JJ's Sister

Pretty self explanatory considering the title.

Uh I'm not really sure what genre this is

Word Count: 1577

You were a junior reporter for The Baltimore Sun. Your sister was an agent with the FBI. She was in town working a case. Two women were dead and another was missing. You needed the scoop.

You and a bunch of other reporters were surrounding your sister. She just kept saying no comment. Her and some other agents were at the latest abduction sight. People were asking if it was related to the bodies that were found. You knew it was.

The other reporters left but you hung back to talk to your sister. See if she'll tell you something.

You approached your sister, "Hey JJ"

"Hey Y/n" JJ said.

"Got a scoop for me?"

"Seriously? Come on, tell me something. I'm your sister for crying out loud"

Something or rather someone caught your attention. A really hot and cute one at the same time. You didn't hear what JJ said.

JJ waved her hand in your face, "Hello?"

Your sister's voice snapped you back into focus.

You commented, "Sorry, I just got a bit distracted. What did you just say?"

JJ replied, "That I'll give you the full story once I can"

"Okay but who's that?" You pointed to the distraction, "Is that Spence?"

"Yeah. I know that look on your face"

"What look?"

"The look when you see something you like"

"I have no idea what you're talking about. I've got to go back to the office. I'll see you later"

"Bye"

You left and went back to the office. You set down at your desk in the bullpen. There was a mysterious envelope on your desk. You had no idea where it came from. You opened it and saw a message written in blood on paper. It said why haven't you written our story?

You knew you had to go. You put it back in the envelope and picked up your stuff. You made your way you the station.

As you entered your older sister approached you, "Y/n I already told you. I can't tell you anything yet"

"That's not why I'm here" You got the envelope out, "This is"

You handed her the envelope and she opened it. She read the message written in blood.

JJ waved someone over, "Hotch you need to see this"

An older man with dark hair came over and saw the message.

He asked you, "Do you know who sent this?"

You answered, "No, it was sitting on my desk when I got back"

"I need to show this to the team"

The envelope and message were bagged. JJ led you over to the team. After the message, she wasn't going to let you out of her sight.

"Who's this?" asked Prentiss.

Your eyes went to Spence. He looked hot still so it wasn't just the perspective. You were pretty sure your sister introduced you but you got distracted again. He was very distracting. Of course you didn't just stare at him, you looked around him as to not draw attention to yourself.

"Y/n!" exclaimed JJ

Once again your sister's voice brought you back to reality.

"Uh sorry" you stated.

JJ told you, "We'll take about the look on your face later but for now you're not leaving the station"

"What? You can't be serious. I have work to do"

"I am serious. You're not leaving. I don't want you to get hurt"

You said, "You can't ground me and make me stay here"

JJ exclaimed, "Actually yes I can. I have police making sure you don't leave this building"

You couldn't believe your sister. You gave up talking to her and starting working on another one of your articles on your laptop. Right now, you were so pissed at your sister.

It was hard to work when you were so mad. You couldn't write so you just slammed your laptop shut.

One of your sister's friend who you had to guess was Emily Prentiss asked you, "Writer's block?"

You replied, "Yeah kind of. It's just hard to write when I'm mad"

"She's just looking out for you"

"I know. She always since"

You didn't finish your sentence. It was since your other sister committed suicide. JJ took it upon herself to look after you so the same thing wouldn't happen to you.

Prentiss said, "Wait a second. Can you stand in front of the board?"

"Yeah"

You stood in front of the board between the pictures of the victims.

Something must have clicked inside her head, "Oh my god. Our story"

"What?" you asked.

Emily Prentiss announced"The unsub's in love with you"

That was the craziest thing you had heard all day.

Prentiss explained, "He's working the courage up to talk to you. Our story. He kidnaps and kills these women because they look like you. He plays out his fantasies with these women but he kills them because the fantasy couldn't last. They weren't you"

You couldn't believe what Prentiss was saying. She shared the idea with the rest of the team and they agreed with it. Your sister was right.

The team asked you some questions. You hadn't noticed anyone strange but you had noticed a strange car following you once. You wrote down the plate number. You gave it to them. GLM 2596

The plate was registered to a dark grey SUV and to a person named Ryan Davis. You didn't know anyone with that name but they said it was unlikely that you knew him personally.

They sent the team and a swat team over to his house. You stayed at the station with your sister. She started giving you an exclusive interview about the case. You could take this story live once the guy was caught. This could be your big break. You were surprisingly happy about this whole situation.

The team came back and Ryan Davis was in cuffs. He was the unsub. He was currently unemployed and his house had pictures of all his victims and you plastered all over. The last victim was luckily still alive and in the hospital.

Once he was brought into the station, he looked over to you and declared 'his love' for you. You knew he was a creep. Not long after you ran your story on live TV. It was amazing.

Your sister told you, "You did a great job, Y/n"

"Thanks. JJ" you responded.

"Now back to that look on your face that you had earlier"

"I don't what you're talking about" you lied.

JJ said,"Oh come on. You were so checking Reid out"

"Maybe just a little"

She waved her friend over,"Hey Spence! Come over here!"

Your face went red, "JJ!"

Reid or Spence as your sister sometimes called him came over to the both of you. You were nervous and started playing with your bracelet that used to belong to your other sister.

JJ told him, "Spence, there's something my sister wants to ask you"

You couldn't believe your sister. Really, JJ?

"Yeah what is it?" asked Spencer

Spencer turned to you and you couldn't look him in the eye. You just looked down at his shoes  and pretended to kick rocks. Going on National TV, easy. Asking out a really hot guy, impossible. He had to ask you out.

"Uh JJ" you muttered

JJ stated, "Y/n's just a little shy. Come on, just ask him"

Your phone started going off before you could ask him. You answered it after separating yourself from your sister and Spencer. It was the Washington Post. They just saw your story and offered you a job as a senior reporter. You said yes of course. You could be closer to your sister and Henry.

You went over to your sister who was talking to Spencer. You made sure to face away from him. You were pretty embarrassed from your sister being your wing woman. You were pretty sure he was going to say no. You were also pretty sure he once asked your sister out on a date but she didn't think it was a date but he did.

You announced, "That was The Washington Post. They just offered me a job as a senior reporter"

"And you said yes, right?" asked JJ.

"Of course I did"

You and JJ started jumping up and down and squealing with joy. You were so happy. You would get your own office. You'd be closer to JJ, Will, and Henry. You loved Henry. He was so cute. JJ never told you that his godfather was hot.

Emily Prentiss came over, "What's all the commotion?"

You replied. "I just got a really great job at The Washington Post!'

"That's great"

"Henry's going to be so excited" claimed JJ

Spencer asked you."What did you want to ask me?"

You asked him so fast you weren't sure if he was going to comprehend what you were saying, "Do you want to go out on a date with me?"

He looked to JJ as to ask her if it was okay. She nodded and he faced you again.

"Sure, yeah" he answered.

He seemed as nervous and unsure as you.

You said, "Yeah, great. uh JJ can give you my number"

You turned and kind of ran away. That was so successful. You went back to work and started sorting things out with your new job. Spencer texted you and you two went out later that night. It had to be that night because he was in Baltimore. It went surprisingly well. You were actually glad that someone had been obsessed with you because you got to go on a date with a hot friend of your sister's.
