"Are you waiting for Jihee?" Byeol asked Jungwon as they stopped walking when they reached the gate.

"Yeah, she has my bag and well I usually go home with her." Jungwon replies.

After he ran away from Jihee, he tried to set aside the fact that she was definitely going to be angry at him for disobeying fate. When he got to Byeol, she already had the fight covered so there wasn't much he had to do but comfort her. She was so down because everyone found out about her and Sunghoon.

"What are you going to do now that everybody knows about you and Sunghoon?" He asked.

She shrugs while sighing at the same time. "I don't know, maybe it's best if we take a break. These past few days we've been fighting so much, I guess we both deserve some time to think."

"I hope you're sure about your decision." He says.

Then Jungwon heard footsteps from behind him. Turning his head, he caught sight of her familiar golden eyes. Jihee was standing there while holding his bag with an angry expression. She looked like she was on the verge of starting an apocalypse because of her anger.

She walked forward and threw Jungwon's bag at him, going straight ahead without waiting for him.

"I'm sorry Byeol, I have to go." He quickly apologizes to Byeol before chasing Jihee. "Wait Jihee!"

"Jihee!" He called her but she continued to angrily stomps away from him. "Jihee!" He got a hold of her wrist. "I'm sorry."

She rolled her eyes. "If my powers worked on you, you would have been a cockroach by now." She glared at him.

"Look nothing bad happened—"

"No Jungwon. There's a reason why I'm careful with interfering with your lives. Changing the story written by fate is dangerous." She explained. "I've been in hundreds of realities and I've seen many lives end because of my interference. And this time, without my ability to change time, I am unable to save anyone."

He never thought of that. He never realized how dangerous messing with fate was. He looked down guiltily and apologized once more.

"I'm sorry."

Jihee takes a deep breath before she spoke once more. "Just be careful sometimes. Who knows what could've happened to Sunghoon if I hadn't interfered."

"Huh? What happened?" Jungwon stopped walking to ask her.

"Sunghoon was getting beaten up earlier and supposedly, Byeol was fated to save him but because you kept her distracted I had to do it myself." She crossed her arms while rolling her eyes annoyingly.

"Don't tell me you turned one of them into a rat and erased the witnesses' memories." He frowned, remembering when she saw two people fighting in the street. He had to hold her back because she wanted to turn them into rats just so they would stop fighting.

A scowl appear on her face. "I did not turn them into rats, is that really how you think of me?"

"But?"

She averts her gaze elsewhere and pouts. "I may have ended Kyungho's generation." He sighed. "Look if it makes you feel any better, it's your fault."

"How is that supposed to make me feel better? And how is it my fault— You know what? It's better not to  anger you unless I want the world to end." Jungwon gave in but Jihee's expression didn't change a bit. "Let me make it up to you."

She crossed her arms, thinking deeply. "I don't think there's anything you can do for me." She shrugs.

Jungwon frowned because he also thinks there was nothing he could do for her. What could he possibly do for someone who can do anything?

The two of them continued to walk quietly. Jungwon stole a glance and he noticed how her golden eyes shone as she stared at the vendors they passed by. And then an idea entered his mind. He grabbed her wrist all of a sudden and pulled her to the nearest street food stand.

"Y-Ya!" Jihee protests.

"Two servings of tteokbeokki please." Jungwon smiled at the vendor.

"Do you think I haven't tasted tteokbeokki before?" Jihee crossed her arms.

He chuckled. "You haven't tasted tteokbeokki from this world." He proudly says to which he earned an eye roll. "Sorry she's from another country." He tells the vendor to avoid causing suspicions.

"Sorry about him he's a bit noisy, he has no self control." Jihee forced a smile, grabbing the first serving of tteokbeokki.

"The two of you makes me miss youth." The vendor grins at them. "Here is yours." She hands the next serving to Jungwon.

"Thank you ma'am!" He cheerfully says, handing her the money. The two of them walked away while eating the tteokbeokki he bought for them. He looked at her reaction and he stifled a laugh when he noticed how she stopped herself from reacting after taking a bite. "Just how much pride do you have?"

She scoffs. "Can you stop watching me?" He snickers and nods before looking ahead again.

Despite her tremendous pride, she still enjoyed it. She had tteokbeokki once in another reality, but the tteokbeokki she was having at that moment tasted even better. She didn't want to admit it but she was really glad Jungwon bought her food.

But there was no reality where she'll ever admit that!

"Which reminds me, you need a phone." He suddenly says, finishing the last of his food. "I had no idea how to contact you earlier."

"Give me your trash." She extends her hand and he hands it to her with a confused expression. "It's a hassle throwing this in the garbage. We'll only be contributing to pollution." She said, putting it in her bag. "Don't worry, I made it disappear."

"Tsk you completely ignored what I said." He rolled his eyes.

She laughed. "I heard you. Come on, let's go to the mall."

And once again, Jungwon couldn't help but smile.

"Sunghoon! What happened to you?" Jake rushed inside the infirmary after receiving a text from his best friend that he was in there.

"Hey." That was all Sunghoon could say.

"I've been looking for you since earlier. Everyone found out about you and Byeol!" Jake delivered the unexpected news to Sunghoon.

Sunghoon pinched the bridge of his nose. "Have you seen Byeol?"

Jake nods. "She was with Jungwon."

Sunghoon pressed his lips together. He suddenly remembered the conversation he had with Jihee earlier. As much as he wanted to fight for Byeol, he knew what they had was slowly coming to an end.

"Can you walk?" Jake asked.

Sunghoon pulled Jake's arms as support but he was surprised when his leg suddenly felt better. It was as if he wasn't struggling to walk earlier.

"H-Huh? My leg is healed already?" He wondered. "I couldn't even walk earlier."

"By the way, who treated you? The school nurse was out for the day." Jake asked.

"Jihee."

"Who?!"

Sunghoon rolled his eyes. "Ahn Jihee."

"Why would she help you?"

Sighing, "Beats me."

Then they heard the door open. Both their heads turn to that direction and Sunghoon was surprised to see Byeol there.

"Byeol."

"Sunghoon, we need to talk."
