It Wasn't A Suggestion (pt. 3)

a/n: last part!!! enjoy!!!

You wanted to protect Steve because, after all, he picked you and not Carol. Carol could see your eyes flaring with rage towards her but she looked past it to see Steve smiling with a cigarette between his lips behind you.

"Carol, why don't you just leave." Steve said, a little annoyed now with all of Carol in general. She laughed. "I don't have anywhere else to be. I'm sure she's got something smart related going on in her life."

You bit back your tongue, holding back all the words you desperately wanted to say to her. Steve got it handled though, and rather quickly.

"Carol." He said sternly, as she looked up at him. "Leave."

She frowned, brushing his arm on the way out while Tommy followed. You watched them get in the car, making you almost melt with relief that they were finally gone.

You headed for the pool again to jump in but Steve grabbed you by the waist and lifted you into the air, making you laugh rather loudly.

He set you back down, standing with his back towards the pool as you took the cigarette in your mouth, and shoved him in with a bright smile on your lips.

He came back up, smirking. You laughed, going back to an ash tray that Steve had placed out there just for the cigarettes and you suddenly felt someone pushing you into the pool.

You came back up for air to see a giant splash of water beside you. Afterwards, you felt two hands wrap around you, pulling you closer to him as you smiled against his lips.

"This is exactly what I want." You said to him, happiness bouncing off of every word as you laced your hand through his hair and pulled him to you.

His hands found your waist as you both floated around a little bit, the feeling of his lips being all that you needed at that current moment.

When you finally let go, he smiled at you. "You're so hot."

You couldn't help but look at every facial feature he had, your smile being wide as you pressed your lips to his for a brief moment before pulling away.

"I would say the same for you, Harrington."

You sighed, enjoying the coolness of the pool and the night air smelled like cigarette smoke, and you were with your boyfriend. How much better could life have gotten?

                                 ...
You were now upstairs with him, laying your head down on his shoulder after you had both finished changing out of your soaking wet clothes.

"I'm so tired." You yawned out, scooting closer towards him on the bed. He didn't complain nor say anything back but instead rolled over to be on top of you.

"One more, right?" He questioned.

"It wasn't a suggestion, Harrington." You pulled him down to your lips. The taste being a mixture of cigarettes, alcohol, and chlorine was interesting but tasted good at the same time.

"It was never a suggestion."
