed him of with the soft shake of your head, trying to push past the other students as you weaved through the hall ways at school.

Just as you thought he had given up, gotten lost in the sea of people, you felt a hand clasp itself onto your shoulder, "Please, (Y/n), let me explain."

He sounded completely desperate, gripping onto your shoulder like it was his only life source just as you managed to push yourself outside. You pulled your shoulder away from his grip, spinning around to face him.

"Let you explain?" You spat, words laced with annoyance. "Explain what, Theo? Its pretty clear to me, that you aren't as interested in me as I thought you were. There's no need to explain the obvious."

Just as you turned to walk off again, he managed to catch your wrist and spun you to look at him again, "(Y/n), I was drunk. I don't know what I was doing at the time, but now I realize that it was a really stupid mistake. I like you, (Y/n), a lot. And I thought you weren't interested in me so I got myself wasted enough to mess around with another girl to try and forget about you. But the moment my eyes laid on you walking out at that party I knew there was no way I could forget about you,"

His eyes fell to the ground, lips sucking in a deep breath before he continued to speak. "You're one of the most captivating and beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I'm no good with relationships but when I'm around you... when I'm around you I want nothing more than to be able to kiss you and hug you whenever I feel like it. I want to be able to hold you when you're sad and laugh with you when you're happy. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, (Y/n), and that thought both sends butterflies to my stomach and absolutely terrifies me."

You were at a loss for words at this point, gaping at the boy in front of you. Just like that, any anger you held toward him had washed away and you were left with the feeling of your heart racing in your chest, not believing the words that had passed from his lips.

"Please, let me take you on a real date," He finally spoke. "Let me show you how much I really do like you."

And, well, there was absolutely no way you could say no to him.

And thus, that night he had picked you up at 6 PM on the dot, and he had taken you out to dinner at one of the most fanciest restaurants in town. It was probably one of the most enjoyable nights of your life, and you were so glad you stuck around and listened to him apologize to you.

Currently, he was walking you back up to the front door of your house.

Your hands brushed against each other's, fingers unknowingly hooking with the others for a brief moment before they retracted. It was almost like your hands had a mind of their own, trying to will the two of you to just hold hands already, but both of you were too shy to initiate the hand holding.

That is until you reached your front door.

You turned, ready to say a thank you and goodnight to Theo, but when you caught sight of his eyes, almost glistening in the moon light, you couldn't bring yourself to speak. Instead, he hooked his index fingers with yours, gently pulling you closer to him.

He raised his eyebrows slightly, a seemingly silent way to ask you is this okay?

And when you nodded, he properly interlaced your hands before tugging you just that little bit closer to him, chest to chest, and began to lean in. You mimicked his actions, eyes slipping shut just as your lips locked with his in the most warming and innocent kiss.

When you both pull away, you could feel the blush that had crept up onto your cheeks. You let your head dip down to look at your feet, growing too shy to be able to look Theo in the eyes again.

With a finger to your chin, though, the boy lifted your head again. He sent you a warm smile, one that definitely contrasted against the cool nights air, and leaned down to press his lips close to your ear.

"Goodnight, (Y/n)." He whispered, giving your hands one last gentle squeeze before he turned and walked off again.

And for the rest of the night, you don't feel as though you stop blushing.
