Perfect

a/n: I really liked that last series of imagines that I did so maybe I'll do it for this one depending on how I end it. enjoy!!!

An animatedly laugh, bright eyes, and stupid conversations were the only thing that happened on Saturday nights when you got together with your best friend. You spent most of your time with him in school and outside of it.

A bowl of Chex Mix was placed in between the two of you as a movie played on television in his basement, his sister constantly yelling for us to turn it down because she was trying to study.

"It's not even that loud though." You commented, eating a breadstick and searching a rye chip afterwards. Mike turned to you and nodded in agreement. "She's just being a little petty."

You laughed, focusing now on Nancy who was coming down the stairs with an angry look on her face and a book between her arms. Her eyes landed on me first, immediately softening when she glanced back and forth between us.

"What?" Mike asked, sounding a little pleading for her to leave and I wasn't exactly sure why. She smiled at the two of us sitting, eating Chex Mix and watching television together.

"Mike, can I talk to you upstairs for a minute?" She asked, clutching the book closer to her chest as he groaned and pushed himself off the couch where he was sitting comfortably. He looked over at me and quickly apologized before heading up the stairs.

"What is it, Nancy?" He asked her, the annoyance dripping off his tongue while she just had the widest smile on her face.

"Is that the girl you like?" She exclaimed quietly so that you wouldn't hear any of the words she was saying. She might not be close with her brother or get him, but girls is one thing she did understand and the fact that her little brother now had a crush on a girl, especially one as stunning as you, was exciting for both of them.

"Yes." He said, looking down the stairs, or really anywhere that was at Nancy. "I don't want anything ruined though. I want to see if she likes me back."

Nancy laughed. "Someone as stunning as her liking you is honestly crazy. But I'll support you either way because you finally have a crush on a girl."

Mike rolled his eyes and headed jack downstairs where you were still sitting in the same spot, watching the television as the screen lit up your face. You looked up when you saw him come back down, a smile tugged on your lips. "Hey, what was that all about?" You asked, popping some Chex Mix in your mouth.

"Oh, nothing. Just her being annoyed with me as usual." Mike explained, sitting back down next to you and peeking in the bowl to see that it was getting emptier by the second. Maybe that would be something that could help him get closer to you.

You both kept watching the movie, your eyes never leaving the screen, but Mike glanced over at you every once in a while just to see what your face looked like with the different shifts of color from the screen that were illuminated onto your face.

                                   ...
Only a little while after the movie finished was the Chex Mix finished as well and Mike needed to make some sort of move, anything, really. He got up to stop you from getting up and going on home, and found another mike that he knew you really enjoyed and began playing it.

He sat back down, moving the Chex Mix bowl onto the small, rectangular wooden table that was placed in front of the television.

You looked over at him and smiled, and he instantly felt like he loved you in that very moment. Just a small smile made him realize just how hard he had fallen for you over the past few years.

He excused himself as you continued to watch the movie and he ran upstairs to see Nancy who was sitting in the living room by herself.

"Nancy." He exclaimed, somewhat out of breath from climbing all the stairs and rushing around the house to find her. She looked up from the books she was looking at and looked at her brother. "Yeah?" She asked.

All he did was remember your smile and felt his heart skip twelve beats. "I don't know if I can do this."

She frowned. "Confess your feelings? It's not easy, I won't lie, but it will be better because even if she doesn't like you right then, she'll come around because she knows you'll still be there for her and love her no matter what. Just how hard have you fallen?"

He sighed, looking down at his dirty, old shoes that were rubbed off on the sides and ends, the laces smothered in dirt along with the tops. "Really hard. Like, dangerous hard."

Nancy clicked her tongue. "Alright, well, what are you two doing right now?"

"I just put her favorite movie on, some sci-fi, romance film and I've moved the Chex Mix bowl."

Nancy smiled. "That's your key to success. Moving the Chex Mix bowl means you're allowing her to scoot over towards you, you're open to let her come near you instead of having somewhat of a gap between the two of you. Just go down there and act normal, and let it take its course."

Mike nodded, walking quickly back downstairs so he could see how all of this would go down. When he got down, you yawned and looked over at him, a smile still on your face.

He sat down on the couch, the Chex Mix bowl laying on the table top like it was before he left, and he just waited for something to happen. He waited for you to scoot over, but you didn't for a little while.

Another yawn came and you needed something to rest on. Your first thought went to Mike who was sitting right beside you, and your mind didn't go anywhere else but the person next to you.

Tentatively, you scooted over and laid your head down on his shoulder, relaxing slightly but he tensed up as soon as you did that which made you jerk away from his shoulder to look at him.

"Is something wrong? Should I just get a pillow or-"

He stopped you mid-sentence. "No, no, no. Please, you can do that. It just scared me because I was into the movie." You smiled as you settled your head back onto his shoulder, your hand sliding a ring up and down on your finger.

Your eyes focused back on the movie but you were getting slower more exhausted and tired. For some reason, you felt the need to hold onto something so you sleepily felt around for Mike's hand before finding it and intertwining your fingers with it.

You hummed in satisfaction as Mike felt like he was king of the world, floating on cloud nine. It was the best feeling that he had ever experienced.

Your head began to slip a little so he leaned down some, allowing you more space to lay your head down on his shoulder.

He had imagined about this for quite some time and now, his dream was coming true.

                                  ...
"Mike, ___ has to leave because I have certain rules about girls!" Mrs. Wheeler yelled down the steps, not getting a reply so she came downstairs and saw you and Mike together.

Mike's head was on top of yours as you kept yours on top of his shoulder, both of you hands held tightly together. "Mike, ___ has to go." She said, shaking him awake.

He groaned, looking down at you sleeping beside him and you were nudged awake but Mike's elbow pushing you around slightly.

"What?" He asked, sleepily annoyed at his mother. She smiled sweetly at you who was just now waking up but still tired. "You two are adorable but ___, you have to go home. I'm sorry."

You nodded. "It's probably time for me to go back anyways. Thanks for having me over." You yawned, smiling at Mike as he watched you get and walk up the stairs.

It was when he heard the front door open that he realized he forgot something, something important. "___!" He exclaimed, catching your attention before you shut the door.

You turned around. He stood in the doorway with nothing in his hands as he stared at you. He knew he needed to make a move now or he might never be able to have a chance to date you.

"You've got something right here." He said, pointing to a spot on your face. You rubbed but he said it never came off and you had to go towards him.

He brushed a tiny piece of hair off your face, your heart beat increasing incredibly as you looked up at him. He knew he had to make a move now.

Before you could comprehend what was happening, his lips were on yours and you felt a spark of excitement. You let go probably a little sooner than expected but you needed to go home.

"Goodnight, Wheeler. I'll see you tomorrow." You said, dusting of red blush powdering your cheeks.

'God, she's perfect' is the only thought Mike had in his mind.
