As Jungwon unlocked the gate, he heard the gate next door suddenly open. Both Jihee and Jungwon's attention was stolen by the neighbor who was just about to get out of their lovely abode.

Sunoo reveals himself and he was a surprised to see Jungwon along with a girl he didn't know. He completely forgot his best friend lived next door and since Jihee wasn't using any invisibility spell, he was sure Sunoo could see her.

"Jungwon? What are you doing here? You never go here on the weekdays." Sunoo asks. His eyes then averts to the girl who only stood there, unbothered by the situation they were in. Jungwon on the other hand was already panicking as he tried to think of a plausible lie that his friend would believe. "Um, who is she?" He asks again, looking back at his friend. "Do you go to the same school as us?" He must've concluded they go to the same school because she was wearing their uniform.

Jungwon didn't know what to answer but luckily Jihee was used to making up excuses on the spot. "Hi! I'm Ahn Jihee, yes I'm a new student. I'm in Class C. You must've failed to see me earlier, the cafeteria was packed after all."

"Oh okay! Hi I'm Kim Sunoo from Class B!" The adorable man extends his hand kindly to her, to which she accepted by grabbing it and shaking it softly. "What are you doing with Jungwon? Do you guys know each other?"

"I met his parents on one of their trips and we're acquainted." She explained with a smile plastered on her face.

"Yes, they allowed her to rent our old house for the time being so I'm showing it to her." Jungwon adds to strengthen their excuse.

Sunoo seemed to have believed them because he did not ask any more questions. "Alright! I hope to be friends with you soon." He gleamed at her before turning his head to Jungwon. "I'll be heading off to buy some things for my parents. See you both in school!"

"Bye!" Jihee waved as she watched Sunoo walk away from them. The two of them entered the gate first before she spoke. "He's cute."

Jungwon chuckles before unlocking the door to the house so she could finally see the inside. The house was very spacious with its two floors and who knows how many rooms. It was very much evident that it was a family home. It was beautifully decorated, to which Jihee would have to compliment his parents for.

She was starting to feel bad that she'd only be using the house for the night when she needs to sit for awhile or if she's too lazy to go on a night stroll.

"My grandmother usually comes by in the weekends so—"

"Don't worry I'll only be present here in the night." She said, stopping him midway.

He wanted to ask more but he knew it wasn't his business as to what she does on a daily basis. "So I guess that's it. You can just pick out a room if you need a place to sleep at and there's no food in the fridge sorry."

She chuckles as she walked around the house. "It's fine. I told you I don't need to eat."

In front of a wall was a white vintage drawer with nothing placed on top. It was located at the living room just below their family portrait attached to a wall. Jihee decided it was the perfect place to put the candle.

Jungwon watched her as she make a bright light with her hand while she faces their family portrait. Seconds later a candle inside a glass dome appeared on her hands. She placed it carefully on top of the drawer before dusting her hands proudly.

"What's with the candle?" She looked at him after hearing the question.

"The candle signifies my time here. Once the wax is all melted and the light dies, that means I must go." She explains. "Even if you blow it, the fire will not die. It takes about ten months for the candle to be finished up. Fate taught me that spell when I first started as a stranger."

Ten months.

So it means she was going to be stuck in their reality for ten months. He felt bad that because of him, she was tied to this world for that long.

"Sorry about that." He apologized all of a sudden.

She smiled and pats him on the shoulder. "Don't worry. Ten months is a short time for someone like me plus I have things to preoccupy me for the time being."

"That being spying on my schoolmates?" He slightly smiled when she scoffed. "I have to go now, it's getting late. My grandmother must be worried, I'll see you at school..." He paused for a short while. "Jihee."

He wasn't used to calling her by a name but he knows he could get used to it. "Okay then. Don't worry, your house is safe with me." She gave him a wink as she clicked her tongue.

Once he got out of the gate, he stared back at the house one more time before he walked away to go home.

Next day, Jungwon had recently discovered Jihee altered the memories of the whole Class C (maybe even the whole school) so they'd believe she was their classmate.

They all believe Jihee was an orphan being supported by her long distant relatives who live in a faraway country. He only realized she specifically chose Class C because Park Sunghoon was there which made her goal of spying on him, easier.

"Did you also alter their memories in a way that would make you instantly famous?" Jungwon asked as he walked with Jihee who waited for him outside their classroom. The fact that news of the new student reached his classroom already proved that she became famous in a short period of time.

She slaps the back of his head in a soft but also annoying way. "Why would I need to do that? Do you know how tiring it is just altering their memories to know me?"

"Shouldn't you be watching particular lovers?" He questions when he realized she was with him instead of following Sunghoon.

She shrugged. "They don't have any good scenes today. Already watched them yesterday, they had a fight so girlie must be in a bad mood today."

Speak of the devil. Jungwon sees Byeol leaned on her locker, busily rummaging on her phone with the biggest frown on her face. He looked at Jihee as if he was asking her if it was a good idea to talk to Byeol.

"Do what you want." Jihee says in a bored manner. And so, he walked towards Byeol's direction with Jihee tailing behind him.

"Byeol!" Jungwon called out to his friend and he noticed how she forced herself to smile upon making eye contact with him. "You okay?"

"Jungwon, hi. Yes, I'm okay." Byeol answered with her sweet voice. Her eyes then averted to Jihee who was standing just behind Jungwon. "Oh? You're the new student aren't you? Ahn Jihee, was it?"

"Hi yes, I'm Ahn Jihee. You're Im Byeol, right?" Jihee smiled as Byeol answered with a nod. "Sorry I'll leave the two of you alone. I was just accompanying my friend here." She says, pointing at him.

Byeol's gaze falls at the person walking in the hallways, just behind Jihee. Jihee, on the other hand, could tell Sunghoon was walking to Byeol's direction. This scenes was in the movie after all.

But she didn't tell Jungwon, afraid that this scene may never happen in the future.

"N-No it's fine, I'll go. I still have to be somewhere." She suddenly excused herself. "I'll go now Jungwon, can we just talk later? I still have to apologize for just leaving your notebook yesterday."

"Byeol!" A voice from behind called out to the already panicking girl.

Jungwon looked to his back and saw Sunghoon approaching them while Jihee leaned on the locker, suppressing her smile as she felt the atmosphere getting more intense.

"I-I have to go." Byeol runs away the moment Sunghoon got to them.

Sunghoon was about to chase after her but Jungwon blocked his path. If Jihee was invisible right now, she could've made popcorn with her magic as she watched them.

"Step aside." Sunghoon said, his voice warning the latter.

"It's obvious Byeol is uncomfortable, let her be." Jungwon replies. She was seeing a new side to the boy that cowered in fear whenever he sees her using her powers. But she's lived long enough to know that love can change someone so much.

"You know nothing." Sunghoon glares at him, stepping aside once more to chase Byeol.

Jungwon had no choice but to watch him chase after Byeol. He was about to run to their direction as well but Jihee managed to grab his wrist before he could do anything rash.

"But--"

She rolled her eyes. "He's not going to catch up to her. Don't worry about it." He calmed down after hearing what she said.

"You knew this was going to happen, didn't you?" He asked her. "I caught you stifling a smile."

"You're about to see me lie a lot more, Yang Jungwon. This is just the beginning."
