9th Day

Katsuki and Ochako had been sitting on a bench and eating cotton candy for about 5 minutes when Katsuki got a notification.

"What's that?" Ochako asked the blonde.

"Let's see" Katsuki said, opening his phone and pressing the notification.

It took him to instagram and the first thing he saw was a picture of him and Ochako on the bench. He looked to see who it was, to see if it was one of their classmates, but didn't recognize the user. He assumed the reason he got the notification was because he was tagged in the post. He looked around them, not seeing anybody he recognized.

"So? What is it?" She tapped him on the shoulder. "You look like you're panicking"

"Nothing, it's nothing. I think we need to leave" He whispered to her.

"What? Why? This is such a good date" She asked.

"I think so too, but I have a bad feeling in my gut. Let's just go." He grabbed her arm and pulled her up.

"Bakugou, you aren't making any sense. Let go of me" She told him.

"No, let's go. We can't stay here" He tugged on her arm.

"Let go of me" She struggled to get out of his grasp.

"Come on, let's go!" He yelled, getting irritated.

"Let go of me and i'll go!" She yelled back, still struggling.

"Shut up and let's go!" He dragged her to the car.

A few people heard their arguement and looked at the two with concerned glances.

"Is she okay?"

"What is that man doing?"

Luckily nobody interfered. If they had, Katsuki would only have gotten more angry.

The two drove home in silence. Ochako crossed her arms and looked out the window with a glare on her face, while Katsuki didn't dare look at her. If he started talking, she could either ignore him, yell at him, or break down in tears. He didn't want any of that to happen.

When they got home, Katsuki waited for Ochako to get out first. Despite her angry expression, she closed the door normally and walked inside, looking a bit nervous. Katsuki was right behind her, noting this. Why would she be nervous?

Oh.

He thought back to the moment they were leaving. Him grabbing her wrist, only now noticing the force he used. Him dragging her to the car, not realizing her scared expression. Her fiddling with something in her hands, he now realized it was because she was anxious.

She was scared of him.

He stared at the back of the girl's head as she took off her shoes, still taking it in. How could she, such a strong person, be scared of him?

He remembered something he'd been told all his life. Just because somebody looks and acts strong on the outside, doesn't mean they're as strong on the inside. He'd ignored it though. With Deku, with Kirishima, with Denki, with everyone. Ochako made it impossible to ignore.

"Hey, uh...sorry. about earlier. I was mad" He apologized.

No, not mad. The only anger he felt was because she refused to go. But if it wasn't anger, what was it?

"Mhm." She quietly hummed.

Did something happen to her to make her like this? If there was something, she must've recovered from it at least a little bit from the start of her first year. He thought that if anyone forcefully grabbed her, that she would find a way to get out of their grasp and pin them to the ground, not be scared.

"Really. I didn't mean it." He said.

"It's fine" she plainly said.

"Is there any way I can make it up to you? We can watch a movie, play a game, make food, anything." He asked.

She hesitated for a moment.

"Just watching a movie is fine i guess" She slowly agreed.

Katsuki breathed a sigh of relief.

"You go get comfortable, ill get the snacks and choose the movie" He told her, heading towards the kitchen.

Normally Ochako wouldn't have agreed to anything, but this time she felt like he really meant it. He could be one of the first people to actually mean an apology after doing something stupid or hurting her.

She went upstairs and got changed into her pajamas, washed her face, etc. And went downstairs to find Katsuki sitting on the couch with snacks, scrolling through movies.

She slowly sat down next to him and grabbed a handful of popcorn, stuffing it in her mouth so she had an excuse not to talk.

Katsuki noticed this but did nothing about it, as he already knew the reason, and if she didn't want to talk then that was fine.

He soon found a movie and looked at Ochako. She nodded and he put the movie on, adjusting himself to be more comfortable.

Halfway through the movie, Ochako noticed that Katsuki was just as uncomfortable as she was, maybe even a little nervous. She could tell he felt guilty for hurting her.

After the movie, they both headed to their rooms. Before Katsuki could go into his room, Ochako put her hand on his shoulder. Katsuki looked back and she smiled.

"It's ok" She said.

She's too forgiving for her own good, Katsuki thought. He smiled back at her anyway.

They then went into their rooms and went to sleep, but not before Katsuki texted his brown-haired friend a small "Goodnight".

(Sorry for taking so long to make this short chapter, there have been some things on my mind and I'm dealing with them. Thank you for understanding! <3)
