THAT MORNING AT WORK THEY HAD reviewed a call from Wayne Munson to go to thr trailer park and now it was 9am and they were investigating a murder.

He had explained how he had found the body of some young girl in his house when he had arrived home this morning and that his nephew was missing.

"I swear, I don't know who she is," Wayne said to Powell before turning around and seeing Bea, "Oh little Henderson, how are you,"

Her dad had worked with Wayne for a while and that's when she'd met both Eddie and his uncle, "I'm good Mr Munson, I'll get this sorted out for ya okay," she said with a smile on her face.

They walked in, all of them looking in shock at the scene they were presented with. "Holy mother of God," Calahan muttered under his breath as he surveyed the area.

She gasped, hand on her mouth as she looked at the scene in front of her. It was Chrissy Cunningham with her eyes missing and her limbs twisted in ways that a body shouldn't be twisted.

They completed the analysis, Bea feelings a bit sick about the whole thing. That's when they heard that Jason Carver, Chrissys boyfriend, had had a party last night at Bennys diner.

When they arrived at Benny's, Powell instantly called over Jason and sat him down, the three police officers on the other side of the table.

"You can ask anyone here, I've been here all night," Jason stated, looking at the three opposite him

"Oh we will, I also note that there's a lot of beer here, you have fun last night?" She questioned, knowing exactly what a high school party looked like.

"You gonna arrest me for drinking, that's rich coming from you Henderson. Didn't you and Harrington spend your last summer drinking and partying and having sex in his pool?" He said and she tensed up, anger boiling in her veins.

"First of all, drinking underage is against the law. Second of all, I've never touched alcohol in my life. Third, it's Officer Henderson to you Mr Carver and you better watch your mouth before I lock you up for verbally assaulting a police officer, I don't care who your daddy is," she stated.

Calahan smiled, proud of the way she handled it. He had always promised Hopper to look after her and now with her gone he mentored her and saw her like his own child - or sibling.

"I second all that, and trespassing is also very illegal. You talk about her like that again kid and see where that gets ya," Calahan said, narrowing his eyes at the boy.

"People have been trespassing here for years man, act like you don't know," he spat out, his hatred for authority clear.

"What about your girlfriend, Chrissy, she party here last night?" Bea questioned, narrowing her eyes when Jason said she wasn't there, "Thats odd, what with her being your girlfriend and all,"

"Why you asking about Chris, and I'm sure you went to parties without your boyfrie-" He began, obviously annoyed that a girl only 2 years older than him was telling him what to do.

Calahan cut him off, "Say another word Mr Carver, I dare you," he ordered, almost glaring at him.

Powell asked about Eddie and if he'd ever seen him and Chrissy talk and the boy seemed shocked at the insinuation that she'd buy drugs, stating she never did that sort of stuff.

"What does Eddie have to do with all of this, did did freak hurt her?" He questioned.

Powell closed his notepad and the group began to walk out, looking at the gaggle of teenage boys loitering around.

When she saw Lucas she sighed, realising he was caught up in this, "Sinclair, you get your ass over here," she called over.

He waked over slowly, looking at the girl that he had known since he was about 7 as she caught him commiting a crime.

"I don't want to see you drinking underage, trespassing and doing god knows what again you hear me?" Bea said and he stood there awkwardly, "I said you hear me?" He nodded and she sighed, smiling at him, "Don't get yourself mixed up with the wrong sort kid,"

When they got back to the station, Flo explained to the boys about the questions that they had received before they went off to work.

"Oh, Bea sweetie, you've got some calls and messages," Flo said with a smile, "You've got one from your mum asking if you're okay, you've got four from Steve checking in on you after he hears the news and one from some man named Murray Bauman who said he's going to California,"

"Thanks Flo," she said, smiling as she picked up the folders off of her desk.

She walked over to Powell, "Hey Chief, um, can I take my stuff and work at home today. The whole Chrissy stuff really hit close to home today," she asked and he nodded, agreeing for her to have a half day.

Bea thanked him before saying goodbye to Calahan and grabbing her stuff before walking to the video store.

Right now she just wanted to be around people she cared about and she knew he'd let her work from the back room even if Saturday was their busiest day.

When she got to the Video Store Steve rushed out from behind the desk, pulling her in for a hug, "I'm so glad you're okay," he whispered in her ear, holding her tight.

She chuckled, pressing a kiss to his lips, "I'm good, I promise," she said before looking past him at Max and Dustin who were running around, "What are they doing here?"

As they went to the back room where she had a set of spare clothes, she got changed as he explained what they had found out. According to Max it was Chrissy Cunningham and she had been with Eddie at the time.

"I know Steve, I've been working on the case for the last 4 hours," she explained as she pulled a worn star wars top over her head.

She walked out with him as she explained what had happened to Chrissy and that's when Dustin explained that they had been calling all known contacts.

"Hey guys, I might have a lead. Apparently Eddie crashes with this guy Reefer Rick. He doesn't have a last name and nobody knows where he lives," Max explained as she got off the phone.

