Guilty

angst, again.

You were a call girl to put it nicely. Not so nice would be a high end prostitute. You lived in an apartment with your boyfriend, Spencer Reid, that one of your clients payed for.

Three of your clients had been murdered, throats slashed. One of which was paying for your apartment. You were packing up to move. Spencer was out, not helping.

You had heard the FBI was in town. You figured they might blame for you for what happened to your clients plus you were already planning on selling your client list and getting away from that life.

You were almost done packing when Spencer came back to the apartment. He had changed his clothes but this wasn't the first time he came back wearing different clothes so you didn't question it.

You told him,"Hey Spence, you know this packing would go a lot faster if you helped me"

"I know but I know where we should go. I have a plan" He wrapped his arms around you.

"And what is that plan?"

It was Spencer's idea to move, to start a new life, and to sell your list. You thought it was a good idea. You had saved up a lot of money. The only thing that wasn't planned was where you were going and what you do.

Spencer said, "Let's go to Vegas"

You questioned him,"Vegas? Why do you want to go back?"

"I can win lots of money playing poker, I know I can because I did that when I was a kid. And we can get married. You can get a better job if you want and we can happy. All I want to do is make you happy"

The way he said make you happy melted your heart.

"Did you just say get married?" you asked.

He responded,"Yes I did. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Y/n L/n will you marry me?"

You exclaimed, "Yes! Yes!"

"I don't have a ring yet but I can get one"

"I don't need a ring. I just need you"

"I love you so much"

"I love you too"

Agents Elizabeth Mills and Derek Morgan were checking out the latest crime scene, the parking lot of a hotel. Drew Johnson had been murdered on the way back to his car. His throat was slashed, very bloody. Whoever did this must've gotten blood all over him.

Morgan started, "So I'm the unsub"

"And I'm walking out to my car" finished Mills.

Morgan snuck up, "And then I cut his throat but I don't run immediately. I push him down, why?"

"Anger. Simply cutting his throat wasn't enough. He had to push him down as well. He need him to hurt more"

Prentiss and Hotch were working victimology. So far not much of a connection. All men in early thirties to late forties. Two of them were married, the other had a fiancée, and one of them even had an eleven year old girl. All of them had money, upper class, high risk victims. None of them worked together.

Drew Johnson, the latest victim, was murdered in the early morning. The unsub was getting bolder.

Prentiss said, "They were at hotels. They rented a room for one night. Drew's wife thought he was working late"

"They were having affairs" stated Hotch.

Hotch's phone rang with a call from Garcia.

"What did you find Garcia?" asked Hotch.

Garcia answered, "Each of them had been regularly taking out large amounts of money in cash before renting a hotel room. One of them even has an apartment uptown that his wife didn't know about"

Prentiss concluded, "A call girl and a high end one at that"

"We need to find this girl" said Hotch.

"Garcia, we need an address"

Garcia told them,"Got it already, 568 Mose Lane apartment 9B"

Hotch and Prentiss got ready and went to the apartment. They knocked but no answer. The door was unlocked so they just walked right in.

The apartment was pretty empty. A few pieces of furniture left but other than that it was empty.

Prentiss put her gun back into her holster, "Looks like she's not here

Hotch finished the thought, "And I don't think she's coming back"

Prentiss and Hotch asked neighbors about them but they didn't know about them, just that it was a couple. They hardly ever saw the call girl but they did see him a few times in the hall. They weren't able to get a name for either of them.

Prentiss and Hotch went back to the station and met the rest of the team there.

There was a call girl there. She said that she had recently bought a client list with the three murder victims on it but their names had been crossed off.

"Who gave you this list?" Hotch asked.

The call girl named Anne answered, "Her name is Y/n L/n, she said that she was leaving town and starting over with her boyfriend. She didn't say where though"

Morgan left the room and went to call Garcia.

Morgan said, "Hey Baby girl, I need everything you can get on Y/n L/n and her boyfriend"

"Can I get a name for the boyfriend?" asked Garcia.

"Sorry babygirl but that's something we don't have"

"Okay then. I'll call you back when I have something"

Garcia was able to dig up all your dirt. Your father abandoned you and your mother died when you were eighteen. You had no siblings. You started as a stripper and then worked your way up to being a high end call girl.

