Don't You Dare (part one)

a/n: hey, guys! I loved the other superpower imagine series I wrote so I decided to make another one. enjoy :)

PSA: the requests are still being written but this will also be written with parts being updated either before or after a request.

You could feel everything around you with whatever emotion they were feeling and all you needed to do was be in the same room as the person.

You weren't sure how everything happened but it was quick and when you awoke on the side of the street, confusion had been the first thing to set in.

Later that day when you went back home, everything seemed normal until you felt an overwhelming rush of adrenaline for no reason as your mother ran to you and tightly held onto you, scared.

"Are you alright?" She asked, examining your face all over to look for any signs of harm or something to give to the police like some sort of mark on your lip or cheek.

Nothing.

"I'm-I'm fine, mom." You said, feeling so tired and dragged down when you had just felt so rushed a few seconds ago.

Clueless, you let go of your mother and headed upstairs to your bedroom where you tried to figure everything out. It was confusing because as soon as you got to your room, shutting the door behind you, it all felt suddenly normal again.

"What the hell."

-
now

It had been two years since the accident had occurred and you had gotten used to the emotions that were being constantly altered by others.

Anger was the worst, leaving you with a pit of fire in your stomach and tight fists that made claw marks from your nails on the insides of your palm.

Sadness was next on the list and it wasn't the best either. Constant tears were shed, you felt tired all of a sudden and it wasn't fun when you were feeling full of energy beforehand especially. You felt tied down whenever you got this emotion from someone.

You got it a lot from hanging out with Will.

Happiness, however, made you giggly and bubbly all over. You felt sudden rushes of confidence and it was overwhelmingly positive feedback from you wherever you were.

Fear was a bitch. Sudden shots of adrenaline rushed through your body, you felt slightly sweaty, and you occasionally got cold and shaky.

Being nervous also stunk because it caused you to have panic attacks that were blown way out of proportion.

Your friends had always tried to be careful with you whenever they were nervous because they didn't want to ever deal with another one of your incorrect ratio panic attack.

They knew everything but keeping it hidden wasn't easy, especially since you spent so much time outside of your house because fear can't hold you back, even if it's one of the bitchiest.

-
It was colder in Hawkins than the usual warm weather that came with February but as you bunched the scarf around your neck, you felt a shiver run down your spine. You weren't near anyone currently, and even if you were, why were they afraid? Afraid of the cold, afraid of going to school, afraid of what exactly?

You took a quick glance behind your shoulder to see your friend, Will Byers, nervously walking behind you with his head down, with his beat up tennis shoes walk along the pavement.

You felt the adrenaline begin to run through your body, and you really needed this all to stop. You didn't want to deal with these emotions right now so, talking to Will was all you could do.

"Will Byers." You stated, your voice shaky from the controlling emotion of the small, bowl-cut boy.

He looked up and you could see him relax instantly as he looked into your eyes, to your relief. You felt the coolness leave your body as it filled with the lightness of air and a bubbly feeling erupted in your chest.

"___." He smiled at you softly.

"Why were you nervous earlier?" You asked him, a smile still implanted on your face but Will knew you couldn't help it.

"Just school in general, I guess." He responded back, sounding a little sad and you started to feel the emotion set in.

"You have us though." You quickly butted in to keep him from going all sad on you. You weren't about to spend twenty minutes before first period in the bathroom trying to clean the consistently running mascara off of your face like before.

"Oh, and uh, Byers?" You told him before you two started to walk again, bubbles constantly rising in your chest.

He turned to you as you two began the walk to your school still, a smile still implanted on your lips as Will turned to you. "Yeah?" He asked.

"Remember my, uh, gift?" You told him as a wave of apology washed over his face. You immediately felt sympathy weighing you down.

"It's-It's fine, I just feel like there's a weight on me right now so can you please just do it for us, if not for you, and be happy?" You said.

He nodded, pressing a smile to his lips before you sighed and felt the bubbles return.

Happiness was good.

-
It was after second period, the hallways busily bustling with kids from all over, rushing to their classes to be on time but you didn't rush. Instead, you took your time as you felt someone staring in your direction. You could feel the anger bubbling in your chest before you even turned around.

"Stacey." You stated flatly, turning around to face her as she stared at you with a playful smirk on her cherry colored lips.

"___." She stated back, crossing her arms over her chest.

You stood in silence with her for about a solid minute, fists clenched and the lava stream erupting in the pit of your stomach.

"So, what the hell do you want or are you just going to stand there?" You questioned her, giving her a raise of your eyebrow.

She laughed. "Maybe."

You rolled your eyes, walking away from her and her goons to feel the anger bubbling back down to a content feeling as you entered your classroom, to suddenly feel overwhelmed with so many emotions.

"Holy shit." You mumbled, Mr. Clarke turning to face you with a confused expression as to your choice of words.

You looked up at him. "Sorry."

With that, you sat down, the largest headache ever felt in your life weighing you down as your friends turned to face you. You had one hand on your face, the other across your chest as you tried to get rid of the headache that you knew wouldn't go away.

"It must suck having those capabilities." Lucas muttered, Mike shooting him a look as Will and Dustin stared at you.

"S-Someone's sad in this room because it's m-more overwhelming than t-the rest of the emotions." You said quietly, trying to give them a hint.

They didn't say anything.

You looked up from your hand and glanced over at a kid who sat in the corner, a few sniffles coming from his nose.

You groaned softly, putting your head down on your desk as the chills set in and you began to feel the disproportionate crying start to come.

It was somewhat overwhelming to be able to feel every emotion around you, especially since this kid was obviously super upset about something and that made it ten times worse.

Before you could attempt and control it, you began to just cry loudly as everyone, including the crying kid, turned to stare at you.

You raised your hand to leave but Mr. Clarke gave you a nodding smile as you rushed out of the classroom and towards the bathroom, bursting through the door and sitting on the bathroom floor as tears kept coming.

"I hate this. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it." You said in between crying as you tried to wipe The continual flow of mascara.

"Having powers sucks."