"Bet the cops know. If he's a drug dealer I guarantee his he's been busted at some point," Steve suggested, clearly not too fond of Eddie.

"I'm not jeopardising my job for Eddie Munson," Bea said as everyone turned to look at her.

"You think he did it Steve, don't you?" Dustin questioned.

Steve held his hands up in surrender, "I belive in innocent until proven guilty but I don't think er can rule it out,"

"Maybe we'd have a little bit more luck if you weren't flirting with random girls in aisles when you're dating my sister and you spend more time trying to find Eddie," Dustin said, obviously annoyed at the older boy.

"Flirting with girls?" Bea asked, a hint of jealousy in her voice as she turned to look at Steve.

"Someone has to attend to the customers," he said, his hands once again held up in surrender.

That's when Robin had the genius idea to look through the film store database to see if this man had booked a film. That's when they found his house, the group preparing for the trip.

They drove to the shack that Reefer Rick supposedly lived in - which was coincidentally in the middle of nowhere - and they made their way to the shed in the back after realising the house was empty.Β

"Hello? Is anyone home?" Bea asked as she walked in first, opening the door to the dingy room.

Steve grabbed an oar, beginning to pour at a tarp over a boat as the others scoured the rest of the room for sny trace of Eddie.

"What are you doing?" Dustin asked as he watched Steve.

"He might be in here," He replied, continuing his poking of the tarp

Robin pointed out a bowl of food and Max nodded, "Maybe he got spooked and ran," she suggested.

"Don't worry, maybe Steve will get him with his oar," Bea said, clearly still annoyed about the whole flirting issue from earlier.

Steve sighed, looking at her, "Bear, listen. I know it's been hard for you at work but I wasn't flirting with those girls, it's just Dustin being an idea," he explained, taking her hands in his.

"I know. I just missed you and was hoping we could have a few weeks to ourselves and it just be me and you. We had that weekend away planned and this messed it all up," she explained.

He whispered an I love you before pulling her in for a hug, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Bea muttered it back, her arms wrapped around him.

"Scary Steve with his oar and monologue, you two can make it up at home not while Steves poking a dead body," Dustin said, once again interrupting their moment.

"Well seeing as everyone in this room has died nearly a hundred time I don't think it's funny-" Steve began to say before he was cut off.

Eddie had jumped out from underneath the tarp, grabbing a knife he had brought with him and pressing Steve up against the wall, the knife pressed against his throat.

Everyone began to panic as they realised the predicament they'd gotten themselves into. Bea pulled out her police gun from her holster, pointing it at the two with shaky hand.

"Eddie its Dustin, this is Steve, my sisters boyfriend. He's not gonna hurt you," Dustin tried to reason with him but he wasn't listening, "Steve why don't you drop the oar,"

Steve nodded, dropping the oar but Eddie just pressed the knife against his throat even harder so that Bea could hear her boyfriend wince in pain.

"He's cool Eddie okay, please let him go," Bea pleaded, eyes locking with Steve as she began to lower her gun.

"What are you doing here?" Eddie asked, a desperate tone to his voice.

"We're here to help," Robin said, trying to reason with him in whatever way he could.

"Eddie these are my friends. You know my sister Bea, this is her best friend Robin, our friend Max and you've become acquainted with Steve. We're on your side," Dustin explained and Eddie dropped the knife.

Bea rushed to Steves side, checking his neck for any cuts but he just brushed it off, telling her not to worry as he wrapped an arm around her waist.

When Eddie had calmed down, they sat him down and Dustin asked what had happened with Chrissy.

Eddie scoffed, looking up at the group, "You won't belive me," he said.

"Try us," Bea said as she smiled at him, leaning her head on Steves shoulder.

He explained everything about what had happened. She was just trying to buy drugs and when he'd come back into the room her body was twitching and that's when she began to float.

"Her body just lifted into thr air and she just hung there. And her bones-" he explained, cutting himself off as he realised he couldn't quite explain how horrific it was.

"It's okay Eddie," Dustin said as he smiled at his friend.

"Her bones started to snap. Her eyes looked like something was inside her head, pulling. I didn't know whay to do so I ran away, leaving her there," Eddie explained, scoffing as he looked at the group, "You all think I'm crazy right,"

"We believe you. We've seen some pretty crazy shit. What I'm about to tell tou may seem a bit difficult but Hawkins is cursed," Dustin said before he explained it.

He explained it all. About El and the upside down. He explained what had happened with the mindflayer taking over Will and then taking over Billy to try and create an army. He explained about the Russians in Hawkins and the cover up of the mall fire.

By the end Eddie seemed in shock and they realised it was getting late. Bea opted to stay with him for protection as she was the only one with a gun.

"You be safe okay, you call me if you need me baby," Steve said as he handed the walkie talkie to her.

Bea chuckled, "Of course, I love you Steve," she said and he said it back before kissing her on the forehead and leaving with the rest of the group.
