12th Day

Ochako turned around as fast as she could and hit him.

"I spent money on this shampoo, you better like it!" She yelled.

"Not all shampoo is good!" He yelled back.

Ochako didn't respond and stood up.

"Where are you going?" He asked her.

"You're being mean, so I'm going to bake myself some cookies" She walked to the kitchen.

Katsuki sighed.

"Fine, I like it! Happy now?" He lied.

She peeked out from behind the wall.

"You mean it?" She asked.

"Yes" he lied once more.

She skipped back into the room and laid back down on him, covering them up with the blanket again. Katsuki looked down at the girl he decided to take responsibility for and sighed.

"Why are you like this?" He mumbled to himself.

"Hm?" She looked at him.

"Nothing" He replied.

"Kay" she closed her eyes again.

Katsuki rested his head on Ochako's and they went from cuddling to taking a nap together.

.

.

.

Katsuki woke up to a slap in the face from Ochako.

"What the fuck was that for?!" He held the side of his face.

"I've been trying to wake you up for fifteen minutes! I've tried everything!" She told him, holding up a plate of oreos. "I even tried using these"

Katsuki couldn't blame her. He'd been told by many people that he can be a heavy sleeper, and that was usually what caused him to be late for middle school.

"Let's go somewhere" He said out of nowhere.

"What? Where would we go?" She asked him.

"Anywhere. The park?" He suggested.

"That sounds nice. Especially since it's late" She smiled.

"You like walking late at night?" He asked.

"Yeah, its so calming not having anyone bother you while you're on a walk" She replied, standing up. "I'll go change"

She then went upstairs to her bedroom to change. Katsuki did the same.

When they finished changing, they met at the front door.

Ochako was wearing a black skirt with matching tights. She had a pink short sleeved shirt on, and wore white fingerless gloves. She put on a pair of pink sneakers.

Katsuki had jeans on (not particularly the cleanest), and an orange sweater. He put his pair of black sneakers on.

"Ready to go?" He asked.

"Yup" She replied, grabbing his hand and leading him outside.

She inhaled the cool air, looking up at the sky.

"We just got out here and it's already beautiful" She said.

Katsuki smiled.

"You know what else is beautiful?" He asked.

"What?" Ochako looked at him, blushing a bit.

"Me" He chuckled.

"You're so mean" She huffed.

They continued to walk and talk, eventually reaching the park they planned on going to. They sat down on a bench.

"You can get a glimpse of everything here. The trees, the flowers, the grass, everything. You can even see the lights from buildings in the background" She pointed out, smiling the whole time.

"You really notice a lot, don't ya?" He looked at her.

"Of course I do. If you don't pay attention to these kinds of things, you'll be angry and on-edge forever" She replied, looking at the beautiful scene.

Katsuki looked at her. He didn't notice how smart she really is. And if not smart, then wise. Both. That was one of the reasons he fell in love with her. She was the exact opposite of him. Now he really understood the phrase 'Opposites attract'.

"You know, I've admired you since we first met. Your determination was so...inspiring. Sure, you're loud, but you make sure that when you want something, you get it. That's important." She said, looking at him now.

"Really? I always thought you hated me and shit because of my attitude" He mumbled.

"Yeah, your attitude was absolute shit, but you still had some good qualities. I didn't have the guts to say it though. And even if I did, my pride would have gotten in the way. When we argued, I felt so powerful. Arguing with you, the Katsuki Bakugou. I don't know why, but i loved it" She explained with a small smile.

He smiled a bit.

"Maybe it's because you were arguing with such an amazing person" He pointed to himself.

"I guess so" She laughed.

They gazed up at the night sky together, admiring each star they looked at. It was so calming, Katsuki felt he could go to sleep to this. He wouldn't mind.

It was silent for a moment.

Ochako knew what she wanted to do. She looked at Katsuki out of the corner of her eye and smirked.

"Can we pretend airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars-" She sang.

Katsuki cringed and covered his face.

"YOU RUINED THE MOMENT YOU ASSHOLE" He yelled.

Ochako laughed hard. She knew he would react like that, especially since it's a popular meme. Katsuki crossed his arms like a child.

"Aw, don't be like that" She put her hand on his shoulder.

"I was enjoying the moment" He pouted.

"Well, that's what you get for your little comment about my shampoo earlier" She replied, smirking.

"I was telling the truth" He mumbled to himself.

"I used all my money to buy it though, so you better compliment it." She told him.

"Ugh, fine. It's very...interesting." He said.

Technically he didn't lie, but he wanted Ochako off his back about it, so he just went with that. She seemed to buy it.

"Thank you. There was a men's version, maybe I'll buy it for you when I get enough money" She said, knowing he wouldn't like the idea.

"No, No- no thanks. I don't want to...uh, waste your money." He said, panicking a bit.

"I'm just teasing you" She laughed.

Katsuki pouted once more while Ochako continued laughing.

"Let's go back" He says, standing up.

"Why? Everything's just starting" Ochako told him, smiling.

"What do you mean? This is stupid" He huffed.

"Just sit down, idiot" She rolled her eyes.

Katsuki sat down, waiting for something to happen. A minute went by, and still nothing.

"You're making me sit here for nothing, aren't you?" He glared at her.

"Be patient" She said to him, still looking.

"Tch, fine" He looked with her.

Another minute.

"Something big better happen because I'm getting pissed off" He mumbled.

"Oh be quiet. Something will happen" She replied.

"What, do you not know what's going to happen?" He looked at her.

"No, I do. I'm just waiting for it" She said to the blonde, making him groan.

"This is taking way too long" He put his hands on his face.

"Shut up" She commanded.

Another minute.

"This is taking way too much time, let's-" Katsuki started.

"Look!" Ochako pointed to the sky.

There was a loud bang-crack kind of sound. Katsuki looked to see what made the noise, and was astounded.

Fireworks.

Everywhere.

Red, blue, yellow, green, and everything in between. Even colors that weren't in the rainbow, like pink. The few other people that were in the park were admiring them too, they heard a few 'Ooh's and 'Ah's from the other people. Everything was brighter too, it was like the lights from the city got even lighter.

It was beautiful. He looked at Ochako, who was smiling so wide her cheeks must have hurt. She was obviously enjoying the event too.

He moved closer to the girl and looked at her, watching her admire the sight.

Ochako inhaled slowly. She knew he was watching her, so she tried to act normal.

He moved a bit closer and put his hand up to her face slowly, making sure she was ok with it beforehand. She was.

The teenagers looked at eachother with a look in their eyes that could only be described as hope. Different hope, though. Katsuki was hoping he didn't screw this up, Ochako was hoping he didn't suddenly stop.

They slowly moved closer to eachother, unsure of what to do. Ochako had a bit of experience, but it wasn't her happiest memory so she ignored it. Katsuki had never kissed a girl before, other than his mom, and he stopped doing that when he was 5. This was a different type of kiss anyway.

They looked eachother in the eyes. Katsuki then moved in, and right as a firework lit up the sky...

They kissed.

It was a loving kiss. A kiss that let out all of their emotions towards eachother. The anger, the sadness, the happiness, but above all, the love. Oh the love. For a moment, it felt like they were the only two people in the world.

They pulled away after what felt like hours, but in reality it was a single minute.

They smiled.

"We should do this more often" Katsuki put his hand over Ochako's.
