"This jacket looks pretty, should I buy it?" Jihee asked, showing him the picture from her phone.

They were currently in the cafeteria, waiting for Sunoo to show up. The past day Jungwon accompanied her to buy a phone. When they got to the store, she asked for the most expensive one. And that wasn't even the surprising part, the most surprising part was she paid the phone full price with cash from her bag.

She kept pulling money from her bag that he almost thought she was some magician. The gentleman assisting them was also surprised to see two teenagers carrying so much money.

Ever since then, Jungwon swore never to shop for anything expensive with her.

"Stop spending so much money." He said but she didn't like that response so she turned her head away from him to continue her online shopping.

"Jihee! Jungwon!" They both raised their head to look at Sunoo who called their names. Unexpectedly, Byeol was next to him which of course shocked Jungwon. "Byeol asked if she could join us."

"It's fine. We don't mind." Jungwon smiled sweetly, earning scoffs from Jihee who sat beside him.

"Hi Jihee." Byeol greeted the other girl.

"Hey." Jihee greets her back because she didn't want to seem like a horrible person.

They all sat together and Jungwon kept talking to Byeol so the atmosphere wasn't too awkward. Sunoo and Jihee would constantly glance at each other because the other two were in their own world.

"Ah by the way, you never sit with us Byeol. Did something happen?" Sunoo asked out of curiosity.

"Sunghoon and I are taking a break."

Everyone's eyes widened when the electricity suddenly went off. Everyone screamed out of shock, except for Jungwon who immediately glances at Jihee. His eyes widened when he sees her chopstick was stabbed into the tonkatsu. He nudged her in the arm because he knew it was because of her why the electricity suddenly went off.

The electricity returned but Jihee's expression was no better.

"That was weird." Sunoo said, looking at the lights that turned on.

"I don't feel really good. Can I leave?" Jihee stood up and before anyone could protest, she walked to the clinic.

Jungwon wanted to chase her but Byeol stopped him. "I'm sure she'll be fine."

Jihee opened the door to the clinic. She held unto her stomach that she casted a spell on to make it believable that she had a stomachache.

Right now, she needed to calm her mind. As a stranger, it was never new to her that her interference would change everything. Those changes could either be good or bad. But she always knew what was going to happen because she could teleport to the future then back to the past. So she prevented horrible things from happening.

Her eyes weren't golden for a reason. With her eyes, she could see the fate of people but if she gets involved in that person's life, she loses the ability to see that person's fate.

Just like with Jungwon, the moment their eyes locked, she lost the ability to see his fate.

Now that she has no teleportation, she can't easily prevent bad things from happening. And something about that world made her not want to harm it.

Maybe it was because it's been so long since she last met kind and ordinary people.

"Do you need anything?" Jihee heard a woman's voice speak. She gazed to her side and saw a woman sitting by the desk, wearing her white coat. "Hm? I haven't seen you before? Are you the new student?"

"Ah yes I'm Ahn Jihee, I have a stomachache." She answers.

The nurse guided her to a bed and told her to wait. She returned with a hot compress and medicine to which she advised Jihee to drink.

Jihee still drank it in the end even though it wouldn't do a thing to her.

"Here take a rest okay?" The nurse smiled before closing the curtains to give her some privacy.

She decided to take a rest by returning to her online shopping. But alas, even fate didn't want to give that to her because the curtain separating the two beds in the clinic was suddenly moved to the side.

Jihee's eyes widened when she sees Sunghoon sitting at the other bed.

She scoffs and laughed a little. "You're back here again?"

Sunghoon nods. His gaze fell to the hot compress placed on top of her stomach. "Stomachache?"

"Yeah, what are you doing here? Did you get beaten up again?" She asked.

"No, I'm just here to hide." He answers.

She raised her eyebrow. "From Byeol?" He pressed his lips together and looked away when she got it right. "And the nurse just allowed you to hide here?"

"Of course, she likes me." Sunghoon said proudly.

"No I don't."

Jihee laughed when the nurse replied to his smug remark. Sunghoon pouts and refused to reply to the nurse. "What are you doing with your phone?" He asked to continue the conversation between them.

"Oh online shopping." She answered, showing the phone to him. "Do you think this shoes would look good with our uniform?"

"Hm I think you would look good—" He was cut off when the sound of the door opening stole the attention of everyone in the room.

"Hello?"

And there he was like she expected.

Jungwon entered the infirmary, looking at the nurse. "Excuse me, is Ahn Jihee here?"

"Why? Do you need something from her?" The nurse kindly asked.

Jihee stood up and pulled the curtain to the side so she could face Jungwon. He looked at her as if he was relieved that she didn't seem so angry as he imagined.

"I'm okay now ma'am. Can I leave now?" Jihee smiled at the nurse. The school nurse replied with a nod before grabbing the hot compress that Jihee handed to her.

Jungwon's eyes widened when he saw Sunghoon in the other bed, staring at the two with a blank expression. He mustered up a smile for the individual, then he faced Jihee who was already at the doorway waiting for him.

The two of them got out of the infirmary and faced each other. Jungwon was a bit taller than her so she looked up to him as if she was asking him what he was doing there.

"Fine you can blame me. I didn't mean to mess with fate. I'm sorry." He apologized.

She raised her eyebrow. "I don't blame you."

"You don't?"

Jihee rolled her eyes. "I don't. It's my fault really, I've lost track of what your destinies are going to be but this is an ordinary occurrence for a stranger."

"Does online shopping really ease your anger? You blamed me yesterday for messing with fate." Jungwon asked and his anxiety vanished when she snickered. Meaning to say he didn't have to be afraid that his schoolmates would suddenly turn into cats.

"That's because your interference could have harmed someone." She crossed her arms.

"This time your destinies are now in your hands."

"Huh? What do you mean? Was it never ours?"

Jihee nodded. "It has always been in fate's hands but now that you've strayed from the one she wrote for you, what happens to you is entirely up to you."

And just how much the stranger would interfere with your lives.

Jungwon didn't know whether to be afraid or not now that the course of his fate was his to decide. All he knows that he'll try his best not to jeopardize it anymore because of his recklessness.

And because he wanted to ease Jihee's worries. He knows out of everyone she'll blame herself more if something bad were to happen.

"I'll be careful. I won't worry you anymore."