She was able to get your boyfriend's identity from a hospital record from last year. He was the one who picked you up after one of your client's wives got into a fight with you.

Garcia called Morgan back, "I've got all the dirt for you"

Morgan told her, "Thanks babygirl, I'm putting you on speaker now"

"Okay so she had a pretty rough childhood, her father left when she was eight and her mother died when she 18. She worked her way up. Last year, she got into a fight with one of her client's wives. And that's not even the most interesting things I found"

"What is?" asked Prentiss

Garcia answered,"I'm pretty sure she's pregnant. Her recent purchases include prenatal vitamins and medicines along with a box of pregnancy tests"

"If that's not a good reason to quit being a call girl, I don't know what is" remarked Rossi.

Prentiss pointed out,"The only problem is with her job, she can't know who the father is"

Mills said, "Not unless a paternity test is taken"

Morgan commented, "It could be the stressor, finding out she was pregnant and not knowing"

Mills deducted,"But not for her. Think about it. She was quitting, retiring from the game so why kill the clients? And if it was her, why wait for them to leave? It could be the boyfriend. Garcia, what do you have on him?"

Garcia replied, "Doctor Spencer Reid was born in Las Vegas and in my professional opinion, he's a genius. He graduated high school when he was twelve. He has three PHD's and two BA'S. He was a teacher's assistant at a local college but he quit recently. He enrolled in the FBI academy but quit after two days"

"He would have reason to be angry at the clients, thinking one of them could've gotten his girlfriend pregnant instead of him" Morgan said.

"He does have some daddy issues as his father left him and his paranoid schizophrenic mother when he was only ten. His mother has been institutionalized since he was 18. He is in the system, aggravated assault but they decided not to charge him," Garcia said, "Apparently, the guy he attacked was you guessed it, one of his girlfriend's clients. He owns a blue ford pickup. She doesn't have a car so if they're leaving they would've taken the pickup. I've sent you over the license plate"

Hotch said, "We need an APB out for them and the car. We need road blocks. We can't have them leave"

You were already on your way to Vegas and out of California. Vegas was only a six hour drive and it had been two hours already and stopping for gas. Your phone rang. You didn't recognize the number so you didn't answer it. It rang again. It was a DC number.

You turned to him"Someone's calling me"

"Don't answer it" Spencer told you.

"Okay"

Your phone rang again. It was the same number. You had no idea why they kept calling you. This time Spencer took your phone and answered it.

A voice from the phone said,"This is Agent Prentiss with the FBI"

Spencer told them, "I don't care and stop calling this number"

Spencer hung up on them and got out of the car. He threw your phone in the trash and put the pump back.

Once he came back into the car you told him, "That was my phone. Why did you throw it away?"

He said,"We'll get you a new one once we get to Las Vegas, okay?'

"Okay, can I get a snack? I'm hungry"

"I can go in and get you something. What do you want?'

"Muddy buddies, the peanut butter and chocolate kind"

Back at the station, the team was trying to have Garcia trap and trace the phone call from her office in Quantico.

Hotch asked, "Garcia, were you able to get a location?"

Garcia replied,"No, sorry. He wasn't on for long enough but he's not in California anymore. I was only able to track him down to Nevada"

"He's from Las Vegas. What if he's going back?" asked Morgan.

JJ came into the room,"They just found another body, Jackson Prue. He's been dead for at least three hours now"

"Two bodies in the same day? That's one hell of an escalation" remarked Prentiss.

Rossi said, "He was on the client list. He wanted to get one last kill in before he left"

JJ pointed out,"But he wasn't found outside a hotel. He had just came home"

Hotch came up with a plan, "JJ, I need you to contact the Las Vegas police. Make sure they know we're coming and lock down the city. Rossi, JJ, and I will go to Vegas. Morgan, Mills. and Prentiss can check out the last crime scene"

JJ called the LVPD and filled them in on the situation on the way to the airport. They set up road blocks and issued an APB for the blue ford pickup and Spencer Reid.

Three and a half hours later, you and Spencer encountered the road blocks. You had no idea why there would be road blocks but you figured the two of you could just turn around and stay at local inn and try again in the morning. That plan you quickly made in your head was stopped when a police officer came over the truck.

