LEXI'S POV

I've been back to work for a week and I'm exhausted. My moms been helping a lot so I can still get a somewhat decent amount of sleep.

I've heard nothing from Jake and I probably won't anytime soon.

I know he's back to his ways though, I've heard of the party's and the girls he's back to sleeping with.

Back to his playboy ways, how stupid of me to think I could've changed him.

I'm moving to his dad's other apartments on the other side of town. I've talked to his dad about it.

I'm paying him rent, just not as much as everyone else I pay about half the price as the other tenants.

I paid for a moving truck so I wouldn't have to disassemble everything and reassemble it.

These apartments are literally the same exact as the one I was just in except on the other side of town.

Jakes dad agreed not to tell Jake I moved. I don't want him to know where I'm at.

Jakes parents are still going to see Hunter even though Jake doesn't want to be sort of his life. They've yelled at him before but he's stuck in his ways.

I put my car in park and shut it off in the parking spot in front of my section of my new apartment.

It has like 6 sections, mines the end. I have 2 keys again, one to get into the section that leads to 4 apartments, 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs.

I have the upstairs one on the right.

I prop the door open and the movers move the furniture inside for me.

I carry Hunter in and my mom helps move stuff into where they belong. she puts clothes in the closet and dishes away while I move the furniture to where I want it.

I set up hunters room first because he's going to get tired soon.

I set up his changing room, crib, and everything just in time to lay him down.

My mom and I set up my room then the bathroom and kitchen.

Living room was basically done by the movers because it's just the couches and tv.

"I can't thank you enough." I say to my mom making a cup of coffee.

"It's no problem." She says and I hand her a cup of coffee.

It's noon and I'm already exhausted. I only got three hours of sleep last night.

"Honey you should just rest. I'll stay here, take a nap, if Hunter wakes up I'll get him." My mom says looking at me.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes go you need to rest."

"Love you mom." I say going to my room and laying down on my bed.

5 1/2 months later

Hunter is 6 months old today. Morgan, Mark and Victoria are coming over and my mom, not Jake we still haven't talked but I've got over him.

I've got a new job, I work at kwik trip now and I've made more friends which is good. I've actually met a guy but I'm not pushing anything because I don't want to rush into a relationship.

Morgan's over and helping make food.

We make pickle roll ups, I bought a cheese and meat tray, and were making a chicken dip. We're just making snack foods because they're not going to be over for long.

Morgan's done with college and she's moved into the apartment across the hall, were basically at one another's apartment all the time.

If my apartment had another room I would've had her move in but she's across the hall, it's close enough.

I hear a knock and I go and open the door, it's my mom.

I let her in and she holds Hunter cooing over him.

"Look at my little Hunter you've grown so much." She says bouncing him on her side.

I've got this weekend off so Morgan and I are going to do a movie marathon like the old days, plus Hunter of course.

I was lucky and found a daycare that does the weekend too but when I have days off I keep Hunter at home with me.

I must've zoned out because I didn't hear a knock and Morgan's getting the door.

It's hot out but I have my air conditioner on high so I have Hinter dressed in footy pajamas.

I don't bother putting him in real clothes were just going to be inside all day. I have Nike running shorts on and a tshirt, nothing fancy.

I've been doing some exercises occasionally and luckily I've got my body back to where it was before I got pregnant. No stretch marks either thanks goodness for that cream I used.

Victoria and Mark coo over Jake, they haven't seen him in person for a couple months so we let them use all they're time to the fullest.

They'll say they're going to see Morgan and they'll stop over and see him quick sometimes because Jake doesn't know I live next to Morgan.

We still haven't talked and I don't think we ever will but it's his loss, Hunter will always have me and if Jake don't want to be a real dad then he's missing out.

"Hunters a real womanizer, I brought him to work the other day on my day off to see what my hours are and every girl just wanted to pinch his little chubby cheeks" I say smiling looking at Hunter.

"He sure is a handsome little boy." Victoria says playing with Hunter on the floor.

He starts whining and I go and grab his pacifier. He stops one I get it to him.

"Well I know what I'm getting him for a present." Mark says laughing at how happy he gets once he has his pacifier.

We snack on the food and talk and cuddle Hunter of course.

Eventually they have to leave they're going on a business trip, what a shocker.

They're going to England and they said they're definitely picking Hunter up some toys over there.

I walk them out which really isn't needed seeing how it's just a flight of stairs but I do it anyway. I thank them for coming and they leave.

"How fun time to clean." I say walking back into my apartment to the kitchen.

"Let me do it." My mom says grabbing plates.

"No mom you do enough I can." I say spraying the dishes down and loading the dish washer.

I sweep and pick up the blankets off the floor from where Hunter was laying. My mom paid him in his bouncy where he's sleeping as of now.

"Ew." Morgan randomly says from the couch looking at her phone.

"What?" I ask putting the blankets in Hunters room.

I come back out and walk my mom out, she works today so she has to get going.

"What was the ew about?" I ask coming back into my apartment and locking it, out of habit.

"Jakes dating Heather, well you know for now." She says with a look of disgust on her face.

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me at all." I say shaking my head before turning on the tv.

We watch tv and before I know it Hunter wakes up and I have to get him.
