8th Day

Katsuki woke up first, rubbing his eyes and noticing it was 5 in the morning. It was a Saturday though, so he didn't care. He looked down at the sleeping Ochako, her head on his chest, and smiled. He out his hand on her head.

Suddenly she started gripping his shirt harder than she was before. He looked down at her with a puzzled look and saw she had a scared expression. He was a bit worried, and hugged her gently, trying not to wake her up. She did though. When she realized Katsuki was hugging her, she hugged back and closed her eyes, not caring if he heard her shaky voice.

"What happened?" He asked her.

"I had a nightmare." She quietly replied, still hugging him.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He rested his head on hers.

She shook her head.

"Can we just stay like this? Please?" She asked.

"Sure" He answered.

And they did. For 2 hours, they laid there, hugging eachother.

Eventually Katsuki brought up the fact that he should probably make food for the two, she was probably hungry. Despite her pouty face, he could tell she was. He laughed, got up, and walked to the kitchen.

After making bacon and eggs, he put two plates on the table and saw Ochako walk into the kitchen, sit down, and stare at her plate.

"Hey, dipshit. You good?" He asked the tired brunette.

"Mhm" She hummed in response.

He looked her up and down. She was wearing a light pink sweater and some white open-legged pants, her hair messy. You could tell she didn't put any kind of makeup on, but he didn't voice that.

"You don't look good. Something bothering you?" He said.

"It doesn't matter" She mumbled, picking up her fork and eating a piece of bacon.

Katsuki noted that her movements seemed like they had less effort put into them. She was usually so happy and energetic, something had to have happened.

"Really though, what happened? Did you see something shitty on instagram or something?" He asked her.

She glared at him, but answered with an annoyed "Yes."

"What was it?" He was starting to get curious.

"Nothing" She picked at her eggs.

Now, Katsuki knew that when a woman says 'Nothing', it is never nothing, and when she starts acting weird, thats when you should back off. He learnt that from his Mother. But he was curious. And besides, Ochako was nothing like his mother. Maybe it would be different?

"Yeah, but... what was it" He asked nervously.

Ochako looked up at him.

"I hate you" She sighed. "I saw Deku, Todoroki, Iida, and Tsu hanging out without me"

Katsuki was a bit confused, but pretended to understand.

"When?" He asked.

"Yesterday. I saw Iida post a picture of them all at a coffee shop." She continued picking at her food.

Now Katsuki understood. It happened to him, he was fine with it, but he understood that Ochako would definitely care. That made him angry at Ochako's friends.

"Those little shits. Hey, ignore it. They don't deserve you. They don't appreciate you enough." He growled.

Ochako looked up and smiled at him. That's the first time in a while that somebody has said something like that.

"Thanks. Do you wanna do something fun today? We could go out, get some food? I heard about a boardwalk a few days ago, we could totally go if you want" She suggested.

"Are you asking me out, cheeks?" He smirked.

She smiled and laughed.

"Yeah, why not?" She said.

"I'll see you at the door at 3" He got up from his chair and went to his room.

Ochako felt a sense of victory. She's actually going on a date with the Katsuki Bakugou! And the best part is that she asked, not him! She went upstairs and sat on her bed, thinking about what to wear.

"Are you done yet, dipshit?!" Katsuki yelled from the door.

"Almost, just give me a minute!" She yelled back.

"You said that half an hour ago." He grumbled.

A minute passed and Katsuki was getting more impatient by the second. Suddenly, he heard something by the stairs.

"Done!"

He looked over at the stairs and saw Ochako with her hair in a bun, two long strands of hair framing her face. She was wearing a fancy yet also casual orange and black dress, and had drop earrings in.

Katsuki stared in awe. She looked like a goddess to him.

"...do I look bad? Am I overdressed? I'm sorry, I can change if you want!" She apologized.

"No, you look prefect. I just have to do something quick" He ran up to his room and started looking for the pink tie he borrowed from Kirishima. The only thing he had that was pink. He knew Ochako liked pink, so he decided to put that on. Light pink wasn't so bad.

He made his way downstairs and saw her waiting for him.

"Hey, we match now! I'm wearing orange and black, and you're wearing pink!" She giggled.

"That was the plan" He told her, smiling.

"So are we just going to ignore the fact you were wearing a red tie just a minute ago?" She said.

"Yes we are" He laughed, Ochako laughing right along with him.

Katsuki and Ochako linked arms as they walked outside, the blonde telling the shorter girl horrible jokes his dad used to tell him, making her laugh even more. They got into the car Katsuki had rented and went on their way.

"There are food places at boardwalks, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, probably" She replied.

"'Kay, just checking. Don't want to play games and shit on an empty stomach" He said, laughing.

"Yeah" She agreed.

When they got there, they walked past a few places with food. They soon found themselves with corndogs , walking past various games.

Eventually, they found a game that had decent-sized Kirby plushies as prizes.

"Bakugou, look! They're so cute!" Ochako exclaimed, pointing at the stuffed toys.

"Why don't you try and win one, cheeks?" Katsuki suggested with a smile.

"Thats a great idea, let's go!" She laughed as she pulled him to the game.

The goal was to shoot all 10 moving targets. If you succeeded, they would give you a Kirby. If you failed to get them, you wouldn't win a prize. Katsuki paid the employee to let Ochako play, and she cracked her knuckles, feeling confident.

"I've got this." She hyped herself up.

The brunette took hold of the small gun-like machine used for the game and started shooting at the targets. She couldn't see any misses, but at the end of the game, it said she missed 3 targets.

She sulked. She was so confident.

Katsuki saw this and paid the employee again.

"Bakugou, what are you doing?" She asked him.

"Getting you that fucking toy" He replied with a smirk.

He grabbed the gun-like machines and started shooting violently at the targets. Everyone near that stand looked over to see what was happening, and they all watched.

When everyone saw his score, they gasped.

A perfect 10.

He was soon handed a Kirby toy turned around to give it to Ochako.

"Woah, that was amazing Bakugou! How did you do that?" She asked him.

"I practice that kind of thing alot. You know, in case I ever need it" He replied, brushing it off like it was nothing.

Ochako giggled and hugged her Kirby.
