Up All Night

a/n: surprise! another imagine BUT it's not a Mike imagine! also, second surprise! it snowed here in Georgia for the second time this winter! AND, third surprise! school was cancelled today and tomorrow! now, on with the imagine :)

Tattered clothes that were soaked with blood stuck to your sweaty body as you ran out down one of the hallways in Hawkin's Lab and towards an empty closet.

Your hand found the knob but not before you collided with the door, causing a loud bump to arise and you had to close the door behind you before the demo dogs that were chasing you, found you.

You tried to find your breath but it seemed impossible.

The only thing you could hear outside of the thick, wooden doors was the low growling sound of a demodog.

"___?" You heard the voice in your ear remembering that you had help on the inside.

You tried to get ahold of your breathing in order to quickly respond to the person elsewhere in the building.

"___?" They repeated.

You finally were able to speak, but with a small stutter. "Y-Yes? I'm here."

You could hear your heart pounding rapidly in your ears as you waited for a response, that came quite quickly considering your current situation.

"What closet did you go into?" They asked.

You weren't sure where you were in the Labs. You had gone down with Bob but he left you, making his way easily out of here and was probably with the others, waiting outside for you.

"I-I'm not sure. I just f-found one while r-running." You responded, trying to keep your voice low in fear of the demodogs finding out your location.

You weren't about to die.

"I need some sort of sign so I can help you navigate your way out of here, alright? Can you do that?"

You felt your anxiety begin spiking levels that had never even come close to reaching before. This was all real and very much so in a sense that scared you right to your very last bit of confidence.

"Can you do that?"

You nodded, even though whoever they were couldn't see it, and began to move your hand to the door, checking other supplies around you to make sure none of them fell when you opened the door.

Your sweaty, blood covered hand gripped the doorknob, opening it for a few seconds before quietly closing it once more and concealing you in the soothing darkness.

"I saw you. Alright, you're going to take a left once you leave that closet and then go straight until I tell you otherwise." The voice said.

You nodded once more in the darkness, before carefully letting yourself out of the closet, heart pounding in your ears the entire time, as your foot stepped out into the orange glow of the lights surrounding you.

Your anxiety laced eyes scanned the surrounding hallway before making a quick left from the closet and walking quickly straight forwards like the man had told you to do.

There wasn't any noise currently in the Labs and that meant that everyone else was either in hiding, made it out, or were killed by those creatures.

Your mind couldn't comprehend any of what had happened. How you had gotten here?

Well, that's a story for sure.

"Come on, ___. Please don't. What if you get stuck there or something?" Dustin pleaded with you, trying to get you to change your mind at least for him, if not for yourself.

"Dustin," You finally responded to one of his pleading calls. "I'm going."

You had that determined look in your eye that you always had when it came to helping out your friends or just people in general. It's who you were.

You let go of his hand and walked towards the car where Joyce, Hopper, a sleeping Will, and Mike were all sitting.

"Is he okay?" Mike whispered as you got in the car. You turned to look at him, shutting the door and buckling yourself in before answering back.

"He'll be fine."

Now you wished you had said something different to him in that moment just so he knew how much you cared about him, maybe even loved him.

"Stop!"

You put a finger to your ear, a small jolt of pain rushing to your head from the sudden loud noise as you stopped in place.

"What the hell." You cursed under your breath. "What is it?"

"Keep your voice down or the creatures might find you. I'll need you to quickly run across this hallway when I say go, alright?"

You nodded. "Okay."

There was silence in your earpiece for a minute before the clicking sounds of what could only be the creature's feet moving away from you were heard and then a voice.

"Go."

You were quick to make it across an open hallway spot, seeing two large doors in front of you before you pushed them open, quickly shutting them back in place while the man talked to you.

"One more set of doors and you're home free, you got that, ___?"

You could hear screeching noises which only meant the creatures were coming and you made a bolt for the other two doors in front of you.

You heard banging behind you on the door, before one was knocked down and a squeal erupted. "Shit. Shit. Shit." You cursed, your bloody hand slick with sweat as you tried to quickly open the door.

You finally got it, shutting it closed on one of the dogs before you turned around and saw a sight in front of you that you wished you had never seen.

Before you could help it, a scream ripped through your throat, causing Hopper to turn towards you and rush towards you.

Everything felt like slow motion as you watched all the dogs turn their heads towards you from feasting on Bob and Hopper running towards you.

You felt Hopper gripping your hand as he tugged you out of the Labs, shutting the door as the creatures began to feast again on him but only a few tried to attack.

You felt sick to your stomach.

Bob hadn't made it. Bob hadn't made it and you did?

You wanted to cry, you wanted to scream again, you wanted to do anything but nothing was happening. You couldn't force yourself to make a sound.

Shock filled your eyes as you stared down at the ground, someone tugging you along to the car where they pushed you inside quickly before climbing in themselves.

You stayed in shock the entire way to the Byers.

Someone shook you lightly, signaling that you were now here and you could only nod your head before turning to see Mike facing you with concern all over his face, worry written in his eyes.

"What happened?" You croaked out.

"I'll tell you later when you're feeling better. Right now, someone is worried sick over you and it's not just one of us." Mike responded, watching as you opened the car door and stepped out.

You began to walk up to the Byer's house where Mike was already headed for, Hopper and Joyce probably already inside.

You watched as Mike opened the door and walked inside, you following suit.

You still were covered in blood, sweat, and tears that had found their way down your blood stained cheeks, leaving red trails.

"___?" You heard someone ask.

You turned towards Dustin as he stared at you with confusion and shock, the worry melting away as he took you in his arms as quickly as he possibly could.

"Dustin, I'm all covered in blood." You whispered to him, happy to be in his embrace.

"I don't care. You're safe now, you're with me. That's all that matters in life- that's all that matters to me." He responded.

You smiled.

You then felt him push his lips softly against yours before he let go. "I love you, ___."

You smiled once more.

"I love you too, Henderson. But I just need to find out what all happened and I need a bath."

He nodded, laughing lightly before pulling you back in for another hug. You two both knew that you were going to be up all night worrying and talking about this.

As well as being upset about it.

It was going to be one hell of a night, that's for sure.
