Chapter Twenty-Eight: Prank Wars

"Just wait for a second, wait!" I hurried Keita out of the way. "The box is all wrong, you have to put it sideways!" I stepped onto the little stool thing and quickly put the box back in its place. It contained baby powder and would douse our little chosen ones unexpectedly in a few minutes.

We had been planning the prank last night as Matthew, Keita, and I had unleashed a prank war on Junhyeon, Gunwook, and Gio after they had pranked us first with wasabi candy.

Matthew was looking out of the studio window.

"Incoming, incoming!"

We hurried to the other side of the door and waited for Gunwook to throw open the door and get the full brunt of our prank. We were aiming for him the most.

"Sshht!" I hushed them, and Keita dragged me to his chest as the door opened. I was already silently laughing.

"Surprise!" we yelled in sync as we jumped out of our hiding spot when the box dropped.

It had hit someone already. Or two people.

Two people we weren't expecting.

Jiwoong and Lux.

Great, just great.

What were they doing here!?

They looked confused as they blinked through their white, doused hair and faces. Lux was coughing, and Jiwoong was just casually dusting it off his jacket.

"What are you doing here?" I yelled. "And sorry about that. It wasn't meant for you!"

Matthew and Keita were rushing to help and were dusting it off with them.

"I figured that out, thanks," Lux said, clearly a little unhappy, as Matthew tried wiping away some powder from her arms.

"Gunwook said this studio was empty for the day," Jiwoong laughed, with a smile coating his lips. He found it amusing.

That little bastard!

I gave Matthew and Keita knowing looks. He had set us up! We would need to regroup and think about something else.

"We were looking for a quiet place to talk," Lux said and gave me a tired look. "I guess we'll try one of the recording studios."

It was odd they were looking to speak in private. I didn't want to ask why, but it was on the tip of my tongue. Matthew, God bless, asked it anyway.

"Why?"

Lux gave him the none of your business raised eyebrows and, without another word, left us to clean up the powdery mess we had left behind.