The officer knocked on the driver's window. You could've sworn you heard Spencer mutter shit. Spencer wound the window down to talk to the officer.

The officer told him,"Sir, I'm going to need you to step outside the vehicle"

Spencer complied but you saw him pull something out of his pocket. He turned to face the officer then pulled out a bloody knife. You watched as your fiancé stabbed him and killed him. You were horrified at the sight of what just happened.

Spencer came back to car and put the knife back into his pocket.

"Spencer, why did you just do that?" you asked.

He answered in a tone of voice you had never heard him use,"He would've arrested me and I couldn't let that happen. I couldn't let them separate us"

"Arrest you for what?'

He didn't answer.

"Spencer! Arrest you for what?" you asked.

He buckled his seatbelt,"We're leaving"

You unbuckled your seat belt and tried to leave the car but the door was locked. You couldn't unlock it.

You said, "Spence, let me go"

He pulled his knife out on you, "You're not going anywhere"

You were completely terrified. You had no idea Spencer was capable of murder until you watched kill a police officer right in front of you.

Spencer "Now buckle your seat belt. I need you and the baby to be safe"

You complied because you didn't know what Spencer would do if you didn't. At this point, you really hoped the paternity test that was taken would come back as not a match.

Spencer turned the car around and started driving again.

"Where where are we going, Spence?" you asked.

He answered,"We're going to get married. Can't raise our baby without getting married first"

"Today?"

"Yeah, today. Do you have a problem with that?"

You said,"No no, it's just a don't have a dress"

"You have a white dress from an angel costume don't you?" asked Spencer.

"Yeah but it's packed in the back"

"You can wear that"

You gulped. You were terrified. You knew the FBI must be on his trail so you had hope they would find you soon.

Garcia had come across something big in your email so she had to call Hotch.

Garcia said, "Hotch, I found something you're going to want to know about"

"What did you find?" asked Hotch.

"Y/n just got an email for this doctor and it's the paternity test results. The baby's DNA is a match for Spencer's. He's the father not one of the clients"

"Thank you Garcia"

"Uh oh"

Hotch asked,"What is it, Garcia?"

"They just registered at a chapel outside of Vegas to get married" responded Garcia.

"Garcai we need the address of that chapel"

"I already sent it to your handhelds"

"You're the best, Garcia"

"Why thank you sir"

Rossi, JJ, and Hotch went with some police to the chapel. They burst into the chapel interupting your wedding. At first you felt some relief but then Spencer grabbed you and held a knife to your throat.

Rossi announced,"Put the knife down, Spencer"

Spencer told the agents, "Put the guns down. then I'll drop the knife"

"You know we can't do that, Spencer" said Rossi.

Spencer tightened his grip on you,"I will kill her"

No no no. Spencer wouldn't do that, would he? He loved you but could he even love? He didn't strike you as a psychopath but he did kill people.

Hotch told him, "You don't want to that Spencer. If you kill her, you'll kill your baby as well"

Spencer yelled, "You don't know if it's mine because of all those stupid men! I told her to stop but she didn't not until she got pregnant!"

Hotch said,"It is your baby, Spencer. A paternity test was taken and your DNA matches the baby"

Spencer eased his grip, "Really?"

"Yes really. I can show the test if you want"

Spencer dropped the knife and let you go. The agents came over and one of them put him in hand cuffs. You didn't notice the tears rolling down your cheeks as you watched. A female agent asked if you were okay and you shook your head no. She took you to the station.

You were questioned by the agents and the police. You didn't know what Spencer did until they showed you. You only knew he was a killer when he murdered a police officer right in front of you.

You asked them about the paternity test, to see if they lied. They said they were sorry but no, they didn't lie. Spencer was the father. You were carrying the baby of a serial killer.

Spencer was guilty of five accounts of murder but deep down, you still had feelings for him. Very deep down and not as strong feelings as they used to be considering he threatened to kill you with a knife.

A/N Mwhahahaha, mwhahahahahaha. In the last one, Spencer was thought to be the unsub and wasn't but in this one he was! Agent (Elizabeth) Mills is my OC in case you missed that in the last chapter. Anyways in the next one, you'll both be a part of the BAU. Quick question, do you prefer author's notes at the beginning or end of the chapter?

Another quick question, would you like to one where you and Spencer are criminal partners or not?
